I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 174 - 174 173 Iron Mining Camp174: Chapter 173: Iron Mining Camp 174: Chapter 173: Iron Mining Camp Wu Qingshan made a realization, “So you actually opened another Iron Mining Camp.

Why didn’t I see it?”

The players from Qingshan Territory nodded in agreement, “Yes, yes, Lord, when will the Iron Mining Camp recruit workers?

Working in the deep sea sounds awesome!”

“Uh,” Sister Mu Ying scratched her head and gave an embarrassed smile, “I forgot about that.

I’ll go set it up right away!”

After speaking, she fled in panic, took a few steps, and then remembered she could teleport, and whoosh, she was gone.

“Hey!

Lord, where is that Fishman Replica?

We want to camp there for a couple of days!”

“Haha, it’s rare to see the Lord being so naïve and cute, still such a child!”

“Let’s go, let’s go, hurry to the Sky Square.

The notice board will definitely show it first!”

“Going together, going together!”

Just heard the news, Professor Su who came to talk to Mu Ying sighed, “Never mind, I’ll just wait at the Quarry Camp instead, in case she can’t find me.”

Mu Ying crouched in her own plantation, sulking, “There goes my image as a lord!”

She couldn’t keep the local people waiting too long and teleported to the Quarry Camp, where she immediately saw Professor Su waiting at her doorstep.

Mu Ying chuckled dryly, “Professor Su, sorry, I got distracted.”

“No hurry, the mines aren’t going anywhere,” Professor Su waved his hand reassuringly, “Come, this is the mining plan, shall we go to the site and check it out?”

Mu Ying nodded, and she teleported with Professor Su to the Iron Mining Camp.

Following Professor Su’s plan, they set up the mine entrance, the outside rest area, and the ore stacking area.

The process was very fast.

She just had to tap a few times on the territory panel.

“You’ve been very helpful.

From now on, you’ll oversee all the mining camps.

I’ll have your two apprentices take care of the specifics.

I’ll improve their treatment, and then you’ll need to cultivate more talent.

I’ll gradually locate the mining spots marked on the map, and we’ll need someone to manage those,” Mu Ying said.

Among those who had submitted resumes for managerial positions at the Quarry Camp, there were quite a few with relevant studies or similar professional backgrounds, though not as expert as Professor Su.

With some training, they could also manage the specific work arrangements of a mining camp.

Professor Su was getting on in years, and Mu Ying preferred him to oversee the broader directives, just like Professor Du, leaving the specifics to others.

Smiling at her words, Professor Su said, “I was just about to talk to you about this.

Rest assured, both Ah Shan and Ah Qiang have good skills and character, which I’ve observed and approve of!”

Mu Ying knew Ah Shan, one of the first few people from the mountain climbing club, Xu Shan, who had a reliable character.

She wasn’t very familiar with Ah Qiang but had seen his resume, remembering he was a miner who had worked in a mine for two years before the apocalypse, and according to Professor Su, was eager to learn and smart.

Mu Ying trusted Professor Su’s judgment.

Furthermore, she checked on the mines at all the camps from time to time to collect ore and could quickly spot any issues.

With that, the arrangements were decided on the spot.

Having entrusted these matters to Professor Su, Mu Ying teleported back to the plantation, where from a distance she set up the notice board for the Iron Mining Camp.

[Sub-camp Four: Iron Mining Camp Info]

[1.

The Iron Mining Sub-camp will open tomorrow, anticipating the need for several iron mining workers.

The number is unlimited.

For every 2 units of iron ore collected, you earn 1 copper coin.

More work, more pay.

Interested parties can find the person in charge Xu Shan at the Iron Mining Camp tomorrow.]

[2.

After the camp opens, a Transportation Array connecting the camp to the territory will be available, with a transmission fee: 1 copper coin per use (this camp is located in the deep sea and can only be reached via transmission.)]

In addition, Mu Ying updated the noticeboards for several other sub-camps, specifying each camp’s person in charge, and posted an announcement on the residents’ notice board about the position changes for Professor Su and the appointments of the managers of the quarry and iron mining camps.

“Here it comes!”

The players had been waiting in Sky Square early, and as soon as the notice board appeared, they spotted it immediately.

Those close to the bulletin board loudly read the text on it, while those further away listened quietly.

When they heard that the person in charge had already decided, the players felt both disappointed and envious, but there were no complaints.

It was no secret that Professor Su was teaching people, and it really wasn’t right to have such an old man run around like this.

When they heard that mining two units of iron ore earned one copper coin, a cheer erupted.

This concerned their direct interests.

For quarrying, it took five units to earn one copper coin!

This price was due to the greater difficulty in mining iron ore.

“Chirp chirp~”

A plump sparrow landed on Li Luoxia, who was standing at the edge of the square watching the commotion, and left a small note that read, “My home.”

“Mom, it’s Sister Mu Ying’s fat sparrow!” Li Xihe exclaimed.

Li Luoxia nodded, the bird wasn’t new to delivering messages, “She’s calling us to her house, let’s go!”

The members of the Luoxia Team walked out, and as they passed by the inn, they unexpectedly saw Zhou Hongfei’s guards loading things into a carriage, with Zhou Hongfei standing beside it, his face stern.

“Oh, Lord Zhou, are you leaving?” Li Luoxia asked curiously.

Zhou Hongfei glanced at her and said nothing, but the hatred in his eyes was clear enough for even Li Xihe, a child, to see.

Upon hearing the knock, Mu Ying welcomed them inside, “Sorry, it was too embarrassing earlier.

I ran away before I got to talk to you.”

“Haha, I would’ve hidden too,” Li Luoxia laughed heartily.

Mu Ying sighed, “I’m cooking right now.

We’ll eat here tonight.

After dinner, I’ll take you to the Iron Mining Camp, so you won’t have to crowd with others tomorrow.”

“That’s great,” Li Luoxia and the others took their seats.

The house was small, and most of the kitchen items had been moved to the plantation, leaving only a simple stove and kitchenware, which was very close to the dining table.

Mu Ying cooked while chatting with them.

“I forgot to tell you, Zhou Hongfei came to see me this afternoon.

He wanted to move the Transmission Array to Luoxia Camp and complained about you neglecting him.

I snapped back at him, pierced through his intentions, and he stormed off in anger.

It seems he was packing to leave just now; he’s not pretending to be a gentle and charming man anymore, pulling a long face, probably hating us now,” Li Luoxia rested her head on her hands as she spoke.

“I think he might be up to no good.

He’s used to throwing his weight around as a lord in his own camp, and he definitely can’t swallow this defeat,” Wu Qingshan also spoke.

Even Li Xihe added, “That uncle’s gaze was really scary!”

Mu Ying frowned, “He better not step out of line in front of me!”

She was not afraid of him!

Through learning this Magic Ring Upgrade Skill, Mu Ying had gained a profound understanding of the difficulties faced by mages.

This was just one skill; mages had to understand and learn all their spells on their own, and Zhou Hongfei did not seem like someone who would diligently study spells.

There were limits to how far a Long-distance Transmission Array could be built.

Qingshan Town was in a good location, accessible from several other main camps in the Xia Country Region.

The only options for Feihong Town’s array were Qingshan Town and Luoxia Village.

Lingtian Village was too far and unreachable, so it was uncertain what his plan was.
