Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 738: Chapter 781: Favoring Daughters Over Sons

Little Chu Yi seemed to understand and immediately let out a crisp laugh like a silver bell!

While playing with Little Chu Yi, Ye Anxin said to Mu Beiting beside her, ”Uncle, what name do you think we should give our daughter? Our daughter is so cute and beautiful, we must give her a nice name!”

Without any hesitation, Mu Beiting directly said three words, ”Mu Lianxin!”

”Mu Lianxin?” Ye Anxin looked at Little Chu Yi, repeatedly and carefully savoring the name.

After thinking seriously for a moment, she realized the meaning behind the name, her pretty face blushing, she shyly asked, ”Mu Lianxin, does it mean Mu Beiting loves Ye Anxin?”

Mu Beiting’s handsome face turned slightly red, awkwardly nodding, ”Yes!”

Ye Anxin gave Mu Beiting a sidelong glance and happily said, ”So cheesy! But, I like the name, it sounds nice and is more meaningful than Little Chu Yi. It also proves Uncle’s love for me!”

Upon hearing Ye Anxin’s words, Mu Beiting’s handsome face turned even redder, his eyes flickering guiltily, his thin lips opening and closing for a while, ultimately saying nothing, shifting his gaze to Ye Anxin in an attempt to divert attention.

Seeing Mu Beiting just staring eagerly beside them, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but ask, ”Uncle, do you want to hold Chu Yi!”

Mu Beiting hesitated for a while, after some inner struggle, he still shook his head, ”I won’t hold her, I’m clumsy, afraid I’ll hurt her!”

”Oh, it’s alright, it’s winter now, she’s wrapped in such a thick blanket, she won’t get hurt!” As she spoke, without waiting for Mu Beiting to refuse again, she directly handed the baby in her arms to Mu Beiting.

And Little Chu Yi seemed to have heard Ye Anxin too, blinking her round eyes full of expectation, staring at Mu Beiting! As if afraid Mu Beiting wouldn’t hold her, she even grinned and smiled sweetly at Mu Beiting!

Faced with such an adorable little one, Mu Beiting had no resistance left, extending his hands, holding her tightly in his arms! Deep, loving eyes focused intently on the little one in his arms who was giggling at him!

This smile was very sweet and soft! Exactly like her mother’s, with crescent-shaped eyes when smiling, like a crescent moon in the sky, clear yet gentle! Also like the winter sun, warming the heart!

His expression as he looked at Little Chu Yi at that moment, he had never shown to Xiao Bai!

Seeing the uncontrollable tenderness in Mu Beiting’s eyes, Ye Anxin asked jealously, ”Uncle, do you like Little Chu Yi?”

Mu Beiting, looking at Little Chu Yi in his arms, didn’t even lift his head, answering without hesitation, ”I like her!”

Ye Anxin asked again, ”Then between me and Little Chu Yi, who do you like more?”

”I like both!” Mu Beiting’s answer was also without any hesitation, without any contemplation, thus decisive and firm.

Seeing this, Ye Anxin pouted and said deliberately, ”Uncle, I’m jealous!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting finally lifted his head, moving his gaze from Little Chu Yi to Ye Anxin’s face, looking at her perplexedly, seemingly not understanding the meaning behind her words!

Ye Anxin puffed her cheeks, continuing, ”Uncle, you never treated Xiao Bai like this before? I’m too biased! If Xiao Bai sees this, he will feel bad!”

Facing Ye Anxin’s dissatisfaction, Mu Beiting didn’t take it seriously at all, confidently saying, ”In my heart, they are all the same! But, girls are meant to be cherished and pampered! Xiao Bai is a man, what’s the point of spoiling him?”

”...!” Ye Anxin was stunned, unexpectedly unable to find words to counter Mu Beiting!

After a while, Ye Anxin reluctantly managed to say, ”What about me?”

Mu Beiting raised his eyebrows, seriously asking, ”Don’t I cherish and pamper you enough?”

”...!” Ye Anxin was speechless again, not knowing how to respond to Mu Beiting’s words for quite some time!

Seeing Ye Anxin not speaking any further, Mu Beiting continued to lower his head, amusing the little porcelain-like girl in his arms!

Watching this harmonious scene unfold, Ye Anxin was momentarily lost in thought!

Throughout her marriage with Uncle, she had never seen Uncle like this! Although Uncle treated her very well, his kindness was always in actions and in his heart! Never as evident as this!

Seeing the change in Uncle, the sourness in her heart instantaneously vanished without a trace!

While Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting were busy playing with the little one in their arms, the nanny was busy cleaning Chu Yi’s bottles and tidying up the baby crib!

At this time, a sudden knock on the door echoed through the room!

”Come in!” As Ye Anxin’s voice fell, the door to the room was pushed open from the outside! Before Ye Anxin could see who it was, the first person into the room rushed to her bedside, nervously holding her hand.

Ye Anxin looked closely, only to realize it was her own mother!

Seeing her mother, Ye Anxin smiled and asked, ”Mom, why did you come so early?”

Ye An’s mother glared at Ye Anxin, reproachingly saying, ”This morning Yueyue called me, I hurried over immediately! You little girl, why didn’t you call me last night when you went into labor? At least, mom could’ve been by your side with you!”

Ye Anxin smiled, gently patting her mother’s hand, comforting her, ”Mom, I just didn’t want you to worry! Besides, I was in so much pain then, almost out of breath, there was no time to call you! At that time, Uncle was also entirely worried about me and the baby’s safety, there was no extra thought to think of anything else! Besides, aren’t I fine now? Uncle has been by my side the whole time!”

Ye An’s mother didn’t continue the conversation with Ye Anxin, impatiently asking, ”Where’s the baby! Let me see quickly!”

”Uncle is holding her!” Ye Anxin smiled, looking at Mu Beiting, saying: ”Uncle, show the baby to my mom quickly!”

Mu Beiting’s expression, which was gentle just now, darkened instantly, looking at Ye Anxin with full of reluctance in his eyes!

Ye Anxin knew he was reluctant and uneasy, but it was her mother who wanted to hold the baby. Even knowing Mu Beiting was unwilling, she couldn’t help but call out again, ”Uncle...!”

Mu Beiting’s thin lips moved slightly, finally, still unwillingly, bringing Little Chu Yi over to Ye An’s mother!

Ye An’s mother looked at Little Chu Yi in front of her, tremblingly accepting her into her hands!

Just having left Mu Beiting’s arms, the previously giggling Little Chu Yi pouted and suddenly burst into tears!

Little Chu Yi’s crying scared Ye An’s mother, who hadn’t even had time to take a good look at her. She was instantly flustered, ”Oh... what’s wrong with her? Could she be hungry?”

”She just ate a moment ago! How could she be hungry?” Ye Anxin was equally puzzled, looking at Little Chu Yi, not understanding why the little one who was fine just now suddenly started crying.
