Chapter 195 - 195 192 The Obsession with Buying a House195: Chapter 192: The Obsession with Buying a House 195: Chapter 192: The Obsession with Buying a House “Well, I’ve got it; I won’t keep you any longer.

I’m off to be busy!”

Mu Ying said in a hurry, grabbing Xie Sen and teleporting him to her own room with a transmission.

“Phew~” At last, there was quiet around her ears, and she took a long breath of relief.

“Ha ha!” Xie Sen burst into laughter for the first time seeing her embarrassed look.

Fool: “gehe~”

Mu Ying felt even the Fool was laughing at her and said with annoyance, “Humph, if you hadn’t taken me in last night, I definitely would have run away on my own just now.”

“Hahaha!”

Mu Ying couldn’t be bothered with him and flicked a flame into the fireplace to light the kindling.

“Find a place to sit yourself.”

She started boiling water, then took out a plate of candied fruit from the Half-Breed’s and the jerky snacks she made herself and brought them to him.

Xie Sen sat down on the cushion in front of the fireplace, with the Fool in his arms, “Is this your home?

It’s quite warm and comfortable!”

“That it is!” Mu Ying also sat down cross-legged and handed him a wooden sign, “This is your Identity Card, I’m giving it directly to you, so you don’t have to be gawked at in the Sky Square.

Are you planning to rent a Tree House or stay in a hotel?”

“How much for a Tree House?” Xie Sen weighed the wooden sign in his hand.

Upon hearing that, Mu Ying sat up straight.

Does this mean he’s thinking of settling down?

A major customer!

“Ahem, it’s 30 silver per square meter.

A basic 20-square-meter Tree House can be bought for 6 Gold Coins, but if you want to expand it later, you have to pay extra according to the area.

Like my house, ignoring the space for the Wolf Pack, it’s really just 60 square meters, and you can buy one for 18 Gold Coins.

How does that sound?

You own it for life!”

The price was not cheap compared to the camp, but purchasing rights at the camp needed Star-level residents, plus contributions to the territory, which were actually hidden costs.

Moreover, the camp was selling only management rights, and one would still have to pay taxes on any earnings.

“That’s too pricey.

Can it be any cheaper?” Xie Sen really wanted to buy, but it still hurt a bit.

“Can’t do that, this is income for the territory; I can’t make exceptions.

If you buy a house and can’t afford food, I can offer some friendly support with some vegetables I grow myself,” said Mu Ying mercilessly.

“If it pains you, you can rent first.

It’s not much different from buying, actually.”

“I won’t.

I want to buy.

21 Gold Coins for a 70-square-meter one, bigger than yours,” Xie Sen snorted, Who’s he looking down on!

He, Xie Sen, must have his own house wherever he is.

He’d rather buy than rent!

Mu Ying quickly took the money and gave him a big thumbs up, “Impressive, I’ll arrange it right away!”

Xie Sen: His little stash of cash!

The treasures of the Jackal Wolfman boss and his hard-earned little stash of cash have all been handed over to the pouch of this Pixiu!

(╥_╥)

He also added, “You can’t go back on your word about the vegetables!”

“I won’t go back on it, I won’t.

Tomorrow I’ll take you to pick them, you can choose whatever you like,” Mu Ying declared generously.

It seemed there weren’t enough Tree Houses for the territory; Mu Ying opened the territory interface.

[Residents: 6756]

The number had gone up by seventeen hundred in two months, indeed there were now not enough, even a bit cramped.

The stock of energy added before leaving was also running low.

In these past few months, the territory had saved a large sum of money.

There was also the 100 Gold contribution from the Half-Breeds purchasing campgrounds, and the establishment of a Transmission Array with Lingtian Town had only cost 50 Gold.

She turned the newly received, still unwarm, Gold Coins into energy with a flip of her hand.

Then she built another 500 Tree Houses.

This was rather cheap, just a few Gold Coins in all.

The rest of the money was all used to expand the territory.

The territory expanded directly by 10 hectares, with a large Territory Gate opening on each side.

The one on the east fell directly on the mountainside of the mountain at the original entrance of the Forest Park, joining up with the stone road, only a hundred meters from the forest entrance.

The new Tree Houses were scattered within the territory, not crowded at all.

Next to Sky Square, she had also built a new Tree House and then expanded it a bit to create a Territory Reception Center, which she temporarily sealed off.

Later, when she purchased furniture and finished the interior, it could be used to receive some unfamiliar guests from afar.

But this could be done at a leisurely pace, as there was no immediate need for it now.

With the territory expanding so broadly this time, it wasn’t long before almost everyone realized Mu Ying had returned.

Some people went hunting in the forest, left through the main gate, and walked for ten minutes only to find themselves reencircled by the Territory Shield.

Others finished their work at the planting camp in the morning and found themselves within the territory boundaries halfway through the mountain road on their way back.

A good number of people who had saved up a tidy sum over this period eagerly went to pick out new Tree Houses for rent.

Then they discovered that on all of the Tree Houses, the signs specifying the rent now had an additional line of text.

[Sale Price: 30 silver coins/sq.m.

(available for purchase by official residents)]

Instantly, a higher goal emerged, as who wouldn’t want to own their own house!

Even though the price was steep and required official resident status, weren’t things getting better and better?

With diligent effort, one day it would surely be affordable.

Suddenly, a wave of striving to save money swept through the territory.

Mu Ying didn’t take more than a few minutes to get these things in order, “Alright, let’s go pick out a Tree House, and I’ll show you around the territory as well.”

She then took Xie Sen out, heading across Moon Lake, feeling that the Tree Houses in the newly expanded area had the best views and positions.

They were not far from Moon Lake and also close to the territory’s main gate to the north.

Passing by Moon Lake, they encountered Aqing, who was with her little pups.

“Aqing, are these yours and Da Hui’s cubs?” Mu Ying scooped up one to stroke.

Born as Sky Wolves, they seemed much more robust than Xiao Hui and the others when they were newly born.

“Awooo~” Aqing nuzzled her leg.

Mu Ying conjured a Water Ball, infusing it with spring water, and fed it to them.

The pups, who were initially a bit shy around her, instantly warmed up to her, vying with each other to climb onto her and lick her palms.

“Haha, not like this, I’ve got things to do.

I’ll play with you later,” Mu Ying said as she pulled each one off, finding it hard to let go, the pups whining irresistibly.

Xie Sen watched with great envy, how he wanted to touch them!

Aqing hadn’t seen Mu Ying for quite a while and missed her a lot.

Since she was out walking the pups anyway, she too followed behind, but didn’t let the Wolf Pups disturb her.

Xie Sen looked back several times, “So, these are the Sky Wolves you talked about?”

Mu Ying nodded, proudly saying, “Aren’t they cute!”

Xie Sen nodded vigorously, finding them so cute that he could barely continue walking, “Awooo!”

Fool pecked him, prompting Xie Sen to let out a wolfs’ howl.

The Wolf Pups tilted their heads and let out a collective “awoo.”

Then Xie Sen, as if he had found some fun new toy, completely stopped making human noises and started howling non-stop with the pups.

Mu Ying and Aqing silently quickened their pace in sync.

“You also think it’s embarrassing, right?”

“Awoo!” Aqing couldn’t agree more.

Believe it or not, his howling was quite convincing, and the Wolf Pups actually began treating him as one of their own.
