Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 446: Chapter 489: A Family of Three

Ye Anxin was truly frightened by their lineup and stood at the door with an embarrassed blush, ”No... Butler, you don’t have to do this! It makes me feel terribly awkward!”

The butler’s eyes were red with excitement as he said emotionally, ”Madam rarely returns, this is only right! You don’t know how much joy was missing in the home without you over these five years! Now, it finally feels like a normal home again!”

Hearing the butler’s words, Ye Anxin’s face turned even redder.

Xiao Bai stood beside the butler, chin raised high, with a proud expression!

Ye Anxin shifted her gaze to Xiao Bai, squatted down, and lovingly stroked Xiao Bai’s hair, speaking gently, ”Xiao Bai, it was Mom’s fault before. Mom is sorry for you. During these five years, I wasn’t by your side to watch you grow! Please don’t blame Mom, forgive Mom, okay?”

She’s wanted to say these words to Xiao Bai for the past five years!

However, she always felt unqualified to say them, and later, after reconciling with Uncle, she always wanted to find a chance to say them to her!

But every time she just started to open her mouth, Uncle would have the butler take Xiao Bai away!

As a result, she never had the chance to sit down and have a proper talk with Xiao Bai!

Hearing Ye Anxin’s words, Xiao Bai’s face reddened and awkwardly turned away from Ye Anxin.

”Xiao Bai, how about Mom holds your hand and we go inside?” Ye Anxin proactively took Xiao Bai’s hand and led her inside.

Xiao Bai moved a bit, wanting to pull her hand away from Ye Anxin’s grip, but instead of letting go, Ye Anxin held even tighter.

Realizing she couldn’t break free, Xiao Bai stopped struggling and obediently let Ye Anxin take her inside!

After entering, the butler immediately instructed people to bring out the prepared dishes. While the servants were carrying the dishes, Ye Anxin sat shoulder to shoulder on the sofa with Xiao Bai, hand in hand. She didn’t look back at Mu Beiting once, couldn’t have said a word to him!

Mu Beiting followed behind Ye Anxin like a little bear, a completely ignored person.

Ye Anxin sat beside Xiao Bai, looking for random topics and asking about her well-being.

Although Xiao Bai maintained a proud expression from beginning to end, she still responded simply to Ye Anxin’s words, even if it was just an ”Hmm” or ”Ah”! Ye Anxin felt completely satisfied.

Ye Anxin patted Xiao Bai’s head, gently saying, ”Xiao Bai, Mom has to go to Han City tomorrow. Be good at home, at the earliest I’ll be back in a day, at the latest three days, Mom will definitely return!”

Xiao Bai frowned with displeasure, ”Why are you going to Han City?”

Ye Anxin softly replied, ”Mom has some matters to handle in Han City! Mom’s job is also there, and resigning requires procedures and handling. Mom has to be responsible for the students, can’t be a careless teacher!”

Xiao Bai’s frown deepened, ”I want to go too!”

”No way!” This time the reply wasn’t from Ye Anxin, but Mu Beiting!

Xiao Bai said unhappily, ”Why not?”

Mu Beiting said domineeringly, ”No reason! Stay at home for these few days, I’ll accompany your mom!”

Xiao Bai looked at Mu Beiting, asking with anticipation, ”Will you bring her back safely?”

Listening to his words, Ye Anxin suddenly felt her nose tingle, and her eyes grew red.

She knew it was precisely because she hasn’t been by Xiao Bai’s side for these five years that Xiao Bai feels so anxious!

She isn’t a good mom, even less a good mother!

She owes far too much to Xiao Bai!

Ye Anxin choked up, ”Xiao Bai, rest assured, since Mom promised to return, she’ll definitely come back! Mom won’t leave you alone anymore!”

”Pinky promise!” Saying this, Xiao Bai stretched out her right hand and offered her pinky to Ye Anxin.

Ye Anxin smiled thinly and made the pinky promise with Xiao Bai.

At that moment, the butler walked out from the kitchen, smiling respectfully, ”Madam, sir, young master, the dishes are ready, you can eat now!”

”Xiao Bai, let’s go have some food!” Ye Anxin, holding Xiao Bai’s hand, stood up together with her, hand in hand, and walked to the dining table to sit down.

Mu Beiting still sat at his main seat, Xiao Bai sat on his left side, Ye Anxin sat beside Xiao Bai.

Noticing their seating arrangement, Mu Beiting slightly furrowed his brows, stating expressionlessly, ”Xiao Bai, there’s an order of seniority!”

Xiao Bai glanced at Ye Anxin, then looked at herself, immediately understood, and quickly stood up to give way.

Ye Anxin didn’t move over but pressed Xiao Bai back onto the chair, smiling cheerfully, ”Oh, it doesn’t matter! We’re all family, it doesn’t matter who sits where! As long as we’re happy!”

Xiao Bai looked up at Mu Beiting, saw that his facial expression was still not very pleased, and tried to stand up again.

Unfortunately, Ye Anxin pressed on his shoulder, and he couldn’t stand up.

Ye Anxin pointed at the white rice on the table, smiling, ”Uncle, eat, Xiao Bai, eat! After finishing, let’s go out and play! Staying in the hospital for a week was so boring!”

Mu Beiting asked softly, ”Where to?”

Ye Anxin gently looked at Xiao Bai, ”Eat first! We’ll see after we finish! We’ll take Xiao Bai to places where children should play! In the past five years, I haven’t been there to watch him grow, I just hope I can accompany him in the days to come!”

His face flushed with warmth after hearing her gentle words and sentimental gaze, Xiao Bai’s face instantly turned rosy, and to hide his embarrassment, he quickly lowered his head and stuffed his mouth with rice.

”Okay!” Mu Beiting nodded, picked up his bowl and chopsticks, and began eating slowly.

The three of them finished lunch and each went upstairs to change into leisure sports clothes, and the family of three got into the car.

In the car, Xiao Bai sat in the middle, Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin sat beside him!

After Ye Anxin settled in, she beamed at the driver, saying, ”Driver, to the amusement park!”

Upon hearing ”amusement park,” both Mu Beiting and Xiao Bai furrowed their brows simultaneously.

Ye Anxin mischievously smiled as she noticed their expressions, patted Xiao Bai’s head, and whispered softly, ”Xiao Bai, you’re only five years old now, your innocence should be like other kids, in an amusement park! Mom hasn’t taken you once in five years, today mom is going to accompany you, is that okay?”

Xiao Bai refused outright without thinking, ”No! That’s a place for childish people! I hate it there, too noisy!”

In response, Ye Anxin’s smile deepened, ”Then why not consider it as accompanying Mom, would that be alright? Mom has never been to an amusement park her whole life, her biggest wish is to have someone accompany her there for a fun day! Would you complete this wish for Mom?”

Listening to her words, Xiao Bai pondered downward for a moment, reluctantly nodded and agreed!

”Xiao Bai is so sweet, Mom likes you best!” Ye Anxin mischievously smiled and secretly winked at Mu Beiting.
