Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 721: Chapter 764: Matters of the Heart

”Let’s go! Let’s go eat!” Ye Anxin happily took Mu Beiting’s arm and walked with him to the restroom to wash their hands.

Completely ignored, Xiao Bai watched his parents’ departing backs and couldn’t help but shiver before following them.

After dinner and putting Xiao Bai to sleep, Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting took a shower and lay in bed together, embraced.

Ye Anxin nestled in Mu Beiting’s arms and said softly, ”Uncle, I’m not going with you to the company tomorrow!”

Mu Beiting, not too pleased, asked, ”Why?”

Ye Anxin rolled her eyes and smiled as she explained, ”I made plans with Yueyue today to accompany her tomorrow! Besides, it’s rare to have clear weather after such a long time of snow; I want to go out for some fresh air and not stay at home or in the office all day!”

Mu Beiting raised an eyebrow and said, displeased, ”Being by my side, you feel bored?”

Knowing that Mu Beiting misunderstood her, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but cough lightly and quickly explained, ”Cough cough...! Of course not! As long as I’m with you, I’m very content; how could I feel bored? But being at home and in the company every day, it’s always heating, and there’s no fresh air! So, I’ll accompany Yueyue out for a stroll tomorrow, breathe some fresh air, which is also good for the baby!”

Mu Beiting skeptically asked, ”Is that really the case?”

”Of course, what else could it be? I’ve been cooped up at home for so long, and I really want to go out for some air!” Worried that Mu Beiting wouldn’t believe her, Ye Anxin nodded her head desperately.

Indeed, that was the case!

Previously, because of Mo Xuehong and Qin Muyao’s situation, she was afraid they might harm her, so she never dared to go out alone and was practically inseparable from Uncle every day!

Now that Qin Muyao is dead, and Mo Xuehong has left, she has nothing to worry about!

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting considered seriously for a moment before reluctantly nodding his head, agreeing, ”Alright! But, just like this afternoon, a call every half hour!”

”I knew Uncle was the best! It’s late, let’s go to bed early! Shopping all day today was tiring, and I’m really sleepy!” Saying this, Ye Anxin lazily yawned.

Mu Beiting nodded, pulled Ye Anxin’s head closer to his chest, and said softly, ”Sleep.”

”Mmm!” Ye Anxin nodded, obediently closing her eyes.

Having been out all day and without a nap in the afternoon, Ye Anxin was genuinely tired, and she soon fell into a rhythmic breathing once her eyes closed.

Listening to the even breathing coming from his embrace, Mu Beiting took out his phone, opened the calendar, and when he saw the date, his eyes suddenly darkened, a complex glint flashing in them.

Mu Beiting stared at the phone for a long, long time before gently releasing the person in his arms and getting up to leave the room.

......

The next morning, Ye Anxin deliberately got up early. While Mu Beiting was washing up, she took out the dark red down jacket she had bought for him the previous day from the closet. When Mu Beiting came out of the restroom, she quickly handed the jacket to him, smiling sweetly, ”Uncle, do you remember what you promised me yesterday? You promised to wear the new clothes I bought for you today!”

Seeing the down jacket in Ye Anxin’s hands, with the tags already removed, Mu Beiting frowned, a deep reluctance in his eyes.

Seeing Mu Beiting’s reluctance, Ye Anxin pouted deliberately and asked sadly, ”What’s wrong? Do you want to go back on your word?”

”No!” Seeing Ye Anxin looking heartbroken, Mu Beiting shook his head and took the lightweight down jacket from her hands and put it on!

”I knew Uncle is the best to me!” she said, giving Mu Beiting a sweet smile and tiptoeing to place a kiss on his handsome face. ”Uncle, you go downstairs first, I’ll come down after I finish freshening up!”

”Mmm!” Mu Beiting nodded, looking down at the clothes on him, hesitated for a moment, and then left the room.

When Mu Beiting made his way down the stairs, Xiao Bai, already sitting on the sofa, quickly looked over! Upon seeing that he indeed wore the clothes Ye Anxin bought yesterday, Xiao Bai’s face immediately darkened, and he said with a not-quite-smile, ”Dad, you really wore that outfit?”

Mu Beiting glanced down at his clothes, looking rather displeased as he walked over to sit next to Xiao Bai.

Seeing his dad silent, Xiao Bai, taking courage, continued, ”Dad, you’re really nice to mom! You obviously don’t like it but still wear it!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting frowned deeply, finally unable to contain himself and spat out two words, ”Shut up!”

Seeing his dad finally lose his temper, Xiao Bai pursed his lips but said nothing more!

Not long after, Ye Anxin also finished freshening up and came downstairs. Accompanying Mu Beiting, she had an early breakfast and then saw Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai off.

Standing at the doorstep, seeing that Ye Anxin had no intention of getting in the car, Xiao Bai curiously asked, ”Mom, aren’t you going to the company with Dad?”

Ye Anxin squinted her eyes, smiling sweetly as she said, ”Mom made plans with Aunt Yueyue to go shopping today, so I’m not going with your dad to the company!”

Upon hearing this, Xiao Bai frowned as well, discontented, ”What’s so good about shopping? The weather isn’t nice, what if you accidentally slip and fall? It could harm my little sister!”

Seeing Xiao Bai acting so grown-up and reprimanding her, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but cough lightly, ”Cough cough...! Don’t worry! Mom will be careful! Isn’t the weather good today? It hasn’t snowed, and the roads have been cleared, nothing to worry about!”

After listening to Ye Anxin, Xiao Bai looked up at the sky, pouted, and reluctantly reminded her, ”Then be careful!”

”Don’t worry! I will!” Saying this, she waved to Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai, watching them get into the sedan and leave before turning back inside.

Once inside, Ye Anxin went upstairs to change into a clean outfit, put the gift for Mu Beiting into her shoulder bag, and walked downstairs to find the butler, smiling as she said, ”Butler, you don’t need to prepare dinner for Uncle and me tonight, just prepare for Xiao Bai alone. Uncle and I will eat out.”

The butler hurriedly nodded, ”Alright, I understand!”

Ye Anxin reminded him anxiously, ”By the way, don’t tell Uncle about this yet, and don’t say anything to anyone, not even Xiao Bai, okay?”

”...!” The butler hesitated for a moment, though a bit puzzled, he nodded in agreement!

He knew that whatever Madam did was for Sir’s benefit! Since Madam said so, there must be a reason, so he only needed to follow instructions! Madam surely has her plans!

”Thank you! I’ll be heading out now!” Saying this, she waved to the butler and, with her shoulder bag, headed out the door.

......

Meanwhile, at Mu Group!

Mu Beiting, wearing the new clothes bought by Ye Anxin, took the elevator straight to the top floor. As he exited, Pete happened to walk out of the office.
