Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 414: Chapter 415: You Finally Decided to Come Back?

Ye Anxin choked back her sobs, thought for a moment, and still couldn’t reveal her identity!

After all, it’s impossible for her and Mu Beiting. If she revealed her identity, it would only make her son hate her! Rather than have him hate her, she’d rather be a stranger! This way, she’d feel slightly better!

Seeing Ye Anxin standing there in silence, Xiao Bai’s expression grew colder, firmly spitting out two words, ”Get out!”

Ye Anxin walked to the bedside and pleaded, ”Xiao Bai, I’m the caretaker hired to look after you closely! The housekeeper said if your condition doesn’t improve, I can’t leave! Please let me stay and take care of you! Don’t worry, I will do my best to meet all your needs!”

”No! Get out!” Xiao Bai turned away, showing the back of his head to Anxin, refusing to look at her.

”Xiao Bai...!” Ye Anxin started to say something more, but just then, the door was suddenly pushed open from the outside!

As the door opened, Ye Anxin immediately felt overwhelmed by a powerful presence!

Ye Anxin was startled, shivering involuntarily, and quickly turned around to see Mu Beiting standing at the door, his face ashen.

Looking at Mu Beiting, Ye Anxin incredulously asked, ”You... How did you come back?”

Mu Beiting gave her a faint glance, then walked past her to sit by the bed.

Feeling his presence, Xiao Bai turned his head. The moment he saw Mu Beiting, his eyes reddened as he choked out, ”Dad!”

Mu Beiting extended his large hand to feel Xiao Bai’s forehead for temperature, expressionlessly asking, ”How are you feeling now? A bit better? Is there anywhere else that feels uncomfortable?”

Xiao Bai truthfully replied, ”I feel dizzy and weak all over!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting’s brows furrowed tightly as he called out to the door, ”Come in now!”

With Mu Beiting’s words, the family doctor and housekeeper walked in from outside!

The housekeeper shot Ye Anxin an apologetic glance upon seeing her!

With just one look, Ye Anxin knew that the housekeeper must have known about Mu Beiting’s return all along, but for some reason deliberately kept it from her!

Without even looking at Ye Anxin, Mu Beiting instructed the family doctor, ”Quickly come over and check the young master!”

”Yes!” The doctor nodded, walked to the bedside, and conducted a series of meticulous examinations on Xiao Bai!

While the doctor was examining Xiao Bai, Ye Anxin stood there nervously, her gaze following the doctor, watching every step fearfully, worried that there might be other problems with Xiao Bai’s health!

Finally, after finishing a series of examinations on Xiao Bai, the doctor said, ”Other than having a mild fever, the young master is fine. Once the medication is fully administered, the fever should subside. No need to worry, sir!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Beiting rested his large hand on Xiao Bai’s forehead for a moment before nodding and saying, ”Alright! I understand! You may go now!”

”Then I’ll take my leave! Call me immediately if the young master needs anything; I’ll be downstairs!” The doctor cautiously advised before turning to leave.

”Dad, I’m still feeling uncomfortable! It hurts here!” Xiao Bai looked at Mu Beiting pitifully, touching the left side of his chest with his small hand.

His words frightened Ye Anxin greatly. She hurriedly stepped over, saying anxiously, ”How can it be uncomfortable here? How does it feel? Is it tight, or painful? I’ll get the doctor to check!” Saying this, Ye Anxin turned to leave, only to hear Mu Beiting’s indulgent voice say, ”You little rascal, you’re throwing a tantrum again! Rest well and don’t overthink! Who do you blame for feeling bad here? If you felt unwell earlier, why didn’t you tell me? If you had, I wouldn’t have gone on a business trip! Now you’re ill and suffering, aren’t you? You brought this upon yourself!”

Having been with Mu Beiting for over a year, Ye Anxin had never seen him speak so gently and patiently!

Ye Anxin turned around, looking at Mu Beiting in disbelief, for a moment wondering if she was hallucinating!

Listening to Mu Beiting’s reproachful words, Xiao Bai pouted, aggrieved, and said, ”I’m sick, Dad, and you’re still blaming me? I just didn’t want you to worry! How could I know it would become so serious!”

”Silly child!” Mu Beiting lightly flicked his straight little nose, then touched his smooth little face, gently saying, ”Close your eyes and have a good rest! I’ll stay by your side!”

”You promised! No backing out!” Saying this, Xiao Bai extended his little finger towards Mu Beiting.

Mu Beiting hooked his pinky finger and linked it with his.

Only then did Xiao Bai relax and smile! Before closing his eyes, he couldn’t help but take another glance at Ye Anxin!

Even if it was just a glance, it contained a multitude of emotions!

Anger, blame, reluctance... In short, it was a mixture of emotions, containing everything!

”Good boy, sleep!” Mu Beiting watched Xiao Bai, reaching out to touch his eyes, gently closing them.

Xiao Bai listened obediently, and indeed he was sick, weak, and dizzy, with heavy eyelids that wanted nothing more than to sleep.

Once Xiao Bai had closed his eyes, Mu Beiting did not leave; he just sat by the bed, watching him.

Though unwilling to share a room with Mu Beiting, Ye Anxin couldn’t bear to leave Xiao Bai, standing quietly in the room, watching him sleep.

The housekeeper stood aside, looked at Mu Beiting, then at Ye Anxin, and finally fixed his gaze on Xiao Bai for a moment before silently leaving!

After the housekeeper left, the room was immediately left with just Xiao Bai, Mu Beiting, and Ye Anxin.

Xiao Bai soon fell into a deep sleep after closing his eyes, due to the cold, even his breathing sounded heavy.

Standing there hesitantly for a while, Ye Anxin finally moved step by step towards the bed.

Initially, she only wanted to quietly stand by the bed and watch over her son! But just as she got close to the bed, her wrist was suddenly gripped tightly, and she was pulled strongly to the side.

She took a sharp intake of breath, and before she could cry out, her delicate chin was pinched by a pair of large hands.

Looking at the handsome face so close to her, Ye Anxin’s heart tightened, and she quickly asked, ”What... what are you doing?”

Mu Beiting’s lips curved into a tight, cold smile, ”What do I want to do? Ye Anxin, I should ask you, what do you want to do? Five years, and you’re finally back? You finally decided to come back?”

Feeling the familiar aura washing over her, Ye Anxin couldn’t help but swallow, suppressing her internal tremors, she said, ”I came back to see my son. Xiao Bai is my son; I have the right to come back and see him!”
