Chapter 1578: Resolve

”This is...” Old Ru widened his eyes and dropped his jaw.

Even the Lion King was staring in disbelief.

”Hehehe. Look at me. I have changed-nya.” The Phantom proudly showed her body.

”So, it’s a success...” Old Ru didn’t know what to say anymore. Noel had once again made a miracle. One thousand years ago, his ancestor saved the beast kingdom. One thousand years later, Noel would give them hope.

The Phantom nodded. ”That’s right-nya! According to Sir Noel, it can be done to the entire beast kingdom-nya. Besides, the process doesn’t hurt-nya.”

”What?” The Lion King couldn’t contain his shock. ”If it wasn’t painful, we could let the children do it as well.”

”Your Majesty. There might be a change in his control. He might have gotten better control as well, so there’s a chance that even the purification doesn’t hurt anymore. Although this is speculation, I think the chance of it being true is quite high.” Old Ru gulped.

”Spirit God blesses my kingdom, Spirit God blesses our people.” The Lion King was astonished. If this were true, then their true dream would become a reality sooner or later.

Still, asking Noel to do this for the rest of the beast kingdom would definitely require a long time, a time that they didn’t have. Due to the threat of the demons, they had no choice but to go to war sooner or later.

And to fulfill their goal, they had to survive.

The Lion King asked, ”It looks like we definitely have to win the war. As long as we can win the war, we can achieve our goal. As for the demon kings, we have no choice but to leave it to him. We can only hope that he is able to win and survive.”

The worst-case scenario wasn’t about getting defeated, but Noel’s death. Even if they won, as long as Noel died along with the demon kings, they wouldn’t be able to fulfill their dream.

There was also no one who inherited Ardagan, meaning their only hope was shattered.

On the other hand, if they were defeated, they would also die, but the rest of the humans. In the end, they didn’t need to hope anymore.

So, Noel had to survive no matter what.

Old Ru looked down, contemplating. ”It looks like we have to go all out for this war. We know that this won’t be an easy fight.”

The Lion King asked, ”What do you think we should do?”

”According to my divination, it’s better to send the Diva to the Zaecuria Kingdom’s coast. I’m not entirely sure what they have prepared, but it’s going to be a bloodbath over there.

”Our kingdom will also bear some damage, but it won’t be as hard as the Zaecuria Kingdom. Still, we are here for our hope as well, so it’s best to let two elders remain here.

”From my calculations, it’s best to let Vampire and Arctic Queen protect this kingdom. The Vampire is naturally lazy, so it’s best not to send him outside the kingdom. He will still be diligent enough to protect this kingdom.

”Meanwhile, the Arctic Queen is very flexible. She can manage all the holes we have to worry about because of Vampire.”

”Those two?” The Lion King raised his eyebrows. ”Are you going out as well, Prophet?”

Old Ru nodded with a serious expression. ”Yes. I don’t know if my grandson will have enough time to become a spirit transcendence or not, but I need to go out. This will be my last battle.”

The Lion King’s face turned grim the moment he heard ’last battle.’ Old Ru had actually prepared himself to die in this battle. It looked like the upcoming war would be so brutal that many would die.

At the same time, he didn’t plan to show his worry. This was his respect for him. In the end, Old Ru wished to die by the blade, so he would grant his wish to participate. This was why he trained Andreas, hoping for him to inherit his position as an elder.

Even the Phantom, who was playful, turned serious after hearing his request.

”What do I have to do-nya?!” The Phantom pointed at herself.

”Your job is probably the hardest among us. Since we are going out, we need someone who can monitor the situation and figure out the enemy’s position.

”In the past, the demon king fooled everyone by launching a fake attack on the beast kingdom, so you have to keep everything in check. We can’t fall for that trick anymore. And if necessary, you and the two elders will fight together. I will leave at least 200,000 proud warriors from all tribes.

”In this kind of war, I expect everyone to contribute. Whether you are women or children, everyone has to do something.

”Venom Overlord is our strongest fighter, so he will be the spear to penetrate their scheme. I will work with the Venom Overlord on the battlefield.”

”What should I do then?” The Lion King definitely didn’t want to get left behind.

”Your Majesty. You are our leader. Of course, you have to stay.”

”What?” The Lion King clenched his fists. ”Are you trying to protect me? I’m not a coward.”

”Of course, I know that. While I do wish to protect you, you are the leader of our race. If the enemy truly wants to harm the kingdom, I wish for you to take up your arms and lead our proud warriors to stop them.”

The Lion King wanted to say something, but Old Ru’s serious stare stopped him.

”I don’t know how many enemies we have to fight, but I know one thing. We will prevail. I believe that Noel Ardagan has surpassed his own ancestors. At the same time, the demon kings must have known this as well, so they will definitely prepare more to kill him.

”This is the war that we have been waiting for. If we win, there is nothing that can scare us anymore. If we lose, this will be the end of it. That’s why Noel Ardagan hasn’t tried to make a descendant yet.

”There was a story in the past. A general crossed the river and burned all his ships. With no path of going back, we could only be victorious if we wanted to survive.

”Let us also show our resolve to win,” Old Ru stated solemnly.
