Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 433: Alavenya Moving In

A few days later.

”My lord. Lady Alavenya wishes to speak with you.” A staff from the mercenary group came to the mountain the Dragon King usually trained.

”Hmm?” The Dragon King raised his head. ”Is that so? She doesnʼt come here like usual?”

”Yes. It seems to be something important. She is waiting for you in your office.”

The Dragon Kingʼs expression turned serious. He couldnʼt help but wonder what was going on. The last thing he heard about her was that she was going on a mission with Nathan.

ʼDid something happen to them? Donʼt tell me, did she kill Nathan? But in a head-on battle, Nathan shouldnʼt lose. The Summoners War confirmed it.

ʼPoison? Nah, she might be wild, but she was honorable. What was it then? She only met me like this whenever the matter was extremely big.ʼ

The Dragon King couldnʼt come up with a possible reason.

ʼIf killing him wasnʼt the problem…ʼ The Dragon King fell silent for a moment. For some reason, he remembered that Nathan was known for another thing.

ʼWait a minute. Did she get seduced by Nathan during the mission? Considering he became famous recently, did she try to make amends with him?

ʼDid he force himself on her? I donʼt care if he wants to court her, but if he forces himself on her, I need to question his character…ʼ

The Dragon Kingʼs expression turned grim. The moment he thought of the most plausible reason, he immediately used his fastest speed to return to his office, finding Alavenya already waiting for him.

The table was filled with food. Normally, Alavenya would be eating happily, saying that she couldnʼt think of such an important matter with an empty stomach.

But for some reason, Alavenya was just sitting there, looking at the food but didnʼt have the appetite. His heart sank because of this unusual thing.

”Whatʼs wrong?” The Dragon King asked with a serious expression. ”Did something happen to you?”

Alavenya raised her head, looking the Dragon King in the eye. She was facing a dilemma. On the one hand, the one in front of her was the father she respected and loved so much. On the other hand, this betrayal was just too painful.

Seeing Alavenya didnʼt respond to him immediately, the Dragon King approached her while asking, ”Did Nathan do something to you during that mission? Did he force himself on you?”

Alavenya couldnʼt help but clench her hands into fists. She wondered why her father thought that way, as if Nathan was some sort of criminal.

ʼHave I really misunderstood him this whole time? Despite all that mistreatment, he is still able to smile and help me…ʼ Alavenya bit her lips. She slammed the table while standing up.

The loud bang startled the Dragon King, as he had never seen Alavenya this angry. ”What? Whatʼs going on?”

Alavenyaʼs expression turned solemn. ”Father…”

”Yes?”

”I have a question. Iʼd like it if you could answer my question honestly.”

”Whatʼs with this politeness? What is this question?” The Dragon King was confused. ʼWhat question? Is she going to ask what I will do if she is pregnant with Nathanʼs child or something?ʼ

However, the reality might not be so different. Alavenya took a deep breath, having a hard time calming herself down.

After a few seconds, she asked, ”Did you really want me to go to the Frexia Academy?”

”Eh?” The Dragon King was startled. He thought it would be a heavy question, but it turned out to be a normal question.

But before he answered, Alavenya shook her head. ”Sorry, let me change my question. The mission that you gave Nathan in exchange for the draconian blood… Did it mention anything about me going to the Frexia Academy?”

The Dragon King dropped his jaw.

Even if the Dragon King didnʼt answer this question, his reaction alone was enough.

Alavenyaʼs body started trembling. It was true. Her father had sold her off. She felt betrayed.

”Thatʼs enough. I donʼt want to hear your explanation.” Alavenya took a deep breath before storming out of the room.

”Sweetie.” The Dragon King wanted to chase after her, but Alavenya simply ignored everything else and ran as quickly as possible, not wanting to hear anything from her father. ”Alavenya. Wait!”

…

Frexia Academy.

”Ha… Ha… This is cold.” Nathan let out a warm breath in his hands while looking up. He was sitting in the garden by himself, muttering inwardly, ʼNow that I think about it, itʼs been more than five months since Iʼve come to this world. In a few weeks, it will be New Year.

ʼWith this kind of civilization, I wonder how many people have to die during winter?ʼ Nathan shook his head helplessly. ʼWell, it canʼt be helped. Itʼs not like I have anything to help others.ʼ

Nathan wanted to close his eyes, but he actually noticed a small white sphere gradually falling down.

”Hmm?” Nathan raised his head. ʼSnow? It has started snowing, huh? The temperature is going to drop even further. I guess there arenʼt a lot of activities we can do. In addition, we need mantles, goggles, and masks if we want to go on a mission during the snow. Do they have a convenient technique like warming oneʼs body with oneʼs ena or something?ʼ

While he was relaxing, he could hear a knock on the main door.

”Hmm?”

”Who is it?” Selena went to the main door, finding an unexpected guest. ”Nathan!”

”Yeah?” Nathan was confused, wondering who was important enough to make him appear.

When he reached the front door, he saw Alavenya, her hands holding bags containing her items. Her hair was disheveled, as if she had just scratched her head after thinking about stressing things.

”Are you all right?” Nathan looked worried.

The proud Alavenya unexpectedly lowered her head. ”You said this would be a good time to treat my anger issue. If itʼs not too much, could I move in with you? It will be much more convenient for you if I stay here.

”I know Iʼm shameless to ask this, but can you stop receiving payment from my father? I will be the one repaying you for the treatment.”
