Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 439: Two Deaths (Bonus)

”!!!”

Everyone was stunned.

An elite class core was a precious treasure. It wouldnʼt be weird if they got one million ena with just a single core. It was basically a core that could turn anyone into an Arcane Summoner.

So, it was a priceless treasure.

Yet, not only did Elysion have two, he planned to give both of them to Vivian.

It was all because of the words from Nathan. What was actually going on? Did Elysion actually favor Nathan?

If that was the case, they might have to treat Nathan differently.

After all, Elysion could destroy a kingdom if he wanted to.

Still, if it was something too good to be true, there was no way they could accept it right away.

Even Vivian became cautious the moment she heard that offer. ”Why do you want to give me the two cores? What do you want?”

Elysion smiled. ”Nothing in particular. Well, I guess you can tell your disciple my message. If he faces a problem that he canʼt solve, come to my castle. Of course, the price will be huge.”

”!!!”

Their doubts had just been confirmed. For one reason or another, Elysion really favored Nathan.

If this was the case, a single word from Nathan could actually destroy their kingdom.

Of course, getting Nathan on their side would mean the same thing.

Vivian frowned. ”Why do you favor my disciple? I donʼt think he has done anything special. He has a unique way of thinking, but I donʼt think itʼs beneficial for you.”

He shook his head. ”Have you experienced death?”

”Death? Seeing others dying?”

”No. Your own death.”

Vivian was startled. No one had experienced something like that. If they had, they wouldnʼt be here.

There was no resurrection ability either. Even the Pope didnʼt dare to mess with the life and death cycle.

Elysion smiled. ”There are two people in this world who have experienced death. The first one is me, and the second one… I will let you guess.”

He let them guess, but there was nothing to guess after he mentioned it right after talking about Nathan.

It was clear that the second person was Nathan.

But what did he mean? Nathan had died? There was no way Nathan had died.

As for Elysion, they didnʼt understand either. Still, considering he had three Death Gods as his familiar, he might experience death in one way or another.

But how did Nathan die?

Everyone, except for Vivian, was confused.

Vivian was simply too shocked. There was a certain possibility that could match his description.

ʼNow that I think about it, Nathan is reported to have had a very large ena reserve when he was scouted. However, that large ena reserve is completely gone. His familiar doesnʼt take it… It is as if itʼs completely vanished without a trace.

ʼWhy is that? How can one describe that phenomenon? What if he has died, which causes his large ena reserve to disappear?

ʼFrom the report, Nathanʼs ena is at least several times larger than Selenaʼs. No. His talent might be on par with Elysion. All that talent is gone.

ʼIs it related to this ʼdeath?ʼ Does Nathan know this? I need to ask him.ʼ

Little did everyone know, the ʼDeathʼ that Nathan experienced, Vivian suspected, and Elysion mentioned had a different meaning.

Sullivan noticed Vivianʼs shocked expression. He realized that there might be something he didnʼt know about Nathan that Vivian was also not aware of.

Elysion chuckled. ”Well, you donʼt have to put much thought into it. Letʼs see… If I have to come up with a reason, itʼs just to fulfill my familiarsʼ wishes.

”I guess youʼre not aware that my familiars are connected to his familiars.”

”Connected?” Vivian was confused, but she soon remembered that they asked something along the lines when they were coming in.

”Brother… Guardian of the tomb…” Vivian muttered those two connections.

”Hmph. What a nosy man. Since a meeting is not possible, I will just take my leave. Either way, it looks like the discussion is already done. Letʼs just go back.” Hel harrumphed and disappeared into thin air.

”Oi. Why are you so rude? Donʼt leave so suddenly…” Osiris let out a long sigh before following Hel.

Only King Yama remained. He just looked fiercely as if he kept a record of every action they made.

”I guess I spoke too much. You can forget about them. Itʼs not that important.” Elysion smiled. ”I donʼt think there are a lot of things left for the meeting, so just send the contract to my castle and I will sign it. Donʼt worry. All the expenses that I need will be covered by me, including the royalties. Then…”

Elysion nodded and stood up. He left before anyone could speak.

However, it didnʼt matter to them. The most important thing was how Nathan and Elysion were connected.

Elysion only spoke a few words, but those few words could easily become a national crisis.

If Nathan actually gained Elysion as his backer, his status would be elevated even further. No, to be precise, how could their kingdom be compared to Elysion?

Even though Elysion didnʼt have a kingdom, his strength had surpassed a single kingdom.

If getting Nathan could mean getting Elysionʼs power, they would give up everything they had.

When Vivian mentioned not dragging them into the politics, they thought they could do it. But even if they lost the magic weaponʼs right, as long as they could have Nathan, it didnʼt matter anymore.

Other people could sanction them to gain their favor, but no one probably dared to do it since it would make Elysion angry.

That was why all eyes were on Vivian. They were thinking hard about how to get Nathan on their side.

Obviously, the person who was ahead of the others was none other than the Pope. He had acknowledged their relationship, and Seraʼs relationship with the Holy Kingdom was good, unlike Selenaʼs with the Ashton family or the Azilia Kingdom.

Sullivan couldnʼt help but think, ʼMatchmaking Saint, huh? No more sword saint, I guess. Time to create a new banner… ah, also a new robe and change the Sword Saint title to the Matchmaking Saint.ʼ
