Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 428: Chapter 429: He Is a Good Man

Su Yichen remained quiet, carefully watching over the bedside! He meticulously observed Ye Anxin’s condition!

No one knew how much time had passed. As Ye Anxin, who had been quietly sleeping on the hospital bed, let out a soft murmur, her long and thick eyelashes fluttered.

Noticing her expression, Su Yichen hurriedly grasped her hand that wasn’t hooked up to an IV, anxiously asking, ”Anxin, are you waking up? How are you feeling right now? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

Responding to Su Yichen’s call, Ye Anxin slowly opened her eyes, and the first thing she saw was the white ceiling.

Staring at the ceiling, a hint of confusion flashed across Ye Anxin’s eyes, and she couldn’t help but frown.

Seeing her frown, Su Yichen immediately stood up, leaned in to check her condition, and said, ”Anxin, do you feel uncomfortable? I’ll go call the doctor!” Saying this, he prepared to press the red button above the bedside.

But before his hand could touch it, Ye Anxin spoke with a hoarse voice, ”Professor Su, where am I? Is this a hospital?”

Hearing her speak, Su Yichen withdrew his hand, nodded, and softly said, ”Yes! This is the hospital. You fainted when I delivered you to the dormitory building just now! How do you feel now? Is there anywhere uncomfortable? Do you need me to call the doctor?”

Ye Anxin instinctively shook her head, starting to seriously recall what happened before she fainted.

She remembered that after clarifying things with Professor Su, he took her back to the dormitory!

After reaching the dormitory building, Professor Su left!

Then she was about to enter the hallway! But, she had barely taken two steps when everything went dark, her body went limp, and she fell unconscious to the ground.

She had been feeling fine the past few days, so why did she suddenly faint?

Could it be that eating too much instant noodles lately without proper nutrition caused her to faint from malnutrition?

Ye Anxin used her hand, which wasn’t hooked up to an IV, to press her forehead, closed her eyes, and said with some discomfort, ”Professor Su, I want some water.”

”Okay! Wait a moment, I’ll get you some!” Su Yichen nodded and quickly stood up to pour a cup of water for her from the bedside table.

”I’ll help you sit up.” After pouring the water, Su Yichen assisted Ye Anxin to sit up, leaning her against the headboard, using a pillow to support her back. Then, he held her with one hand and brought the teacup from the bedside table with the other, handing it to her.

Ye Anxin took the teacup he handed over and carefully drank the hot water inside!

After finishing the cup of water, she immediately felt considerably more comfortable! Although her head was still spinning, her thoughts were much clearer than before.

Ye Anxin handed the empty cup back to Su Yichen’s hand, and asked in confusion, ”Professor Su, how did I faint all of a sudden? What did the doctor say?”

Su Yichen lowered his head, placed the teacup back on the bedside table, and remained silent, uncertain of how to respond.

Seeing him not speaking, Ye Anxin raised an eyebrow, her confusion deepening, ”What’s wrong? Is there something you can’t tell me?”

Su Yichen pursed his lips and, after a moment of silence, struggled to say, ”The doctor said you’re over a month pregnant!”

”What?” Upon hearing this news, Ye Anxin felt her head buzzing, left completely blank!

She’s pregnant? How did she become pregnant?

Could it be that it was because of that night with Mu Beiting in Jiangcheng that she became pregnant?

Is she pregnant with Mu Beiting’s child again?

Su Yichen looked at Ye Anxin’s shocked face and tentatively asked, ”Anxin, whose child is this? Is it Mu Beiting’s?”

Ye Anxin, still overwhelmed by the sudden news, didn’t hear what Su Yichen was saying!

Her mind was filled with just one thought!

She’s pregnant! Pregnant! Pregnant with Mu Beiting’s child again!

Seeing Ye Anxin dazed and silent, Su Yichen anxiously nudged her arm, ”Anxin, Anxin, what’s the matter with you?”

His nudge suddenly brought Ye Anxin back to her senses, and she lightly shook her head, her already pale face appearing even paler!

”Anxin...!” Su Yichen called her name again, wanting to ask clearly, but seeing her so pale, couldn’t bear to continue questioning, thus pursed his lips and swallowed all the words back.

Ye Anxin expressionlessly said, ”I’m tired, I want to rest! Professor Su, you can go back first! I’m fine now, there’s no need for someone to take care of me!”

Su Yichen shook his head and sincerely said, ”If you’re tired, just rest! I’ll watch over you! Your situation is special now, there must be someone by your side! Otherwise, if something happens, it’s not just your issue!”

Feeling that his words made sense, Ye Anxin stopped arguing, gently nodded, and let Su Yichen help her lie back down on the bed!

”Thank you!” After sincerely expressing her gratitude, Ye Anxin closed her eyes!

On the surface, it seemed like she wanted to sleep, but in reality, she wished to temporarily isolate herself!

Because right now, her heart is really in turmoil, and she doesn’t know what to do!

How could Su Yichen not understand her thoughts!

She had just awakened from unconsciousness, how could she be tired!

He knew she surely couldn’t digest the news at once!

In that case, this child must be an accident! She wasn’t prepared at all!

Alas!

Su Yichen sighed inwardly, didn’t say anything or do anything, just sat there by the hospital bed, watching Ye Anxin’s every move.

He knew that in the beginning, Ye Anxin wasn’t asleep; she was just keeping her eyes closed, pretending to sleep!

But in the latter half of the night, she really fell asleep!

However, she seemed to sleep restlessly, mumbling indistinctly in her sleep the entire time! He tried to listen, but found he couldn’t make out what she was saying!

Out of options, Su Yichen could only sit by the bed, hold her hand, hoping to transmit his strength to her.

After enduring a night of torment, they finally welcomed the sunlight of the next day.

After sleeping in a stupor for a whole night, Ye Anxin slowly awoke!

When she opened her eyes for the first time, she saw Su Yichen holding her hand with both of his, his forehead resting on the back of her hand, eyes closed, resting!

This scene made Ye Anxin’s eyes involuntarily heat up.

No matter where or when, no matter how she rejected him, he unconditionally stayed by her side, taking care of her!

Even knowing she’s pregnant, he wasn’t angry, didn’t question, only silently accompanied her!

He truly is a good man!

If she hadn’t met Mu Beiting in her life, she would certainly have fallen in love with him, accepting his feelings!

Unfortunately, in this world, there are no ”ifs” in matters of life! They can never return to the past!

Seemingly sensing Ye Anxin’s gaze, Su Yichen moved his head slightly, sleepily raising it, initially planning just to take a look. But when he saw Ye Anxin staring wide-eyed at him, his eyes instantly sparkled.
