System vs Rebirth

Chapter 1575: Answer

ʼIn other words, you have to first construct a new body. During the reconstruction process, you have to concentrate that spirit power into something that can be connected to the entire body, which means the foundation of the new body.

ʼIn my case, it will be the Spirit Seal. For the Phantom or the Arctic Queen, it will be their senses or some animal parts. This will create a system that synergizes with each other.

ʼThis synergy will become one whole new system, which ultimately creates an entirely new species.ʼ

Ardagan carefully considered Noelʼs answer before agreeing with him.

[It looks like you have found your answer.]

ʼBut what about the flame? How is it going to reconstruct my body? Even though the answer is there, the method hasnʼt been found yet.ʼ

[Do you forget what happened when you fused with me? We can use the flame to concentrate that power. Just like when you expel the ʼcurseʼ from their body, you use that flame to redirect the concentration of their power. This is similar to forging a weapon.]

ʼ...ʼ Noel looked down, contemplating. It seemed to be possible.

[However, the biggest problem about this is actually not them, but you. What you need is to create a new spirit seal. This is not something that you can do right away.]

[Do you know why people require a long time to activate their spirit seal?]

ʼIs it related to the goal or something?ʼ

[Yes and no. Everyone has a spirit in their body. If we have a high compatibility, we will be able to create a spirit seal in your body quickly. I became your spirit the moment you were born, but you only activated me after that exile.]

ʼIt was not entirely because I found my goal?ʼ

[Yes. Your dream definitely plays a part, but itʼs not the entire reason. You can think of it as, why would the spirits make an effort to give someone who doesnʼt want to wield their power?]

ʼThat is true. But what about the spirit seal creation process?ʼ

[As for the creation process, I have only managed to form the spirit seal 10 years after becoming your spirit. Of course, during this period, your body is just a normal human, and your strength is particularly weak.]

[Now that you are a spirit king, you can speed up the process, but it doesnʼt change the fact that itʼs time-consuming, not accounting for the fact that this spirit seal will contain both mine and Heiskʼs power.]

ʼIn that case, we can test the method of body reconstruction on the Phantom first before attempting it on me?ʼ

[Thatʼs the best scenario. You will be more proficient with the method and leave little to no room for error. Besides, it will be good if someone can defend you during that time because you will be extremely vulnerable.]

Noel knew that he couldnʼt afford to ask Anna, Rui, or Incetta for the time being. So, going back wouldnʼt be possible.

It looked like he had no choice but to ask Melissa to defend him during this time.

After finishing his thought, Noel raised his head, noticing the curious gazes from the Phantom and the Arctic Queen.

Noel smiled. ”I think Iʼve found a solution.”

”Nya?!”

”Really?”

Noel nodded with a serious expression as he began explaining his thought and the method. Since the method to expel the ʼcurseʼ within their bodies worked, they accepted the method better than he originally thought.

”There is one thing you need to keep in mind. Even though I can do the body reconstruction, you still will not become a complete human. Instead, you will be like a superhuman. Basically, Iʼm going to concentrate your animal bloodline on several parts.

”If I put it incorrectly, it will weaken you. For example, if I ask the Phantom to concentrate that power in her feet, those feet will be the only thing that resembles a cat.

”On the other hand, the second option is to let the ears remain, which allows her to keep the superior sense of hearing. For this, each animal might have a different part they want to concentrate on.

”If you want the same form within the tribe, then the entire tribe has to decide which part needs to be focused on.”

”If thatʼs the case, I think I can make a decision on behalf of my tribe. If not, I can simply not have any children-nya!” The Phantom raised her head. ”Itʼs better to keep the ears, the tail, and the five senses-nya! Is that possible-nya?”

Noel thought for a moment before shaking his head. ”Not entirely possible. If thatʼs the case, I can probably concentrate your power to your ears, eyes, and tail. As for the nose, it will resemble a catʼs nose.”

”If thatʼs the case, please concentrate my power to my ears, eyes, tail, and mouth. The tail is the most important-nya! Itʼs my sense of balance-nya.”

”I think I can do that.” Noel nodded.

”Then, please do it-nya! Iʼm ready for anything! I will convince my tribe later.”

Noel nodded. ”I can do that right away, but since the process will be similar to last time, Itʼs going to be painful.”

”I donʼt fear any pain-nya. Pain for one day, peace for a lifetime-nya!”

”To think you would say such a sophisticated thing… even though you are just a Phantom.” Melissa shook her head.

”What are you saying-nya? Are you going to fight me-nya? Are you jealous because Iʼm the first one-nya?”

Melissa just rolled her eyes while Noel smiled wryly. The process shouldnʼt take too long because, unlike him, she didnʼt have to form her own spirit seals.

Now that he had a clearer concept of the spirit seal, he realized that the spirits had been residing within their bodies as well. However, the so-called ʼcursesʼ actually prevented the spirit from manifesting. This might be the most accurate explanation.

Noel raised his finger and formed his flame. ”Get ready. Iʼm going to begin.”

”Nya!” The Phantom sat down and straightened her back. She tore a piece of her clothes and bit it, ready for any pain.

After seeing her nod, Noel pushed the flame to her body, burning her.
