Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 449: Chapter 492: Desperate to Save Her Daughter

As passersby dodged out of the way, the path ahead of Ye Anxin gradually cleared.

Ye Anxin ran forward while looking back to see how far behind Su’s mother was!

As a result, as soon as she turned her head, she tripped over something unknown beneath her and lost her balance, falling directly to the ground.

Su’s mother had been chasing closely, and with the road clear of pedestrians, she was getting closer and closer to Ye Anxin. As soon as Ye Anxin fell, she immediately rushed over, pointed at Ye Anxin, who was lying on the ground looking at her in panic, and said viciously, ”Ye Anxin, I’m asking you, will you help me get Yuexin out or not?”

At this point, Ye Anxin didn’t dare provoke her, saying anything that would make her even crazier. She had to smile and gently soothe, ”Auntie, don’t get excited, let’s talk calmly! I don’t even know what’s going on, how can I help you?”

Ye Anxin slowly got up from the ground, shielding herself with her hands, warily watching Su’s mother.

Hearing Ye Anxin’s words, Su’s mother suddenly turned her anger into smiles and couldn’t wait to say, ”All you have to do is plead with Mu Beiting to let Yuexin go! If she stays there any longer, she’ll be tortured to death! As long as you’re willing to plead with Mu Beiting for her, I’ll let you go!”

”Okay, okay! Come on! Let’s put down the fruit knife and find a place to sit and talk slowly!” As she spoke, Ye Anxin reached out, trying to take the fruit knife from Su’s mother’s hand.

With Ye Anxin’s reassurance, Su’s mother foolishly smiled and obediently handed the fruit knife to Ye Anxin.

Seeing Su’s mother so easily hand over the fruit knife, with an innocent, defenseless smile on her face, Ye Anxin was momentarily stunned!

At this moment, she was already sure that the woman in front of her was no longer the arrogant, imperious Su’s mother she used to know!

She was now very certain that Su’s mother had mental issues!

Ye Anxin, with a complex feeling, threw the fruit knife into a nearby trash can, smiled slightly at Su’s mother, and pointed to a nearby bench, ”Let’s sit over there and talk slowly. Don’t get agitated, let’s talk everything out calmly!”

She understood that Su’s mother had mental problems and could not be easily provoked. Otherwise, she might do something bad!

Helplessly, Ye Anxin had to humor her to delay time.

After sitting on the bench, Su’s mother’s head still nervously shook lightly, and the hand holding Ye Anxin also slightly trembled.

Su’s mother, having changed from her menacing demeanor earlier, pleaded, ”Ye Anxin, Yuexin really knows she was wrong! She has already received her due punishment. I beg you, let her go! She has nothing left now; you’ve already won and gained everything. Please just let her go! She’s my only daughter; I really can’t live without her!”

Ye Anxin smiled gently, probing, ”First tell me, how did you know I was here? Have you been following me for a long time?”

”I... I went to find Mu Beiting... I wanted to beg him... But, I could never see him; he refused to meet me! I’ve been standing outside the villa for two years! Watching Yuexin suffer in prison, my heart aches. I want to get her out! But... I have no way, no way at all... I...!” Saying this, thinking of her dear daughter’s miserable state in prison, Su’s mother started crying.

Even though she wasn’t familiar with Su’s mother and hadn’t seen her many times, seeing this once arrogant woman crying so sorrowfully, Ye Anxin felt indescribably touched.

After all, one could pity all parents under heaven, as she once did, willing to kill for Xiao Bai.

Surely, Su’s mother couldn’t bear this huge change, seeing her daughter suffer and being powerless, she must have lost her mind!

Ye Anxin sighed helplessly, ”You go back first, I will try to talk to uncle and see if he’s willing to let her out!”

Upon hearing this, Su’s mother’s grip on Ye Anxin’s arm tightened, full of expectation, ”You can, as long as you speak, you can definitely do it!”

As a result, because of Su’s mother’s excessive force, she inadvertently affected a wound on her arm, and Ye Anxin couldn’t help but gasp in pain.

At this moment, fresh from the haunted house, Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai saw the scene.

Mu Beiting’s brows furrowed tightly, and without thinking, he strode over, stretched out a long arm, pulled Ye Anxin into his embrace, and without hesitation, kicked Su’s mother off the bench and to the ground.

Xiao Bai immediately ran over, held Ye Anxin’s hand, and asked anxiously, ”Are you okay?”

Seeing Xiao Bai’s concerned and anxious expression for the first time, Ye Anxin felt a wave of emotion, promptly freed herself from Mu Beiting’s embrace, squatted down, touched Xiao Bai’s face, and said softly, ”Mom is fine, Xiao Bai don’t worry!”

Seeing Mu Beiting, Su’s mother’s eyes lit up immediately. She knelt and ran to Mu Beiting, hugging his legs, sobbing, ”Mu Beiting, I’m begging you, let my daughter go, please let her go! She’s worse off than dead now, be kind and let her go!”

”Get lost...!” Mu Beiting coldly glanced at the hand Su’s mother had on his legs, raised his foot, and ruthlessly kicked her far away.

Mu Beiting’s kick was full of force, sending Su’s mother flying, and she landed on the ground with all four limbs splayed out.

Fallen to the ground, Su’s mother seemed to feel no pain and immediately sat up, trying again to pounce toward Mu Beiting, but upon seeing Mu Beiting’s sharp and cold gaze like Satan, she lowered her head in terror, not daring to move again.

Mu Beiting seethed, clenching his jaw, lifting his foot again to kick Su’s mother, but was stopped by Ye Anxin.

”Uncle, let it go! She’s like this now; consider it retribution!” Seeing Su’s mother so pitiful and indeed having never done anything to harm her, everything was Su Yuexin’s doing, and Ye Anxin couldn’t bring herself to see her suffer more, pulling Mu Beiting’s arm, hoping he’d let her be.

Mu Beiting grabbed Ye Anxin’s still bleeding arm, his sharp eyes narrowing, displeased, ”Was it her who hurt you?”

Ye Anxin nodded, smiled, and soothed, ”It’s alright, really, it’s just a surface wound, she was only trying to save her daughter! Let’s just go home!”

Mu Beiting turned to Su’s mother with a sharp warning, ”If you dare disturb her again, I’ll completely destroy Su Yuexin!” With that, he took Ye Anxin’s hand and led her away.

Ye Anxin was led forward by Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai from both sides, but couldn’t help turning to look at Su’s mother one more time.

She saw Su’s mother kneeling on the ground nearby, head bowed, her head shaking continuously, her mouth opening and closing as if murmuring something.
