Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 748: Chapter 791: Tracing the Whereabouts

The two had just lain down and hadn’t even closed their eyes when there was a sudden knock at the door.

It’s the middle of the night, no visitors would come this late! Only one person would come, and that’s Pete!

Thinking of this, Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting sat up on the bed simultaneously!

The night nurse, who was watching over them, went over to open the door!

Pete came in from outside, somewhat excited and eager, ”President, madam, we’ve found Mo Xuehong’s place! Our people have been following her to a neighborhood gate, but they didn’t go in for fear of being discovered by her. Fortunately, not too many residents live in that neighborhood. Our people finally found out what unit and which apartment Mo Xuehong lives in!”

”Really?” Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin’s eyes lit up, and she threw back the covers to get out of bed!

Mu Beiting grabbed her arm and asked, ”What are you doing?”

Ye Anxin naturally replied, ”Since Mo Xuehong has been found, I must go find my daughter!”

Mu Beiting’s brow furrowed tightly, and he said displeased, ”Don’t you know you’re currently in postpartum confinement? Postpartum women shouldn’t be exposed to the wind! Are you really taking no care of yourself? What if you end up with health issues?”

At this moment, Ye Anxin, overwhelmed by the news, wasn’t listening to Mu Beiting’s words. She vigorously shook off Mu Beiting’s grip obstinately and said, ”I don’t care. I want to find my daughter myself! I need to ensure she is safe and sound right away!”

Mu Beiting patiently urged, ”Be good, listen to me, rest here, and wait for my good news! Pete and I can go!”

Even the nearby night nurse couldn’t help but join in persuading, ”Madam, the gentleman is right. Postpartum confinement is very important for women! Especially for those who had a natural birth, special attention should be given! It’s cold outside now, and it’s early morning. If you go out now, you’ll have severe health repercussions! By then, if the young lady is found, but your health declines, who’s going to take care of her?”

After listening to both the night nurse and Mu Beiting, Ye Anxin was silent for a moment, hesitating, ”But I miss my daughter. I want to see her immediately and confirm that she is safe. Otherwise... otherwise, I will feel guilty and blame myself!”

Mu Beiting, still patient, continued, ”If in the future, you can’t be with Chu Yi, then you should feel guilty and blame yourself! Don’t worry, since I lost her, I will definitely find her back!”

”How about this, I’ll wear more clothes and a hat. Anyway, the car can drive directly to the hospital entrance, and I can get in after leaving the hospital, so I won’t be exposed to much wind. Uncle, please let me go! You should understand the feelings of a mother right now!” Even so, Ye Anxin still didn’t want to stay at home alone, letting Mu Beiting go find their daughter alone! She wanted to go with them, to see the environment her daughter lived in for a day, and more importantly, to know if Mo Xuehong had mistreated her daughter! If Mo Xuehong really did something to her daughter, with Uncle’s character, he certainly wouldn’t tell her! So, she had to see it for herself.

Seeing Ye Anxin’s firm attitude, Pete couldn’t bear it and pleaded on her behalf, ”President, let the madam go with us! I can understand madam’s feelings, as a mother, after her daughter has been missing for a day, finally knowing her whereabouts, she can’t sit still. Instead of letting her overthink here, it’s better to let her come along. The madam is right; the car stops directly at the hospital entrance. If she wears more clothes and a hat, she won’t catch much cold wind!”

Seeing finally someone speak up for her, Ye Anxin quickly said, ”Uncle, you see, even Pete can understand how I feel. You should also understand my feelings right now, shouldn’t you?”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting lowered his head and thought for a while before finally nodding and instructing, ”You can go, but you must promise me not to get emotional no matter what you see later, especially when talking to Mo Xuehong! Given your current situation, you shouldn’t get emotional!”

”I know, I promise you!” To see her daughter as soon as possible, Ye Anxin agreed without hesitation, no matter what Mu Beiting said.

”Madam, I’ll get your clothes and hat!” Seeing matters settled, the night nurse quickly found the clothing Ye Anxin needed for going out and the hat prepared for the day of discharge.

To avoid the cold wind, Ye Anxin wrapped herself up tightly inside out. For warmth, she let down her long hair and put on a hat!

Fully equipped, Mu Beiting then took her hand and led her out of the hospital to the business car parked at the hospital entrance, heading towards Mo Xuehong’s home!

Since the hospital and Mo Xuehong’s home were both in the city center, it didn’t take long for the business car to make the journey.

To avoid alerting anyone, the business car stopped on the opposite side of the road from the neighborhood where Mo Xuehong lived. Mu Beiting led Ye Anxin out of the car, with Pete following behind!

This night, although there was no snow, the wind was still biting cold, blowing in gusts. Afraid that Ye Anxin would catch a cold, Mu Beiting unbuttoned his coat to wrap her upper body inside, guiding her across the street.

The man, who had been surveilling Mo Xuehong’s movements at the neighborhood gate, saw Mu Beiting and Pete approaching and quickly greeted them, ”President, Brother Pete!”

Pete, speaking for Mu Beiting, asked, ”What’s the situation? Has Mo Xuehong been out again?”

The man shook his head and replied honestly, ”No, she hasn’t been out since she came home this afternoon. I just checked under her apartment; the lights are off, she should be asleep!”

Pete nodded and asked again, ”Did you find the people I asked you to?”

”I contacted my brothers early on, and they’ve found them, they should be arriving any minute!” Just as he finished speaking, he pointed to two individuals walking from behind Pete and said, ”Look, they’re here!”

Pete and Mu Beiting turned around simultaneously. Seeing a man carrying a box following their subordinate, they nodded and said in a deep voice, ”Take us to Mo Xuehong’s place!”

”Alright, please follow me!” The man nodded and led Mu Beiting and Pete inside. The two men who arrived later silently followed behind.

The security guard at the neighborhood gate had probably been informed earlier by the man. Seeing them enter, he didn’t intervene, acting as if he hadn’t seen anything, and let them pass without obstruction.

The man led Mu Beiting and Pete through twists and turns in the neighborhood! Although the neighborhood wasn’t large, the greenery area was extensive. After several turns, they finally stopped under a building and pointed to an upper apartment, saying, ”President, that woman lives up there, the third floor!”
