I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 160 - 160 159 First Arrival at Luoxia Village160: Chapter 159: First Arrival at Luoxia Village 160: Chapter 159: First Arrival at Luoxia Village She had been flying for half the night before Mu Ying finally found a tree to land and rest on.

The next morning, she continued on her journey.

By this time, she was already very far from Qingshan Town.

“Do you see that?

Is there something flying in the sky?”

“It’s probably a bird.”

“It doesn’t have wings, it looks like a person.”

“It could still be a bird without wings.

Don’t let pre-apocalypse thinking limit you.

These days, anything could happen.”

“No, my vision is 5.0.

You, with your glasses, how could you see clearly?

It’s definitely a person.”

“After I upgraded, my vision was restored, okay?

It’s even better than before.

If we test it now, as a Forest Patrol, am I not better than you, a blind warrior?”

“Personal attacks are not allowed!”

“You started it!”

...

Mu Ying had anticipated that she might be seen when she decided to travel by day.

However, she was flying high and wore a tightly covering cloak, so people on the ground couldn’t make out her features.

It was her first time continuously flying on a flying broom this long.

Although the Wind-Proof Magic kept her face from getting stiff, her forward-leaning riding posture still caused her waist to ache after a while.

The broom’s invisible seat cushion wasn’t hard, but after flying for several hours, her buttocks also stiffened.

When it rains, it pours, and ahead, the sky was packed with dark clouds, and it was raining.

The rainfall seemed mild, with no traces of thunder and lightning.

Thinking she wasn’t far from her destination, Mu Ying grit her teeth, found a place to land, applied Waterproof Magic to herself, and then continued on her journey.

The discomfort of her hurried journey only intensified her disdain for Zhou Hongfei, the Lord of Feihong Town.

Originally, her plan had been to combine the journey to other territories with training, stopping at other camps along the way to learn the news and check conditions.

Now all that was ruined.

Poor Gungun could only stay bored in the bag, soundly sleeping with none of the joys of traveling.

Finally, she crossed the rain area and entered the Western Plateau, where Luoxia Village was located.

The temperature here was somewhat low.

Mu Ying changed into the winter attire of the Witch Academy.

Before the apocalypse, the Western Plateau was severely desertified, with ravines crisscrossing among mountains, basins, and faults, presenting major geographical undulations and dry and cold climate with sparse vegetation.

But now, if it weren’t for the crisscrossing ravines, looking at the grasslands lush in the cold air, she might have thought she had strayed onto the grasslands.

It seems that the recent rain brought vitality to the land of the Western Plateau.

The places once covered with barren yellow soil now looked so beautiful, teeming with life.

The combination of the green grasslands and the undulating ravines created a unique beauty, and the setting sun cast a golden glow over the land.

Such a vast yet gentle beauty alleviated much of the fatigue from Mu Ying’s journey.

Mu Ying could now see Luoxia Mountain.

It was the highest mountain on the Western Plateau, perennially covered in snow above its waistline, the source of the Golden Sand River, with the most fertile Luoxia Valley below it.

Luoxia Village was located there.

Mu Ying landed from afar on the backside of a mountain, changed the color and style of her entire outfit, let down her tied-up hair, strapped the Green Wood Longbow on her back, inserted two swords at her waist, and took out a bundle for cover, making sure no one could associate her with the person who had been flying in the sky.

After completing these preparations, Mu Ying followed the winding stream towards Luoxia Mountain.

A small stream that could be crossed with a single step swelled into a majestic river once it passed down from the Western Plateau.

Here, the forests were sparse, providing a much better view than near Qingshan Town.

Even though it was already dark, Mu Ying’s Elf Bloodline allowed her to see in the darkness.

She invoked the Divine Movement Technique, staying far away from the wild beasts that dwelled nearby, and ran towards the bottom of Luoxia Valley with the greatest speed.

The bottom of Luoxia Valley resembled a large gourd perched atop Luoxia Mountain, with a gaping opening at its base.

Nestled close to Luoxia Mountain, the snowmelt formed a stream that flowed down from the mouth of the gourd, rushing through two circular valleys—one small and one large—before exiting through the broken base of the gourd.

The main camp of Luoxia Village was situated in the larger valley.

After passing through a narrow crevice, the view suddenly opened up.

It was an exceptionally spacious valley, filled with vast grasslands, and on the left side was a brightly lit village.

Dome-shaped stone houses were scattered about, each with a lamp hanging by the door, twinkling like stars, which was quite charming.

There was moss on the stone wall of the village, but Mu Ying immediately recognized that it was the physical manifestation of the Territory Shield.

To the right of the pasture were several acres of farmland, with cattle and sheep housed in wooden pens by the stream, and further in, there was a dense pine forest.

It bore a completely different style from Qingshan Town, exuding a sense of simple, tranquil good times.

As Mu Ying approached Luoxia Village, she noticed a stone stele at the entrance with “Luoxia Village” engraved in large characters, alongside a smaller stele.

[Luoxia Village Rules]

[1.

Entrance fee: 5 copper coins/day]

[2.

No fighting of any form is allowed in the territory]

[3.

Locals who rent for ≥30 days can apply for land cultivation permits, stone house room rent 20 copper coins/day]

The rent here was frighteningly expensive.

However, the farmland and houses here were bundled together, so no extra money was needed.

Although the farmland had no protection, the terrain in the valley was flat with good visibility, so any dangers could be quickly spotted.

Moreover, from her observation, the area was safe as apart from the herded cattle and sheep, there were no other wild animals, possibly due to previous clearing.

The entrance fee was lower than at the No Master Camp, indeed an attractive point, but the rent for the stone houses was too expensive; not many could afford such rent long-term, which explained why there were few farms there and why a large area of land remained vacant.

Mu Ying paid the entrance fee and went inside.

Luoxia Village was also circular in shape, with its dome-shaped stone houses arranged in concentric circles.

Right next to the path into the village were vacant stone houses.

Mu Ying did not rush inside.

She had looked up information about Luoxia Village on the forum.

Luoxia Village was the slowest upgrading territory in the Xia Country Region, having only recently been upgraded to a village.

Initially, the Luoxia Camp covered roughly the central area of the village.

Inside, seventy percent of the area was Lord Li Luoxia’s private manor, enclosed by stone walls, inaccessible to outsiders.

The outer thirty percent of the circular area was open to the public, encircling the dome-shaped stone homes and shops that surrounded Li Luoxia’s private manor.

Most of the stone houses outside the shops were allotted to Li Luoxia’s teammates for free living, with only a few available for outsiders to rent.

That is to say, the entire territory’s income came solely from the entrance fee, and most who came could only take advantage of the protective shield without having a place to stay.

Mu Ying had calculated that with Li Luoxia managing this way, after one territorial expansion and the construction of a few facilities, the remaining income from the territory.

This was also the reason for the slow development of Luoxia Camp.
