Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 739: Chapter 782: You’re Not My Wife

”Did she poop? Give the baby to me, let me take a look!” Hearing the baby’s cry, the nanny hurried over and took little Chu Yi from Ye An’s mother’s arms! Even in the nanny’s arms, little Chu Yi continued to cry!

Everyone thought she pooped and didn’t pay much attention! But when the nanny opened the baby’s wrapped blanket, there was only a wet diaper, she hadn’t pooped at all!

The nanny quickly changed the diaper, put on a clean one, and wrapped her back up! Yet, little Chu Yi was still crying fiercely!

Seeing the child cry so much, Ye An’s mother paced back and forth in the ward, holding the baby, and asked Ye Anxin puzzledly, ”What’s wrong with this baby? Why won’t she stop crying? Is she feeling uncomfortable somewhere?”

”How could that be? Wasn’t she fine just now?” Saying this, Ye Anxin glanced at Mu Beiting, whose eyes were following Ye An’s mother’s movements. Seeing the baby crying, the expression on his face was filled with such heartache, as if he wanted to snatch the baby from Ye An’s mother’s hands immediately!

Seeing Mu Beiting like this, and recalling how happy the baby was just now when he was holding her, Anxin seemed to understand something, hurriedly said, ”Mom, how about letting uncle hold her for a bit? Maybe she doesn’t like the change of arms!”

Ye An’s mother didn’t think twice and said, ”How is that possible! This newborn baby couldn’t recognize people yet! Impossible!”

”Let’s try! She was doing well in uncle’s arms just now, and she just started crying after changing hands. Maybe she’s familiar with uncle’s scent!” Although Ye Anxin didn’t believe that a newborn could recognize people, there must be a reason for the baby’s unprovoked crying!

”Really?” Ye An’s mother gave Ye Anxin a look of disbelief, but she still handed little Chu Yi over to Mu Beiting!

Mu Beiting hurriedly reached out to take her, holding her tightly in his arms!

As soon as Mu Beiting held little Chu Yi, she miraculously stopped crying, and her eyes, still wet with tears, curved into crescent moons as she smiled sweetly at Mu Beiting!

This sight made Ye An’s mother widen her eyes in surprise, exclaiming, ”Oh my, this child really does recognize people! As soon as her dad holds her, she starts smiling! What a strange child!”

”I guess the little one can smell the scent of her dad, and she likes it so much she doesn’t want to leave!” Seeing this scene, though surprised, Ye Anxin felt more relieved and happy!

A daughter being close to her dad is an age-old truth! It shows her daughter is smart, even at such a young age she knows how to act cute in front of her dad! With her daughter being this little ray of sunshine, uncle will surely soften more!

Watching little Chu Yi nesting adorably and compliantly in Mu Beiting’s arms, Ye An’s mother couldn’t help but sigh, ”Ah... this child is truly smart. Just after being born, she already knows who her dad is! Truly blood is thicker than water, this is the bond between father and daughter!”

Listening to Ye An’s mother’s words, Mu Beiting’s gaze towards little Chu Yi became even softer, more tender!

.........

On the first day of the baby’s birth, everyone who got the news came by! Not a single person who saw little Chu Yi said she wasn’t lovely!

Throughout the day, except when sleeping, she clung to Mu Beiting and refused to come out. Whenever someone else held her, no matter who it was, even Ye Anxin, she’d cry loudly. But as soon as she was back in Mu Beiting’s arms, she’d stop crying and smile with squinted eyes at him!

Since arriving at the hospital in the morning, Xiao Bai had been watching the way his father was glued to his little sister all day, and couldn’t help but pout, grumbling, ”Now that there’s a little sister, Dad doesn’t like me anymore! I’ve been sitting here all day, and Dad hasn’t even looked at me once, his eyes are all on my sister!”

Mu Beiting replied without looking up, ”I’ve been looking at you for almost six years, I’m already tired of it!”

”...!” Being retorted like that by Mu Beiting made Xiao Bai, already feeling a sense of imbalance, feel even more imbalanced!

Seeing Xiao Bai’s sullen face, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry, reached out to stroke Xiao Bai’s head and softly comforted, ”Xiao Bai, don’t be jealous, your sister was just born and needs care the most, she can’t feed herself yet, can’t talk, and only knows how to cry when she needs something! So at this time, she especially needs love and tolerance from Dad, Mom, and her brother! You’re her brother, you should love her with Mom and Dad! Don’t worry, Mom and Dad will never stop loving you just because of her, you’ll always be the apple of our eye, both you and your sister are equally important in our hearts! You’re her big brother, six years older, you should love her just like Mom and Dad, okay?”

Listening to Ye Anxin’s words, Xiao Bai not only wasn’t pleased but somewhat unconvinced asked, ”Mom and Dad really won’t stop liking me because of my sister?”

Ye Anxin nodded gently, ”Of course, since when have I ever lied to you! You’re already in school now, and Mom and Dad might be a bit stricter with you, but that’s because we have hopes for you, we want you to grow up to be a successful man like your father, and help him with the Mu Group! But your sister is different, I hope she grows up to be gentle, considerate, and cute like me, to become the woman behind a successful man! Whether your sister can become as happy as me in the future all depends on how you love her as her big brother!”

Hearing this, Xiao Bai couldn’t help but curl his lips, ”Mom, are you just casually complimenting yourself while complimenting me and Dad?”

Being ridiculed like that by Xiao Bai made Ye Anxin’s smile stiffen on her face, ”Hehe... am I wrong? Am I not gentle, considerate, and cute?”

Xiao Bai pouted, unreservedly retorted, ”That shouldn’t be for me to say, it should be Dad’s call! You’re not my wife!”

As Xiao Bai finished speaking, Ye Anxin and his gaze immediately turned to Mu Beiting!

Seeing their great conversation suddenly switch focus to himself, Mu Beiting reluctantly shifted his gaze from little Chu Yi’s face, gave Ye Anxin and Xiao Bai a casual glance, then returned his eyes to the little baby in his arms, as though he hadn’t heard their conversation at all!

Xiao Bai shrugged, deliberately provoked, ”See, Dad can’t even listen to this kind of talk! He just doesn’t think you’re gentle, cute, or considerate!”

”Uncle, is Xiao Bai right?” Ye Anxin’s sharp eyes fixed on Mu Beiting, determined not to relent until she heard the truth straight from his mouth!

Mu Beiting raised his head once again, looking at them blankly, ”Right or not about what?”
