I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 196 - 196 193 Invitation to Guests196: Chapter 193 Invitation to Guests 196: Chapter 193 Invitation to Guests Xie Sen finally chose Tree House No.

555 on the hilltop opposite the lake, a sure lakeview house.

After painstakingly adjusting the house type several times, he settled on it.

While he was busy with the house, Mu Ying teleported back to the Plantation, intending to tell Bo He and Tao Hua to hide a bit later, so they wouldn’t be discovered.

Goblins are naturally skilled in Concealment, and they have spells like Eternal Illusion that can mask their traces of existence.

Only those who have gained their approval, or Druids who possess Natural Protection and are immune to the charming ability of spiritual creatures, can detect their hidden traces.

Under the Gem Tree, Mu Ying found three super-miniature houses.

One house had a peach blossom that was still in bloom in the winter on its roof, and another house’s roof was covered with several mint leaves.

These two were probably the homes of Tao Hua and Bo He.

So who does this last one belong to, the small house with a cluster of black Iron Bamboo leaves on top?

“Tao Hua, Bo He!” Mu Ying glanced at the new leaves on the Gem Tree and called out in Mu Clan Language.

As expected, the number of Gem Fairies emerging from the bushes increased from two to three.

The last one was a black-haired, black-eyed Gem Fairy with Iron Bamboo leaves for clothes.

She deeply felt that she had been away from home for too long and had missed many things.

“How do you say Iron Bamboo in Mu Clan Language again?” Mu Ying flipped through her Mu Clan Language primer book, quickly scanning the entries.

After a while, she finally settled on a name for the new Gem Fairy.

After playing and frolicking with them for a while, reminding them to hide later and not to go near the Vegetable Garden, Mu Ying teleported back to Xie Sen’s Tree House in a hurry.

“In the blink of an eye, you disappeared; I thought you had run off, and my lunch was going to be ruined!” Xie Sen said, not without complaint.

Mu Ying gave an awkward laugh, “Isn’t this because I went back to prepare some ingredients?

Come on, let’s go now!”

She dragged Xie Sen along with Aqing and the little wolf cub, all teleporting to the Plantation.

Then she pulled out a large basket for Xie Sen, “This here is the Vegetable Garden.

Whatever you want, you dig for yourself.

I suggest you get more filling crops, like green potatoes.

They’re a variant of sweet potatoes that keep well—other than the color change and the larger size, there’s no difference from regular sweet potatoes.”

“Wow!

Can I pick whatever I want?” Xie Sen looked over the vibrant, well-growing vegetables, his breathing heavy with excitement, “How do you plant these?

When I’m not home for two months, not even a wild weed grows in the fields.

If I don’t go back for two months, the grass in the yard would probably swallow me whole.”

“Secret!” Mu Ying said proudly.

It’s obvious, of course, it’s because she had the help of the Gem Fairies—snail maiden fairies!

During her absence, they picked mature vegetables every day and teleported them to the Territory Specialty Store.

She granted the Gem Fairies the privilege of teleporting items within the territory, which had been a big help to her.

They were the ones taking care of the Vegetable Garden and the entire Plantation!

Xie Sen snorted and entered the Vegetable Garden like a little monkey coming down the mountain, wanting this and liking that, determined to earn back some of the money he lost on buying the house today.

Mu Ying shook her head, not bothering to watch his foolishness, and went into the wooden house by herself.

Closing the door, she waved the Magic Wand and the cooking began in an orderly fashion.

“I saw on the forum that you gave the Half-Breed an entire Sub-camp to manage?” Xie Sen suddenly asked during their meal.

Mu Ying glanced at him, “What about it?

You want to buy it?”

“Of course!

Who wouldn’t want to own a piece of land to control?” Xie Sen had an obsession with territory.

Before, it was houses, which is why he chose to build his own house in the wild when times were tough in Lingtian Town.

Now having just purchased a Tree House, and upon seeing Mu Ying’s Plantation, naturally, he wanted one too!

“If you just want to plant vegetables, leasing land is possible, but buying a camp might be difficult,” Mu Ying said.

Xie Sen shook his head, “I don’t want to lease, only to buy.

Will you sell the land?”

Mu Ying shook their head, “No, we won’t sell.”

“What about the camp?

What are the conditions for purchasing?” Xie Sen continued to ask.

“It depends on whether it’s for commercial or personal use.

For commercial use, like what the Half-Breed Clan does, with their business street contributing to the tax revenue, it’s cheaper at 100 gold.

For personal use, without tax revenue for me, it’s going to be much more expensive, at 1000 gold, and the area will be smaller.

But the premise for all this is being a Five-star resident, which requires Territory Contributions – that can’t be rushed,” Mu Ying said.

“The Half-Breed Clan Chief has to be at my beck and call for a long time to achieve this Five-star resident status.

If he doesn’t finish, his people have to take his place.

And this is only possible because I have a contract with a whole clan that allows for the advance of contributions.”

Xie Sen: “..., is this something a person can afford?”

Xie Sen did some calculations and realized he was just an official resident, and there were four levels between him and the Five-star residents.

He might as well just tie himself to this territory.

“That’s why I’m advising you not to think about this for now,” Mu Ying said.

I really don’t understand why this guy refuses to lease and wants to buy everything directly.

Although Xie Sen knew he couldn’t afford it for now, he hadn’t given up on his goal.

He was going to start saving money and accruing contributions.

In the end, he didn’t forget to remind her, “If you need any help, just call me.

I’ll do it for contributions!”

Mu Ying: “...”

After all that, he still hadn’t given up.

Well, a person who can build a large house on his own in the wilderness certainly has extraordinary perseverance.

After treating him to a meal, Mu Ying then took him on a brief tour of the territory and various sub-camps, and then delivered him and his vegetables to his doorstep, throwing in some crude furniture like tables, chairs, and benches she had made while practicing the Shaping Wood Skill.

Then Mu Ying was ready to take her leave, “That’s the end of your welcome service, go and enjoy yourself!”

“I can sense your perfunctory attitude.

Who else would dupe someone into coming here and then do a complete one-eighty in their demeanor?

I need to reconsider whether to stay here!” Xie Sen huffed.

Mu Ying chuckled, “Once a house is sold, there are no returns, mind you!”

Xie Sen: “..., Go away, go away, go away!”

“Alrighty,” Mu Ying yawned and disappeared in a flash.

Xie Sen clenched his fists.

Everything about this territory was good, except that the Lord just isn’t humane.

Forget it, he’ll let it slide considering she hadn’t been home for two months.

Mu Ying was truly exhausted.

Surviving in the wilderness for two months without ever letting down her guard, engaging in intense and frequent hand-to-hand combat, she hadn’t slept a single peaceful night.

She hadn’t felt it before, but as soon as she returned to the territory, the sense of security immediately made her feel the exhaustion of the past two months.

She had barely managed to get Xie Sen settled.

They were relatively familiar now, which is why she joked like that.

For now, let her collapse in the middle of the lake for a couple of days.

Maybe she could even practice the turtle form transformation, as the life principle of turtles is that life is about stillness after all!
