Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 425: Chapter 426: Changed Tastes?

Seeing Ye Anxin’s indecisive look, Li Qingyang smiled and said, ”I’m not asking you to answer now, go back and think it over! Once you’ve figured it out, sit down and have a good talk with Brother Tang! Honestly, I can’t stand seeing him look so affectionate! Haven’t you noticed, every time he gazes at you, his eyes are so tender they could drip water!”

With Li Qingyang’s words, Ye Anxin felt even worse inside, ”Mm! I will go back and think it through carefully!”

Just at this moment, the waiter brought the food they ordered! Li Qingyang pushed a bowl of rice in front of Ye Anxin, smiling broadly, ”Alright, I’ve said what I wanted to say, let’s eat!”

”Mm!” Ye Anxin nodded, picking up the bowl and chopsticks to start eating.

However, after the conversation with Li Qingyang, she couldn’t eat a thing! The dishes she used to love tasted strange on her tongue!

Seeing Ye Anxin looking absent-minded and uninterested in food, Li Qingyang smiled and tapped her forehead, ”Don’t take my words to heart, eat when it’s time to eat! Many things can’t be solved just by thinking a lot! You have to see what your own heart desires! Don’t space out, eat first, eat more!” Saying this, he started piling the dishes Anxin ordered into her bowl.

Ye Anxin glanced at her, said thank you, and continued eating silently with her head down.

Although Li Qingyang said that, some things can’t just be forgotten as soon as you want! Right now her mind was filled with thoughts of how to resolve things between her and Professor Su!

If she speaks too harshly, she’s afraid of hurting him! After all, over these five years, his significance to her surpassed friendship, he was like family!

But if she accepts his feelings, she feels she would be doing him a disservice! Because her heart will always belong to another man! It wouldn’t be fair to him!

Seeing Ye Anxin’s worried expression, Li Qingyang sighed inwardly and stayed silent, just focusing on eating.

As a woman, how could she not understand, if it were real love, there wouldn’t be this much conflict!

It’s precisely because of the conflict, the indecisiveness, that the food tastes bland and the choice seems impossible!

It appears Brother Tang is destined not to be with Ye Anxin!

And so, in an awkward atmosphere, the meal was finished!

Worried that Ye Anxin, being so absent-minded, might get into trouble on the way, Li Qingyang specifically drove Ye Anxin back to her dormitory.

After returning to the dormitory, Ye Anxin curled up on the sofa, hugging a pillow, and continued to seriously ponder over her situation with Su Yichen.

After an afternoon of thinking, she finally made up her mind!

She couldn’t hold up Su Yichen, such a good man deserved a better woman to love and cherish him!

Even if she stayed with him out of gratitude, that wouldn’t be love, and it wouldn’t be fair to him!

She must clearly explain everything to Su Yichen!

Maybe he’d be hurt initially, but later, when he meets a woman who truly cares for him, he would be thankful for her rejection.

After making up her mind, Ye Anxin immediately called Su Yichen!

The call was answered after two rings, and Su Yichen’s gentle voice came through, ”Anxin! I was just about to call you to invite you for dinner! Didn’t expect you’d call first! What’s up? Want to invite me to dinner?”

Hearing Su Yichen’s familiar voice, Ye Anxin’s throat tightened, and she said somewhat bitterly, ”Yes! Professor Su, where are you now?”

”I’m at the company! I had some things unfinished yesterday, so I’m working overtime today!” He said, lifting his wrist to check the time on his watch, and continued, ”It’s four o’clock now, see you at five-thirty at the usual place!”

The ”usual place” Su Yichen mentioned was the little restaurant next to Ye Anxin’s dormitory!

Though they had dinner at other places too, when it was just the two of them, more often than not, they dined at this little restaurant!

Both of them once lived among the most ordinary people, and although he lived a privileged life now, the days worth reminiscing were those past days!

So, they both liked eating at that home-cooked style restaurant! It was comfortable there.

”Alright! See you at five-thirty, at the usual place!” Ye Anxin nodded and hung up after saying goodbye to Su Yichen!

After hanging up, Ye Anxin sat blankly on the sofa, waiting.

Finally, when it was five-thirty, Ye Anxin got up hurriedly from the sofa, but before she could steady herself, everything went black, and her body wobbled and collapsed back onto the sofa!

Ye Anxin touched her forehead, closed her eyes intending to rest for a moment before going out!

However, not only did her head feel dizzy, but her **** felt stuffy too, wanting to vomit but unable to!

All day today had been fine, yesterday was fine too! Why did she suddenly feel dizzy, with blurred vision and a body devoid of energy?

Was it because she had thought too much this afternoon, leading to mental fatigue?

Ye Anxin knocked her head hard, slowly opened her eyes, and supported herself to stand up from the sofa, walking step by step to the washroom and splashing cold water on her face.

When her face touched the cold water, she finally felt more awake!

To be able to go out, Ye Anxin even submerged her entire face in cold water! After a while, she lifted her head from the water.

After such a soak, Ye Anxin felt much more comfortable, her chest didn’t feel tight, and her head wasn’t as dizzy!

After getting everything adjusted, she donned her backpack, changed her shoes, and went out!

When she arrived at the appointed little restaurant, Su Yichen hadn’t arrived yet!

Ye Anxin sat down and waited patiently!

After waiting for about half an hour, Su Yichen finally arrived!

Sitting down opposite Ye Anxin, Su Yichen apologetically said, ”Sorry, sorry! Something came up at the company, and my phone ran out of battery, couldn’t even call you! I was so worried you’d have left by the time I got here!”

Ye Anxin smiled and nonchalantly said, ”It’s okay, I know that unless something special happens, you wouldn’t stand me up.”

”I knew you’d be the most understanding!” Su Yichen grinned, picked up the menu on the table, and while browsing it, asked, ”Have you ordered? What would you like to eat?”

Ye Anxin shook her head, ”Not yet! I was waiting for you to order together!”

”Ladies first, you order first!” he said, handing the menu to Ye Anxin!

Ye Anxin didn’t hesitate, reaching out to take the menu and scanning through the dishes. When she saw the picture of sweet and sour spare ribs, she couldn’t help swallowing and said to the waiter, ”Waiter, I’d like an order of sweet and sour spare ribs, fish-flavored pork, and cola chicken wings, please!”

Hearing the dishes Ye Anxin named, Su Yichen was stunned and asked puzzledly, ”Anxin, since when did you change your taste? Didn’t you always hate dishes that were both sweet and salty? Why did you order these today?”
