The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

If Xiao Yuan hadn’t exposed the issue of the twin swapping for school before his live streaming, most people would probably have believed Mr. and Mrs. Xiao, thinking Xiao Yuan was Xiao Nian, or at least some would be skeptical, but it definitely would have been unfavorable for Xiao Yuan.

But now Xiao Yuan has been live streaming for quite some time.

His live streaming channel has nearly a million followers, with hundreds of thousands watching daily, and the fan base is still expanding rapidly.

Anyone who has watched Xiao Yuan’s live stream or the videos in his channel would absolutely believe what Xiao Yuan says.

After all, Xiao Yuan has streamed for so long, continuously proving his intelligence and erudition.

Such a person could absolutely not have only gotten into a third-rate vocational school.

Even if he were sick with a high fever, he definitely couldn’t have scored so low.

No matter if it was the middle school exam or the college entrance exam, someone must have replaced his scores.

Additionally, some of the fans in Xiao Yuan’s live streaming channel are university students, including students from Dongzhou University who know Xiao Nian.

They even introduced Xiao Nian online, saying he became the most handsome guy on campus right after enrolling due to his good looks, his college entrance exam grades were excellent, if not the top scorer, at least among the top few— everyone thought he was an academic overachiever. But it turns out he was a disaster in his studies, knew nothing during exams, and now, after just one year, has multiple subjects scoring only in the teens.

At first, everyone was puzzled, but after watching Xiao Yuan’s live stream, they understood what was going on.

It turned out he was an academic underachiever, impersonating his brother to attend a good school because he looked like Xiao Yuan.

The journalists interviewing the Xiao Family also knew some things. Seeing Xiao Nian so scared, what was not clear?

They quickly organized this content and published it online.

Some internet users spread the matter widely, even calling the police and whatnot.

This incident even alerted the principal of Dongzhou University.

Principal Sun is a very upright person; he graduated from Dongzhou University and later taught there. He cares deeply about the university’s reputation and is very straightforward.

Once he learned of the matter, he immediately spearheaded an investigation.

In fact, it wasn’t hard to investigate who was Xiao Yuan and who was Xiao Nian, it was easy to find out.

After all, there were birth certificates from the hospital, their performances in school, and signatures and handprints from middle and high school. These were all archived in the school records, a simple comparison would reveal the truth.

The results came out quickly.

In middle school, they attended the same school, and many classmates often couldn’t tell who was Xiao Yuan and who was Xiao Nian.

But Xiao Yuan’s teachers could clearly distinguish between them.

After all, Xiao Yuan excelled in studies and was well-liked by the teachers. The teachers often called on him to explain questions, sometimes even gave him extra tutoring. After spending so much time together, they naturally could tell him apart.

Moreover, their handwriting and other things were different.

Comparing the forms filled out in middle school with their handwriting and handprints and then comparing some forms from high school, it turned out they had swapped identities upon entering high school.

Once everything was clear, Dongzhou University announced this news online and then announced the expulsion of Xiao Nian.

However, they did not admit Xiao Yuan, though Principal Sun made a statement on Dongzhou University’s website, hoping Xiao Yuan would take the college entrance exam again and wishing he could study at Dongzhou University.

Once the matter was clarified, netizens sympathized with Xiao Yuan and were furious at the other three members of the Xiao Family. They also started a petition online, hoping to exempt Xiao Yuan from punishment, seeing him as a victim.

Some netizens, unable to contain their anger, cursed and scolded the other three members of the Xiao Family online, even calling for severe punishment.

In any case, the incident caused a huge stir, so much so that even the Xiao Family’s neighbors knew the details. Whenever Mr. and Mrs. Xiao went out, they were chased and scolded by people, and Xiao Nian was cursed and insulted by countless people.

Xiao Nian didn’t dare to leave the house, staying locked at home, avoiding watching TV or going online. Within a few days, he was reduced to just skin and bones.

Mrs. Xiao was heartbroken, wanting to call Xiao Yuan, but Xiao Yuan had already changed his phone number, and she didn’t know whom to call.

Having no other way out, Mrs. Xiao also went online to livestream.

She livestreamed a suicide attempt online, intending to force Xiao Yuan to show up.
