Chapter 1592: Greenwood Kingdom

The news about the Zaecuria Kingdom spread almost immediately. Due to the rising tension, all kingdoms had placed their spies in each country, including Noel.

The Greenwood Kingdom, on the other hand, didnʼt even have to wait for the news to arrive, as they actually suffered the same fate as the Zaecuria Kingdom.

”Your Majesty. I bring urgent news from the southern front. A tsunami had hit our coast, and the water was manifested by demons. We havenʼt figured out the number of demons within the water, but the water has gone all the way to Rectavia.”

”!!!” All of them couldnʼt help but widen their eyes. The king, the three spirit transcendences and even the ministers simply couldnʼt believe what he was saying.

”Is that true?” The king stood up.

”Rectavia. Thatʼs quite far. Has the entire southwest region completely submerged?” A minister gasped.

”The demons truly brought a surprise.” Raincartʼs expression turned dark. ”It looks like the Zaecuria Kingdom is suffering more than us.”

Considering the stakes in this war, Raincart chose to return to the court, fully aware that further conflict was unnecessary. If they continued to have a conflict, they wouldnʼt have enough people or power to resist the demons.

The king looked at Raincart. Since they were allies for the time being, Raincartʼs analysis skill was definitely necessary.

Raincart noticed his gaze and continued, ”According to Grand Duke Ardagan, the sea is filled with strong demons. Itʼs not weird for them to invade the land. Just like a normal tsunami, it will definitely bring a lot of demons.

”This time, the tsunami must be man-made. Judging from the power alone, it will definitely require countless high-level demons, including multiple ancient demons.”

Those who heard his opinions sucked in a cold breath. They were aware of how dangerous an ancient demon was. If that were truly the case, they would have to launch a full assault to stop them.

However, Raincart hadnʼt finished his analysis. ”From the looks of it, this is just the beginning of this great demon war. We donʼt know how hard they hit us, but Iʼm sure itʼs worse in the Zaecuria Kingdom.

”Unfortunately, sending reinforcement might be quite hard, especially to other kingdoms.

”Hence, itʼs better to focus on us first before thinking about the others. Since itʼs only the southeast region, it looks like the number of demons coming to us is not as big as the Zaecuria Kingdom.

”There is a chance that there will be another tsunami, but not very high. Still, the fact that it doesnʼt reach Kunan means we might be able to use it as one of the points to set up a new defense line. In addition, itʼs better to watch out on our northern front.

”According to our information, there are two demon kings: Land Demon King and Sky Demon King. If their name reflects their identities, it means there is no Sea Demon King, or else the scale might be even bigger.

”Thatʼs why, with the limited resources, this sea attack might just be a distraction. They will most likely launch an all-out attack from the north.”

The king fell silent. It looked dire, but after hearing the analysis, he started to think that it wasnʼt as bad as he had originally thought.

The minister of defense also benefited a lot from his analysis. He stepped forward and offered a suggestion. ”Your Majesty. We should immediately announce martial law. All people are ready to fight.

”In addition, I agree with Duke Ezenholm in setting up a new defense line. We will use Kunan, Rakuta, and Elwood as the main anchors for the new defense line. This line will be enough to stop the incoming demons.

”However, due to the potential of ancient demons, I believe we need Sir Avalon to take charge of this defense line.

”I will have to ask Duke Ezenholm to take charge of the northern defense line. Sir Alan will have to stay in the capital to ensure the stability and to protect the king from potential assassination until the situation has been assessed accurately.”

Raincart nodded. ”I donʼt mind.”

With Raincartʼs agreement, there was no need to say anything else. The king declared, ”Duke Avalon is to head to the north. South. I would like to have Graham accompany him.

”Although it might look hard, we will try to save any survivors of the tsunami if possible. However, the defense line will still be the priority. Bring the Golden Eagle Army and the White Knight Army to the south.”

Some ministers were quite surprised that the king would give Avalon the top two armies right away. They thought the king was still trying to suppress Raincart even in this situation.

However, it looked like their worries were unnecessary.

The king continued, ”Duke Ezenholm is to head to the northern front and bring all the troops from the north and the west side of the kingdom. All the nobles within those territories are to send their troops to the north.”

While it was true that the king gave the two top armies to Avalon, the number of troops Raincart brought would be four times Duke Avalonʼs number. They might not be as bright as the two top armies, but there were nobles that might participate in the war, meaning there would be a lot more officers that could lead the army.

Raincartʼs status as well as his backer would be enough to control those nobles and soldiers.

Raincart lowered his head. ”I accept my assignment.”

The minister of defense added, ”The royal army and Duke Alan will have to remain here for the moment. There is a chance of a sneak attack, so we have to be extra careful.”

Raincart suddenly suggested. ”Actually, how about asking the Moon Temple to help Duke Avalon? They are good at saving people, right?”

”Do you mean asking them to cooperate with our search and rescue teams?”

”Yes. Besides, they possess an airship. We can evacuate the survivors by air.”

”!!!” The minister of defense was surprised before nodding his head. ”Thatʼs a good idea, but I have no way of asking them.”

”I will try to send a letter to them and to my grandson in case they donʼt accept our request.”

The minister accepted the arrangement.

The king added, ”Mobilize all types of transportation to bring our troops as quickly as possible. They must be trying to confuse us, so we have to be fast.”
