I Live on the Land in Global Games

With a cup of fruit tea in hand, Mu Ying sat down at the table and asked, “I heard from Boss Jiu San that all of you Half-Breeds are particularly diligent and hardworking, love life, and don’t mind living alongside other Races.

What do you think of Qingshan Town?”

“Elf territory, of course it’s good,” the female Half-Breed named Luofu winked at her.

Did she recognize her as an Elf?

Well, her features were quite distinct, and it was only because the players hadn’t seen an Elf before that they couldn’t recognize her.

These outsiders surely knew more than the players and recognizing her was normal.

Mu Ying figured it out in a moment and said with a smile, “I think instead of you travelling such a long distance to the territory, why not build a Sub-camp outside your instance?

That way, you can be directly transported here and the entrance to the instance can be well protected.

But you’ll inevitably be subject to the rules of the territory.”

This had always been her plan, not only to have these few Half-Breeds but also those trapped in the instance.

Only this time, she already had the ability to construct a Sub-camp and didn’t need to carry the instance core around for relocation.

However, she still needed to get their consent to attach the instance core to her territory, so that the people inside the instance could be counted as residents of her territory.

“Sub-camp?” The Half-Breeds were not unfamiliar with the term.

They had heard yesterday of the Quarry Camp, Iron Mining Camp, Planting Camp, and Breeding Camp, which all seemed very enriching.

Not to mention anything else, the mere fact of transportation had them somewhat tempted.

It would mean they wouldn’t have to carry so much stuff on the road.

But they couldn’t make the decision, only saying with regret, “We are just juniors in our tribe, and such a big matter probably isn’t ours to decide.

Could you perhaps come to the instance with us to speak with the Clan Leader?”

Why would Mu Ying disagree?

The Half-Breeds sent Luo Ke and Luofu to accompany Mu Ying on her trip.

Mu Ying thought that although the Half-Breed instance wasn’t too far away, walking there would take a whole day, which was a waste of time, so she took them to the Breeding Camp.

Having not seen her for a long time, the moment she arrived at the rabbit enclosure, she was surrounded by rabbits of all sizes.

The feeling of being enveloped by fluffy creatures was unbelievably wonderful, but with official business to attend to, she had to reluctantly part with them and said to Zheng Jing, “I need to borrow these two big ones for a bit.”

Leading the two big Jumping Rabbits out, she said, “Let’s ride the rabbits there.

They might be a bit bumpy, but they’re faster than us on foot.”

“Oh wow, I’ve never seen Jumping Rabbits used as mounts before,” Luofu happily stroked the rabbit fur, very excited.

Mu Ying handed a rein to each of them, “Since there are only two adult rabbits, it’s just for you two to ride.

I’m a Druid, so I can use Wolf Form, which isn’t slower than a Jumping Rabbit.”

After Mu Ying taught them the commands to control the Jumping Rabbits, she shifted into a wolf with a single move.

Then the group was transported to the territory, officially setting off.

“Ah!” With a high leap from the Jumping Rabbit, Luofu screamed in fright.

Mu Ying’s conscience hurt for a second—riding on Jumping Rabbits really wasn’t comfortable, it was more like being on a drop tower ride.

That’s why the Jumping Rabbit mount business was so-so, though their recreational services did quite well.

Was it a bit too much to deceive newcomers into riding Jumping Rabbits at their first meeting?

Mu Ying’s wolf eyes shifted—should be fine, right?

“Ah!

Haha!

This is so thrilling!” Luofu’s screams continued, but they seemed to be screams of excitement rather than fear.

Good, no problem.

One person was extremely calm, sitting steadily on the rabbit’s back without saying a word, while the other was enjoying the ride.

A wolf led two rabbits through the mountain forest at high speed, covering the distance of a day’s journey in just a few hours.

“Ugh~” Luo Ke, who had been unusually composed along the way, tumbled off the Jumping Rabbit and immediately knelt on the ground and vomited a few times.

“Oh dear, Luo Ke, you’re really not cut out for this,” Luofu chuckled with affection as she stroked the Jumping Rabbit’s fur.

“Ugh~”

Mu Ying reverted to her human form and cast the Healing Truth on Luo Ke to give him some relief.

She truly hadn’t expected that Luo Ke’s composed demeanor was actually due to being frightened stiff.

It really was her fault.

Going alone into another’s territory, Mu Ying felt somewhat worried.

Although it was very likely that the Half-Breed wouldn’t harbor any ill intentions towards her, she still cast the Tree Skin Skill on herself and followed closely behind Luo Ke and Luofu.

If anything went awry, she would have a hostage at hand.

Fortunately, things didn’t go south.

The Half-Breed tribe resembled an ordinary Human Clan village, except it seemed they weren’t adept at farming.

Despite clearly having flat and fertile land in the instance, it remained uncultivated.

“Don’t worry, our relationship with the Elves is quite good.

As long as you show off those ears, you’ll definitely be welcomed,” Luofu said, noticing Mu Ying’s worry and thoughtfully reminding her.

Indeed, once they entered the village, the Half-Breeds just looked at her with curiosity, showing no malice.

Only the Half-Breed children as tall as her shins came running over to her in groups of threes and fives.

“Are you an Elf?”

“You’re really tall and big!”

“You’re so pretty, I like you!”

“This is my favorite fruit, for you!”

Facing these little tykes, each of them looking up at her with shining eyes, Mu Ying couldn’t help but melt.

She squatted down slightly and extended her Magic Claw, patting each head, “Thank you for your affection.

Sister will treat you to some tasty treats.”

She took out a few bags of fried potato chips from her Storage Pouch.

“These are snacks I made myself, for you guys.”

Luofu sniffed, “That smells so good.”

Luo Ke also quietly swallowed his saliva.

Luckily, Mu Ying had plenty of stock and gave each of them a bag.

Thus, the journey was accompanied by the crisp sound of munching.

Mu Ying initially felt this was a bit informal for a formal cooperation meeting.

However, not only were Luofu and Luo Ke enjoying the treats, but several Half-Breed children who had received snacks were hopping and skipping behind them, eating as they went.

With so many potato chips in Mu Ying’s Storage Pouch, obviously because she liked them herself, when everyone around her started crunching, she could no longer keep her composure and followed the local customs.

What was supposed to be a serious discussion about cooperation turned into a stroll through the streets while eating snacks, which was a bit exasperating.

Some Half-Breeds, seeing their enjoyment, even brought out food from their homes to exchange with her, suggesting after tasting them that it would be a shame not to open a snack shop with these recipes, as it was sure to make money.

Are these the shrewd business-minded Half-Breeds?

She hadn’t considered opening a snack shop before, but it wasn’t out of the question.

She didn’t have time to make and sell them herself, but these Half-Breeds who had spotted the business opportunity could.

She made a note of this in her mind.

Before long, a “craze” for potato chips swept through the Half-Breed tribe.

This was something that Mu Ying, the instigator, had not anticipated.

She hadn’t even met the Half-Breed Clan Leader yet, but had already opened up a market with potato chips.
