I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 184 - 184 183 A Wolf’s Journey184: Chapter 183: A Wolf’s Journey 184: Chapter 183: A Wolf’s Journey After that, Mu Ying officially embarked on her journey north.

A robust White Wolf was sprinting through the wilderness, with a small black and white Fur Ball lying on its back.

The White Wolf’s emerald eyes swept over the surrounding plants and quickly found a target: a small oak tree as thick as a wrist.

She circled the oak tree twice.

The tree’s natural power was low, showing signs of withering, so she touched its roots with her paw, infusing a small cluster of Recovery Spring into the soil.

Having gained the experience, the White Wolf gently patted the small tree and continued sprinting.

“Rustle rustle~”

While on the move, the White Wolf heard a rustling in the bushes.

She immediately stopped to listen closely and then stealthily followed the sound.

It was Jumping Rabbits, a whole bunch!

The White Wolf picked out one with glossy fur and pounced, and with one swipe of her paw, a patch of snowy white fur fell off.

She quickly moved on to the next one, instantly splitting it, and this time a chunk of hind leg meat fell off.

The Jumping Rabbits panicked, all starting to hop around, trying to kick the White Wolf.

However, the White Wolf’s movements were exceptionally agile, darting left and right, even causing the Jumping Rabbits to accidentally hurt each other several times.

Too difficult to handle, the Jumping Rabbits gave up on this still lush grassland and hopped away, leaving behind piles of fur and hind leg meat, but not a single rabbit was injured.

The White Wolf didn’t bother with the fleeing Jumping Rabbits, slowly gathering all the fur and fresh meat into her Storage Pouch.

She had long coveted the fur of the Jumping Rabbits, but sadly, there were only two large ones in her territory, and the small ones were too small to withstand even one pluck.

Now, this fur would be enough to make some blankets to keep her cozy through the winter and feast to her heart’s content.

“Roar!” Move away!

A group of hyenas, attracted by the blood scent on the rabbit meat, approached cautiously at the edge.

The White Wolf roared angrily, revealing her claws.

The hyenas, intimidated by her fierceness, backed away a few steps, but soon crept forward again.

They nibbled at one of the White Wolf’s spoils, and she flashed her claws at them.

She lunged, biting one hyena by the neck and tossing it several steps away.

Then she immediately went after another.

The hyenas, unsuccessful in their attempt, fled with their tails between their legs.

By the time the White Wolf had gathered all the fur and most of the fresh meat, a roar came from within the woods.

The fur on the White Wolf bristled, and the sound made her sense danger.

She left the remaining meat behind and quickly ran away from the source of the noise.

[Your understanding of the Wild Form – White Wolf has deepened, gaining Professional Experience×5, White Wolf Form Agility+1]

The White Wolf (Mu Ying) was stunned.

These two messages that popped up in a moment made her realize for the first time that getting familiar with and understanding Wild Form could also earn Professional Experience.

Moreover, the body attributes of the Wild Form could grow.

Gaining two attribute points at once was rare, even if it was only in the wolf form state.

For a Druid, the Wild Form was like a second life, with body attributes, abilities, and health bars all independent of the human form.

She, who only knew to gain Professional Experience by taking care of plants, felt like she had suddenly discovered an undeveloped virgin land.

It was truly a delightful surprise for the wolf.

The skill of Wild Transformation may be as important to Druids as natural sense, with the latter instilling in Druids a cherish for plants and the former providing Druids an understanding of animals.

Once again, she felt her understanding of nature was too limited.

The natural power within animals is not as rich as in plants, but they are still crucial children of nature, whose significance can’t be overlooked.

Thinking carefully, she realized that this tip had appeared after she had acted like a wild beast, first when she protected her food in front of a hyena and second when she sensed a formidable enemy and chose to flee immediately.

Feeling she hadn’t learned enough about the skill of Wild Transformation, she decided to stay in animal form as much as possible during her journey north, to better experience the world of wild beasts.

The White Wolf skirted the area of the roar and continued northward.

Luckily, she encountered human traces and followed them to find a human campsite where, after paying, she lay down in the plaza for a night, her consciousness sinking into the Trial World and using up the accumulated trial time of the past few days.

Before dawn the next day, she set off on her journey again.

A White Wolf that paid to enter territory and carried a panda, any forum-browsing player would know who she was.

The interest in Zhou Hongfei’s death had not subsided and strangers mostly feared her; seeing her maintain wolf form, no one approached to strike up a conversation, nor dared to seek her tracks or follow her, especially since the last player who did that had met a grisly end.

The next day, she took care of many plants along the way, garnered some plant seeds she didn’t yet have, and a few mutant plant seeds that interested her, increasing her Professional Experience slightly.

If she encountered a wild beast she could beat, she would fight and pluck some fur for the winter; if not, she fled.

That day, she did not find a campsite and had to spend the night in the wild.

Unable to find even a cave for shelter, she simply chose a tree and rested beneath it.

She dared not sleep soundly on such nights, keeping alert to the surroundings.

It rained on the third day, the White Wolf running through the rain, no longer in the mood to playfully provoke animals, focusing mainly on traveling.

Before evening, she began looking for a place to settle down.

Luckily, she found a dry cave, but a young black bear was already inside.

The White Wolf fought it, chased it away, and successfully claimed ownership of the cave.

That night, a group of Red Hats chose this cave too.

A bit larger than Gem Fairies, wearing red hats, with a mature look resembling that of goblins.

Each wielded a knife barely thicker than a toothpick as they jumped up and down on the White Wolf.

This also triggered her Natural Protection effect.

She then realized, these little beings were also spiritual creatures.

But they did not seem friendly.

The Red Hats were small but their combat skills were not weak, and the repeated knife stabbing was very painful, tinging several spots of her fur red.

She very much wanted to revert to human form, use Biological Recognition to check the specific details of these Red Hats, and then defeat them.

But she resisted.

She was now a wolf.

Her Wild Form cultivation could not be interrupted.

She simply etched these small, ferocious creatures into her memory, surrendered the cave, and fled dejectedly.

The rain washed the blood from her body, but her wounds stung intensely.

It was her first time being injured with no immediate way to heal, forced to endure the pain as she walked alone through the rainy night.

How bitterly sad it was.
