Chapter 1595: Number

”Sir!”

”Milfa. Thank you for coming here. I’m afraid that the situation is not so simple, so I have no choice but to ask you to accompany me here even though it means separating you from Dimitri.”

”...” Milfa’s eyebrows twitched. ”I’m going to leave if you’re going to talk about that.”

”Alright, alright. My bad.” Oscar sighed. ”So, what’s the situation?”

”We are still checking the numbers, but from the looks of it, there are at least 3 million demons attacking the Atracaeca Kingdom right now, not counting the group from the south.”

Oscar frowned. ”That’s a big number. Who has even seen a million demons, let alone a few million?”

”No one. However, it doesn’t matter.”

”Right? It’s true that the number of the demons is something that we can’t handle, but we have the help of the airships.

”Before coming here, the grand duke lent me five airships. It was to be used to protect the Atracaeca Kingdom.

”How many demons got taken down by the airship?”

”From the report, one airship could kill about 30,000 demons. It might not look like much, but if we could perform a joint operation with our squads, we might be able to kill 500,000 demons in one sweep.”

Oscar frowned. ”Still, it will require sacrifices. I have brought only five squads with me, so our strength is not enough. We have to coordinate with the people from the Atracaeca Kingdom.

”And we have to conserve our strength as much as possible to fight against the ancient demons.”

”That’s true.” Milfa nodded. ”Not a single report mentioned any ancient demons. In the first place, ancient demons are not common, so they might mistake them. At the same time, there’s no way they will bring only a few ancient demons.”

Oscar nodded with a serious expression.

”What will our battle plan be?” Milfa asked.

”First, we have to reduce the number of demons by using long-range attacks from the airships.

”Even though the demons are many, they are a bit concentrated, which makes it even more efficient if we want to hit them.

”We have brought plenty of demon crystals, and we will send our own people to gather the demon crystals from the dead demons.

”We have to first draw out the ancient demons and kill them before launching an all-out assault on the remaining demons. The biggest problem will be the demon king, but let’s just trust that couple.”

Milfa nodded. ”In that case, I will rally the airships first and hit them from the north.”

”There might be demons coming our way, so I will ask them to erect some defenses to intercept them. Tell our people to approach it carefully.

”One airship might determine the outcome, so make sure that none of them are harmed.”

Milfa agreed. It was true that human lives were important, but in the current situation, airships were much more important. A single airship could kill so many demons and rescue so many people, so even if they had to sacrifice themselves, they had to protect the airships.

”Understood. I will go immediately.” Milfa acknowledged the order and left the tent.

Oscar let out a long sigh. ”From the looks of it, there are about 3.5 million to 4 million demons attacking the Atracaeca Kingdom, 3 million of which are coming from the west. The rest came from the south, most likely trying to break through to the Zaecuria Kingdom and attack it from behind.

”The Zaecuria Kingdom has been struck from the sea, and their eastern region is completely crippled. If they are getting pinched from both sides in this situation, they won’t be able to hold on.

”They know that both the Atracaeca Kingdom and the Zaecuria Kingdom are the weakest links. Due to the geographic position, the Greenwood Kingdom is the safest.

”I have even heard that there is a hidden reinforcement in the north of their kingdom. I don’t know what that is, but it’s related to Noel Ardagan.

”So, this means the Greenwood Kingdom might have to send reinforcements soon.

”As for the Muivell Kingdom, it has almost everything. All the strength and soldiers are concentrated there. At the same time, they will most likely face the toughest strike.

”The demons should know that if the demon kings start killing us, Noel Ardagan and Anna Stargaze can do the same to their ancient demons. And at one point, they will have to clash.

”In that case, they must want to restrict the couple’s movements by not showing themselves right away. This way, the couple can’t make a move so as to conserve their stamina.”

Oscar looked at the map seriously. Due to the situation, he had mobilized all the captains he brought, so he could only look at the map alone. Then again, in this situation, he usually was the one who took care of all the planning.

Although it was lonely, it was a job that he had to handle.

...

There was one thing that Oscar didn’t expect. It was the scale of the Beast Kingdom and how seriously the demon kings considered them as a threat.

The council couldn’t help but get announcements from all directions.

”Sir, the demons are coming from the north! Their number is 500,000.”

”Emergency. Our scouts have spotted a large number of demons from the east. Their number is around 400,000.”

”Urgent report. 300,000 demons are coming from the west.”

”The demons that are supposed to attack the Muivell Kingdom and the Greenwood Kingdom have broken out and head toward our kingdom. We believe they numbered around 1,000,000.”

The six elders and the lion king couldn’t help but furrow their eyebrows. From the report alone, there were already more than 2 million demons surrounding the kingdom.

Old Ru’s expression turned solemn. ”It looks like they are planning to lock us here to prevent us from helping the human kingdoms. While it doesn’t really matter how bad the damage the human kingdom suffers, we need them to win this war.

”Get all the tribes ready. We will now commence our operation. Unlike what happened one thousand years ago, we will show the demons that our kingdom can’t be underestimated anymore.”
