I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 177 - 177 176 Half-Breed Visit177: Chapter 176 Half-Breed Visit 177: Chapter 176 Half-Breed Visit Mu Ying was spending the night at Spirit Dragon Gorge Camp, feeling extremely excited about the upcoming journey which made her somewhat sleepless, so she decided to check out the forum to see the latest news about the territory.

Last time, she had forgotten about the Iron Mining Camp incident and often couldn’t find anyone, even if Professor Su wanted to remind her, it was impossible.

After that incident, she learned her lesson.

She started a thread named after Qingshan Town.

There weren’t dozens, but rather hundreds of threads named after Qingshan Town, and among the few hottest ones, there were a large number of impersonators posing as players from Qingshan Town, and the information inside was hard to discern.

The thread Mu Ying started was not unusual, its name was not unique, and it barely had any content, the people following this thread were just a handful of cats, all players from the territory that Mu Ying had specifically chosen and could trust.

Liu Luoluo, Zheng Jing, Professor Su and his wife, Huo Shaobai, and even Old Mao were among them.

They would all post with their own signatures, making it easier to recognize, and they didn’t post often.

Even if a passerby accidentally clicked in, they would feel it was quiet and lack the interest to stay, but only people from Qingshan Town could spot the few but very accurate messages within this thread.

That way, if anything important happened in the territory, she could stay updated and it also served as a way to reach her.

Originally, Mu Ying just routinely clicked to check, but unexpectedly, there really was an important matter.

It was probably posted not long after she set off; amid the mess of garbled codes, Mu Ying deciphered a few words, “Half-Breed visitor.”

These words made Mu Ying sit up, “Half-Breed?”

It had been quite some time, and she almost forgot about it— it was that Half-Breed Replica midway to Chunan Camp.

Several months had passed, and she thought that Half-Breeds had no intention of interacting with humans, so she had completely pushed the matter to the back of her mind, only for it to come up again now.

No way, she had to go back and see, after all, it was a replica!

“Gungun, we need to make a trip back,” Mu Ying patted Gungun.

It had reverted to its normal size, a big mass, curled up in the tent like a large furball.

Gungun, groggy with sleep, showed no desire to move.

Mu Ying mercilessly executed the fur-rubbing tactic, and Gungun, feeling utterly bleak, shrank itself down.

Mu Ying, satisfied, tucked him into her pouch, packed up the tent, and left the camp.

She flew back to the plantation camp, then teleported into her own tree house.

By then, she was truly tired and fell asleep shortly after lying down.

The next day, early in the morning, she left her house to look for people at the inn.

“What are you doing here?

Yesterday I heard at the tavern that you went wandering off alone again,” Jiu San asked in surprise.

Mu Ying touched her forehead, “You’re picking up learning quite well, huh?

Learned the new slang from the players that quickly?”

Jiu San, quite pleased with himself, said, “Thanks for the compliments, thanks for the compliments.”

Mu Ying couldn’t bear to look and hurriedly said what mattered, “I heard that a Half-Breed has come to the territory?

You stayed here last night, right?

Where are they?”

“Oh, them?

They went out to earn some money, heard they’re heading to the trading hall to set up a stall to check out the market here,” Jiu San remarked, curling his lip.

“Why do I feel like you’re not too welcoming towards them?

Aren’t they your customers too?” Mu Ying was quite surprised; Jiu San had inherited the greedy attributes from Copper Coin Trading Company, and he was extremely welcoming to any paying customers.

“Sigh, I have to say, Half-Breeds make very good partners, friends, even employees.

They always live so diligently and energetically, it’s refreshing to watch, but not when they’re your competitors.”

Jiu San frowned miserably, “They are united internally and are very good at socializing.

Most race settlements have a presence of Half-Breeds, and they are usually the wealthier bunch.

They even surveyed my inn yesterday.

Guess whether I should be happy or not, my exclusive business monopoly is probably going to be ruined.”

“Really?

So, they all have quite a knack for trading, huh?

And they’re thinking about opening a shop in our town?” Mu Ying was quite surprised.

“Could you please consider my feelings?

I know you’re happy, but don’t stab my heart like this,” Jiu San said with a hurt expression.

Mu Ying left the inn with a cheerful face, thinking of a brilliant plan.

Once she reached the trading hall, she indeed saw a group of short-statured people standing in front of three adjacent stalls.

The players coming to the trading hall couldn’t help but take extra glances at them, making the stalls quite popular.

Mu Ying also went over to take a look.

The variety of goods for sale was surprisingly abundant, including processed leather, neatly sliced jerky, prepared dried fruits and preserves, and even some handicrafts like wood and stone carvings.

Some items sold well, some were hard to sell, but there were plenty of players watching the excitement.

Overall, the business was not bad.

Half-Breed Luo Ke was the first to notice a girl with emerald green hair and jade-colored eyes amongst a group of black-haired, black-eyed humans.

He tugged at the back of a fellow Race member, “It’s her.”

The other Half-Breeds immediately understood his meaning.

Originally, it was Luo Ke and his sister who had brought back the news about this human territory, and the person he referred to was the Lord of this place.

However, they had heard the news last night that the Lord had left the territory and would not return for a long time.

How had she appeared in the territory again?

When Mu Ying saw the Half-Breeds looking her way, and recognized a familiar face among them, she knew they had recognized her and boldly approached them to talk, “Hello, I am Mu Ying, the Lord of Qingshan Town.

Do you have time to chat?”

“It would be an honor,” the Half-Breeds said as they enabled the automatic selling feature of their stalls and all came out with Mu Ying.

“The Lord is still in the territory?

Was the news from Spirit Dragon Gorge last night false?”

“Probably.”

“Our Lord went off flirting again, hehe, wondering if she’ll bring back another instance?”

“Definitely, I think the Half-Breeds are pretty friendly, they might be willing!”

“Half-Breeds are just shorter, otherwise pretty similar to us, just with more singular Attributes.

Average Wanderers.”

...

Mu Ying led several people back to her Tree House, “My home is small, feel free to sit anywhere.”

“Your home is very cozy!” a female Half-Breed complimented, “I like this sofa!”

“Glad you like it.

If you hadn’t come, I wouldn’t have realized our territory was missing a reception,” Mu Ying said as she walked into the kitchen.

Shielded by the cabinet, she took out some stored fruit from the Storage Pouch.

“Haha, you must be joking!” a male Half-Breed said.

“Stop with the formalities, you all seem pretty young, no need for the honorifics, it feels awkward.

We Deep Blue Star people only use honorifics for the elderly,” Mu Ying remarked, impressed with these Half-Breeds.

They did not look down on her due to her age, were more polite than many humans, knew their limits, spoke freely, yet never seemed offensive.

“Have you had a good look around Qingshan Town?” Mu Ying took out some stored fruit, washed it, and asked.
