Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 448: Chapter 491: Insanity

The sudden scare made Ye Anxin jump and turn around abruptly. When she saw who was behind her, all the blood rushed to her head, leaving her standing there, stunned and speechless.

This person? Isn’t this Su Yuexin’s mother?

Although they had only met a few times, she remembered her sharp and mean demeanor very clearly.

But seeing her today made her somewhat unable to believe her eyes!

This... Is this still the same Su mother from five years ago, proud and full of spirits?

In the past, no matter when, Su mother always had that superior, disdainful look!

Today, what’s happening...

Ye Anxin couldn’t help but scrutinize Su mother from head to toe.

The always lavishly dressed Su mother was now not only in old, faded clothes, but her previously neatly combed hair was just casually tied, with stray locks falling messily.

Her eyes were evasive, her whole face haggard beyond words, with no hint of color.

Ye Anxin stared at Su mother, eyes wide, incredulous, and asked, ”What’s happened to you? What are you doing?”

Under Ye Anxin’s shocked gaze, Su mother suddenly knelt in front of her, clutching Ye Anxin’s hands tightly, and began to cry, sobbing, ”Ye Anxin, I beg you, please, spare Yuexin! She’s innocent, she was just used! Please, help me plead with Mu Beiting to release Yuexin from prison! She’s my only daughter, she’s mentally broken, she really can’t stay in prison any longer!”

Although Su mother’s appearance was pitiful and Ye Anxin felt some sympathy, thinking about all that Su Yuexin had done to her, she hardened her heart and said sternly, ”It’s no use begging me! Everyone should pay for their actions! Back then, when Yuexin repeatedly hurt me, when she caused my child to die, did she ever think about this outcome?”

Seeing Ye Anxin refuse, Su mother refused to give up, holding onto Ye Anxin’s arm, continuing to plead bitterly, ”No... there must be a way! You are the woman Mu Beiting loves most, he will listen to anything you say, as long as you ask, he will agree! Ye Anxin, I’m begging you, help me, have Mu Beiting release Yuexin!”

Ye Anxin maintained a cold face, her stance firm, ”I told you just now, everyone must pay the price for their actions. When Su Yuexin committed all those bad deeds, she should have expected the consequences! Even if she was instigated by someone, if she had no evil intentions, no matter how others provoked her, it wouldn’t matter! Ultimately, it was her own bad heart that led to today’s situation! Instead of begging me to spare her, you might as well advise her to reform while in prison, and maybe she can start anew after coming out!”

Su mother lowered her head, shaking it constantly, muttering, ”No chance, there’s really no chance! Yuexin will never have a chance in this life!”

Watching Su mother’s erratic behavior, Ye Anxin felt puzzled, slightly furrowing her brows!

What does no chance mean? No chance in this life? What happened to Su Yuexin?

If she could reform after coming out of prison, wouldn’t everything be fine? Why say she has no chance in this life? What does that mean?

But, it was only a fleeting thought, as Ye Anxin quickly shook her head vigorously, freeing her hand from Su mother’s grip, and said seriously, ”I really can’t do anything about your request! If I pity her and sympathize with her, then who would pity and sympathize with me? My child was killed by her, I was forced to leave my home and son for five whole years because of her! I, Ye Anxin, am no saint, and I can’t repay evil with kindness!” After finishing her words, Ye Anxin turned and left without looking back.

Su mother lowered her head, her messy hair hanging by her ears, her eyes unfocused, her mouth moving, mumbling unintelligibly.

Ye Anxin didn’t want to deal with her, her eyes scanning for a place to sit and rest while waiting for Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai.

Just as Ye Anxin was searching for a bench, Su mother, sitting slumped on the ground, pulled a fruit knife out of her clothes, slowly lifted her head, glaring viciously at Ye Anxin’s back, teeth clenched, eyes fierce with malice.

Ye Anxin was oblivious, only seeing a bench by the haunted house, smiling broadly as she walked towards it.

Seeing Ye Anxin unaware, Su mother stood up from the ground, shouting loudly, wielding the fruit knife, and charged at Ye Anxin.

Ye Anxin turned her head at the sound, and when she saw Su mother with a fruit knife, pushing through the crowd towards her, she shivered in fear, wanting to dodge, but Su mother was already upon her.

”Ye Anxin, since you won’t let me have peace, since you won’t spare Su Yuexin, then I won’t spare you either! After all, I have nothing left, I will drag you down with me!” Su mother shouted viciously, brandishing the fruit knife towards Ye Anxin’s heart.

Ye Anxin’s eyes widened, acting on instinct; as the knife came at her, she dodged to the side, avoiding the stab to her heart, but her arm was not so lucky, a long gash opened up.

Holding her injured arm, Ye Anxin backed away, yelling fiercely, ”What are you doing? Are you crazy?”

”Yes, I’ve gone mad, you all drove me insane! My precious daughter, you’ve turned her into neither human nor ghost! Living a life worse than death in prison every day! I begged you, but you wouldn’t agree to spare her! So I might as well drag you down with me! If I can’t have peace, neither will you; I want you to bury her happiness that you stole!” Su mother laughed madly, brandishing the fruit knife, crazily stabbing at Ye Anxin.

Terrified by Su mother’s manic demeanor, Ye Anxin dared not say a word as Su mother stabbed wildly, only running desperately forward.

The amusement park was crowded, and with each step, she bumped into someone!

But they all just stood aside, coldly watching everything unfold, no one daring to help!

Even if occasionally someone couldn’t stand it and wanted to help, their companion would pull them back!

Everyone saw the fruit knife in Su mother’s hand and her crazy look, none dared to make a sound, and when she ran close, they all kept their distance, afraid of getting hurt.
