Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 450: Chapter 493: Jealous Rivalry

Because of Mrs. Su’s situation, the mood for the outing was completely ruined. Xiao Bai was also disheartened and didn’t feel like playing anymore, so the three of them took a car home.

Sitting in the car, thinking about Mrs. Su’s condition, Ye Anxin sighed helplessly, put her arm around Xiao Bai’s shoulder, and said gently, ”Xiao Bai, did you have a good time today?”

Xiao Bai pouted, displeased, ”Not happy, ruined the mood!”

Ye Anxin patted his head, coaxing, ”It’s alright, it’s just an interlude! Let’s forget about it!”

Xiao Bai furrowed his brows, snorted coldly, and grumbled, ”I’m not a child. I don’t like being talked to in a way that makes it seem like I am!”

Ye Anxin couldn’t help but twitch the corners of her mouth and gave a sheepish smile, ”Okay, okay, our Xiao Bai isn’t a child, he’s a grown-up now! I won’t use words to coax you like I would a child!”

Listening to Ye Anxin’s words, Xiao Bai rolled his eyes and said speechlessly, ”Then why are you still saying such childish things?”

This time, Ye Anxin was completely speechless!

This little guy, obviously just a five-year-old kid, always acting like an adult! Seeing him behave like this little adult, she really felt annoyed and amused.

After talking to Xiao Bai, Ye Anxin turned to Mu Beiting and said, ”Uncle, once we get back, I’ll call to book a plane ticket! It’s been a few days, and I must return to Han City to explain things! I have no idea what’s going on with the school!”

Because on the night she came here, her phone went missing, and although she hadn’t received calls from Su Yichen or the school, she could almost imagine that her phone must have been blown up these past few days!

In her twenty-five years of life, it was the first time she’d handled things with no explanation.

Mu Beiting nodded, saying nonchalantly, ”Hmm, I’ll accompany you!”

Upon hearing that Ye Anxin was leaving tomorrow, Xiao Bai suddenly grabbed Ye Anxin’s hand, a bit nervously saying, ”You promised you’d come back, right?”

Seeing Xiao Bai looking so insecure, Ye Anxin suddenly felt a pang in her heart. She hugged his head into her arms, her eyes reddening, and choked up, ”Don’t worry, Xiao Bai, Mom promises you, she’ll never leave you in this lifetime! In the future, Mom will be by your side and grow up with you!”

Xiao Bai pouted earnestly, saying, ”You said it, don’t forget what you said today! Otherwise, I’ll never forgive you for the rest of my life!”

Listening to Xiao Bai’s words, Ye Anxin felt a stabbing pain in her heart, feeling even more guilty toward him.

Ye Anxin hugged Xiao Bai, pledging, ”Mom won’t forget, Mom won’t forget anything she’s said to Xiao Bai!”

After hearing Ye Anxin’s assurance, Xiao Bai’s anxious heart finally relaxed.

The car slowly drove back to the villa.

After arriving home, Mu Beiting immediately disinfected Ye Anxin’s wound on her arm with antiseptic and bandaged it nicely!

During dinner time, after everyone had their meal, Ye Anxin took Xiao Bai upstairs.

Mu Beiting followed behind them, looking at their hands tightly clasped together, his brows unknowingly furrowing.

Ye Anxin walked Xiao Bai to his room door, ”Xiao Bai, be good, take a bath and go to sleep! You’ve played all afternoon, you should be tired! We have to get up early tomorrow!”

”I... I...!” Xiao Bai stood at the door, hesitating, not wanting to go in.

Seeing his reluctance, Ye Anxin squatted down, habitually patted his head, and asked gently, ”What’s wrong? Does Xiao Bai have something else to say to Mom?”

Xiao Bai’s little face flushed red, he lowered his head, embarrassedly saying, ”I... I want you to stay with me...!” As he spoke, his voice got quieter and quieter, almost impossible to hear if not listened to carefully.

Just as Xiao Bai finished speaking, before Ye Anxin could react, Mu Beiting resolutely refused, ”No!”

Xiao Bai lifted his head and looked at Mu Beiting, aggrieved, ”Why?”

Mu Beiting stated seriously, ”You’re a man!”

”...?”

”...?” Xiao Bai and Ye Anxin simultaneously looked puzzled.

What about being a man? After all, he was just a five-year-old little man who needed parental love!

Mu Beiting continued, ”Your mom is a woman!”

”...?”

”...?” Xiao Bai and Ye Anxin still didn’t understand what he meant, looking at him confused, blinking their eyes.

Mu Beiting said earnestly, ”Men and women, except couples, can’t sleep together!”

”Cough cough...!” Finally understanding his meaning, Ye Anxin choked on her own saliva.

Xiao Bai disagreed, ”But she’s my mom!”

Mu Beiting answered firmly without thinking, ”Even if she’s your mom, it’s not okay!”

Ye Anxin raised her head to look at him, speaking softly, ”Uncle, why don’t you let me accompany Xiao Bai? For so many years, I haven’t spent even a day with him; I hope to compensate him well!”

”Then why won’t you compensate me?” Mu Beiting looked at her grieved, acting as if it was only natural.

”Uh...!” Seeing Mu Beiting’s aggrieved expression, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

What’s this?

Father and son competing for attention?

For the first time, she realized she was so important, able to make two excellent men compete.

”Mom...! I’m scared to sleep alone!” In an attempt to make Ye Anxin stay with him, Xiao Bai’s eyes filled with tears, looking pitifully at Ye Anxin to gain her sympathy and soften her heart.

And this was the first time he called her mom.

Hearing this address, Ye Anxin’s heart instantly softened, ignoring Mu Beiting’s feelings, she nodded and agreed, ”Okay, okay, I promise you, Mom will stay with you tonight!”

Listening to Ye Anxin’s words, Mu Beiting’s face turned extremely unpleasant.

”Really!” Seeing Ye Anxin agree, Xiao Bai’s eyes immediately brightened, with no trace of tears left.

Ye Anxin nodded, promising, ”Yes! Go back to your room first, Mom will come to keep you company after she’s had a bath!”

”Okay! Then I’ll wait for you!” With that, Xiao Bai waved to Ye Anxin, happily entering the room.

”Let’s go back to our room!” After Xiao Bai returned to his room, Ye Anxin stood up, took Mu Beiting’s hand, and prepared to head back to the main bedroom.

Unexpectedly, just as Ye Anxin held Mu Beiting’s hand, he suddenly withdrew his hand and turned around, heading toward the main bedroom without looking back.

Looking at her empty hand, Ye Anxin froze momentarily.

Was she refused?

Was Uncle angry?

Thinking about this, Ye Anxin hurriedly chased him, grabbing his hand from behind, leaning her head on his shoulder, and asked gently, ”Uncle, what’s wrong? Are you angry?”

Mu Beiting didn’t even glance at her, pouting and grieved, ”Pretending not to know!”

Ye Anxin laughed and coaxed him, ”I was only worrying about Xiao Bai. He’s so young, without his mother by his side, sleeping alone can be frightening! I just want to double all the motherly affection I owe him over these five years!”
