Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 412: Chapter 413: Something Happened?

”Huff... Huff...!” Ye Anxin sat on the bed, gasping for breath, sweat as big as beans sliding down her forehead like raindrops.

This dream felt so real, as if it replayed the scene from last night!

Why... Why would she have this dream?

Why?

Could it be that deep down inside, she hasn’t fully erased Mu Beiting from her heart?

No... She absolutely can’t let this happen!

Forget, forget, she must forget!

She absolutely can’t have any feelings for Mu Beiting anymore, nor have any hope for him!

Otherwise, the only one hurt will be herself!

Thinking of this, Ye Anxin forcefully knocked on her head, hoping to quickly erase all the undesired images from her mind.

After her mind cleared a bit, Ye Anxin looked out the window, the pitch-black night sky studded with stars!

Ye Anxin got out of bed barefoot, walked to the bedside, and leaned against it, looking out at the street scene!

At this moment, there was not a single person on the street, only the lonely streetlights and the branches swaying in the wind!

Ye Anxin sighed, fumbled in the dark to the desk, poured herself a glass of cold water, then went to the bathroom and washed her face, finally feeling much clearer!

After washing her face, she drank another glass of cold water before returning to the bed to rest!

Ye Anxin thought that after what had happened in Jiangcheng, she and Mu Beiting could have no entanglements, and they both would have no further interaction.

However, a month later, she received a call from the housekeeper, saying that Mu Beiting went on a business trip, and she could see Xiao Bai again!

Hearing this news, she immediately became excited!

She packed all the toys she had scattered and bought for Xiao Bai over the past month into a suitcase, carried a backpack, and boarded a flight to Jin City with the suitcase!

After getting off the plane, the first thing Ye Anxin did was to mail the suitcase to the Mu Family Villa, hoping the housekeeper could deliver the gifts she prepared to Xiao Bai!

For the past five years, every time she went shopping, she would buy toys for Xiao Bai, never once repeating!

After buying toys, Ye Anxin would find a box to store them, slowly accumulating until she could see Xiao Bai, then send the full box of toys to the housekeeper, who would then hand them over to Xiao Bai!

This time, as usual, they arranged to meet at KFC!

However, Ye Anxin waited for a long time, and not only did she not see Xiao Bai, but she didn’t even get a phone call.

Two hours after the appointed time, Ye Anxin had no choice but to call the housekeeper.

The call connected, but no one answered!

The more this happened, the more anxious Ye Anxin became! After dialing three calls with no answer, Ye Anxin couldn’t sit still any longer, stood up directly, left KFC, hailed a taxi, and headed straight for the Mu Family Villa!

She knew, based on the housekeeper’s character, he would never be so uncommunicative!

Something major must have happened! So, she had to go see it immediately to make sure Xiao Bai and the housekeeper were both alright!

The taxi drove all the way to the Mu Family Villa, and Ye Anxin hurriedly got out of the car, went straight to the front, and rang the doorbell without thinking.

The maid who was sweeping the yard heard the doorbell, hurried over to open the door! When she saw Ye Anxin outside, she froze a bit, ”Ma’am... Ma’am...!”

Ye Anxin stretched her neck to look inside, anxiously asking, ”Where is the young master? Where’s the housekeeper? Are they home?”

The maid nodded blankly, ”At home!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin finally breathed a sigh of relief, but after listening to the maid’s next sentence, her heart leapt again, ”When the housekeeper was preparing to take the young master out, the young master suddenly fainted at the door! He hasn’t woken up yet!”

Upon hearing the maid’s words, Ye Anxin felt her vision go black, her legs softened, and her body staggered two steps backward, almost fainting.

The maid quickly caught her and asked with concern, ”Ma’am, are you okay?”

”I want to see Xiao Bai, I want to see him!” Ye Anxin couldn’t care much, nor did she care that this was the house she avoided as much as possible, and she directly pushed past the maid and rushed inside!

The maid didn’t dare to stop her, and simply let her in!

After entering the villa, Ye Anxin grabbed a maid and anxiously asked, ”Where is the young master now? Which room is he in?”

The maid looked at Ye Anxin, was stunned at first, then answered truthfully, ”The young master is in the second room on the right on the second floor!”

Ye Anxin let go of the maid and sprinted upstairs!

When she reached outside Xiao Bai’s room, with trembling hands, she placed her hand on the door’s edge, gently pressed down, and slowly pushed the door open!

In the room, Xiao Bai lay on the bed with a pale face, the housekeeper was anxiously standing by his side, and the family doctor was preparing medication, getting ready to give Xiao Bai an IV injection.

Seeing that Xiao Bai was so sick that he needed injections, Ye Anxin couldn’t stay calm, rushed to the housekeeper’s side, and asked in a low voice, ”Housekeeper, what happened to Xiao Bai?”

Upon hearing Ye Anxin’s voice, the housekeeper was momentarily stunned, turned around, and when seeing it was indeed Ye Anxin, a trace of obvious surprise flashed in his eyes, ”Ma’am, you... Why are you here?”

Ye Anxin’s gaze remained fixed on Xiao Bai on the bed as she explained, ”It’s been two hours past the agreed time, I saw you all hadn’t come, called but no one answered, I was worried, so I came to see! How is Xiao Bai? Why did he faint?”

Hearing this, the housekeeper habitually touched his pants pocket, smiled apologetically, ”Ma’am, I’m sorry, the situation was sudden, I couldn’t stop thinking about the young master and forgot my phone!”

”It’s alright! I’m just worried about Xiao Bai! Out of nowhere, why did he suddenly faint!” Saying this, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but lean beside the bed, gently holding Xiao Bai’s hand on the edge, softly brushing it against his cheek!

The housekeeper quickly comforted, ”Don’t worry, ma’am, the young master will be fine! The doctor said it’s a heat-induced cold, he’ll be fine after a couple of shots!”

”So pitiful, there’s not a hint of color on his face! Knowing this, I shouldn’t have let him go out earlier!” Ye Anxin gently stroked Xiao Bai’s smooth, fair face, her eyes unknowingly reddening!

She knew that a heat-induced cold wasn’t a sudden occurrence, the germs must have been lingering in his body for a while!

It’s just that Xiao Bai had been enduring before but couldn’t hold on anymore, so he fainted!

Such a young child, sick, without his parents by his side, only the housekeeper and the maids!

Thinking of this, tears unknowingly streamed from Ye Anxin’s eyes!

It’s her, she failed her son, she didn’t fulfill her duty as a mother! She’s not fit to be a mother!

Ye Anxin sniffled, choked with sobs, ”Housekeeper, I want to stay and take care of him! Until he recovers!”
