Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 439: Chapter 480: Fainting

”No, you’re about to faint, and it’s not okay! I’ll call Mr. Mu and let him handle this!” The butler shook his head and ran to the living room to call Mu Beiting.

”No!” Seeing the butler trying to make the call, Ye Anxin was afraid Mu Beiting would find out about her pregnancy, and in panic, she hurriedly stood up to stop him.

As a result, as soon as she stood up, she felt darkness in front of her eyes, her body turned limp, and she fell to the ground.

”Madam!” Teacher Luo, who was standing next to Ye Anxin, exclaimed in shock and hurriedly reached to catch her falling body.

At the moment Ye Anxin fainted, the call the butler made got through, and Mu Beiting’s low, cold voice came through, ”What’s the matter?”

The butler looked at the unconscious Ye Anxin, and stammered, ”Sir, the madam... the madam fainted!”

Hearing this, Mu Beiting’s face darkened, ”Get the driver to take her to the hospital!” With that, he hung up the phone!

The butler didn’t delay for a moment, immediately calling the driver and then instructing the servants to carefully carry Ye Anxin into the car.

Hiding in an upstairs room, Xiao Bai heard the commotion downstairs, opened the door, and seeing Ye Anxin being carried out by several servants, hurried down the stairs.

Upon seeing Ye Anxin’s closed eyes and pale face, Xiao Bai couldn’t hold back, ran down the stairs, grabbed one of the servants, and asked sternly, ”Tell me, what’s going on?”

The servant, anxious, said, ”The madam, she just fainted! The driver is getting ready to take her to the hospital now!”

”I’m going too!” Xiao Bai coldly said and immediately followed them out. After the servants placed Ye Anxin in the back of the minivan, he got in and sat beside her.

The butler sat in the front passenger seat, and after ensuring the door was securely closed, instructed the driver to start driving.

Sitting beside Ye Anxin, Xiao Bai looked at her pale face and couldn’t help but hold her cold hand, his own hand trembling slightly from nervousness and worry.

Xiao Bai brought Ye Anxin’s hand to his lips, whispering, ”It’s okay, it’s okay, you’ll be fine! I won’t allow anything to happen to you! Otherwise... I’ll never forgive you in my life, nor acknowledge you as my mom!”

”Young master, don’t worry! The madam will be fine!” Seeing Xiao Bai’s anxious and heartbroken look, the butler quickly consoled him.

Xiao Bai just tightly held Ye Anxin’s hand without answering.

Due to the urgency, the driver ran several red lights to reach the best private hospital in Jin City as quickly as possible.

The car had barely stopped at the entrance of the inpatient department when someone on the outside opened the door. Mu Beiting bent down to enter, glanced at Xiao Bai, and quickly carried Ye Anxin out of the car, striding towards the emergency room!

The butler and Xiao Bai got out and followed closely.

Outside the emergency room, Mu Beiting stood grim-faced, while Xiao Bai and the butler sat on a nearby bench.

After waiting for a while, the emergency room doors remained closed. Seeing Mu Beiting’s expression growing increasingly grim, Xiao Bai got up, took his hand, and consoled, ”Dad, don’t worry! Mom will be alright!”

Mu Beiting looked down at Xiao Bai, touched his fair little face, and pressed his lips into a faint smile, saying nothing.

Xiao Bai smiled slightly, saying considerately, ”Dad, I’ll stand here and wait with you!”

”I’d like to sit.” Saying that, Mu Beiting sat down on the bench outside the emergency room, pulling Xiao Bai with him.

Xiao Bai obediently sat beside Mu Beiting. Even though he was worried, he didn’t show it at all!

At this moment, his dad was worried enough; he couldn’t let him worry on his behalf!

After waiting for a while outside the emergency room, the red light finally went out!

The doctor, wearing a mask, came out! Ye Anxin, sleeping and on an IV drip, was wheeled out by the medical staff inside.

All three got up immediately to approach. Mu Beiting asked, ”How is she? Will she be alright?”

The doctor removed his mask and smiled, ”Mr. Mu, please rest assured, the madam is fine! She’s just physically weak and also pregnant! This is early pregnancy anemia, which is quite normal! Go home, ensure she gets good nutrition, and has more iron-rich foods, and it’ll be fine! By the second trimester, it’ll get much better!”

Upon hearing that Ye Anxin was pregnant, the faces of Mu Beiting, Xiao Bai, and the butler changed simultaneously.

Especially Mu Beiting, whose face turned entirely grim, darker than a pot’s bottom, his entire being seemed shrouded in gloom.

Seeing Mu Beiting not only showing no joy but even a terrifyingly grim expression, Xiao Bai and the butler exchanged glances, both silent, not daring to breathe loudly.

As someone who had lived more than half a lifetime, the butler naturally could understand why Mu Beiting looked so grim!

The madam and sir had been apart for five years, and during these five years, they hadn’t shared a bed, so how could the madam be pregnant?

Unless... unless the child the madam is carrying isn’t the sir’s but another man’s!

That’s why the sir is so angry!

The butler understood this connection, but Xiao Bai was only five, and although more mature and understanding than his peers, he was still quite clueless about matters between men and women!

He didn’t understand why his mother’s pregnancy, which should be a joyful matter, instead caused his father not only not to be happy but also very angry.

After the conversation with Mu Beiting, the doctor and medical staff pushed Ye Anxin into the ward.

Mu Beiting followed closely, grim-faced!

Xiao Bai and the butler followed Mu Beiting.

After settling Ye Anxin in the ward, the doctor gave a few brief instructions and left with the medical staff.

Mu Beiting stood by the bedside, staring coldly at Ye Anxin’s unconscious face, clenching his jaw, and his hands clenched into fists!

Only by doing so could he suppress the impulse to strangle her.

”Butler, take the young master back!” Even as he spoke, Mu Beiting’s gaze never left Ye Anxin’s face.

Xiao Bai pouted, unwilling, ”Dad, I want to wait until she wakes up before leaving!”

Mu Beiting didn’t look back, coldly saying, ”Go back!”

Xiao Bai opened his mouth, wanting to say more, but was pulled away by the butler.

The butler gently shook his head at Xiao Bai, softly saying, ”Young master, since the madam is not in any serious trouble, let’s go back! Let Mr. Mu be here to take care of the madam! Don’t worry, Mr. Mu will take good care of her! We can come back to visit her later, alright?”

Xiao Bai took a reluctant glance at Ye Anxin in bed, then at Mu Beiting. Although unwilling to be separated from Ye Anxin, he nodded begrudgingly and left with the butler.

Even after the butler and Xiao Bai had left, Mu Beiting didn’t glance at them; he just coldly stared at Ye Anxin, the pain in his eyes difficult to conceal.
