The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

”I don’t want to go to jail, I don’t want to be caught.”

Yang Fugui saw Yang Lao Mao kneel down with a thud, crying with tears and snot everywhere.

”What’s going on?”

Yang Lao Mao was shocked and reached out to help Yang Fugui, but couldn’t lift him up.

Yang Junni quickly came to assist him, but both of them couldn’t move Yang Fugui.

Yang Fugui cried and said, ”Sanni’s family wants to catch me.”

Sanni is a girl from the neighboring village with low intelligence.

Actually, this girl was born without any problems, but when she was three or four years old, she got a high fever and her brain got damaged. Anyway, she looks silly and her reactions are slower than a normal person.

”Why does Sanni’s family want to catch you, did you steal something from them?”

Yang Junni asked.

Yang Fugui shook his head, ”I didn’t.”

He tightly held Yang Junni’s hand, ”Aunt, elder aunt, please help me talk to Anning, get her to come back, she has to handle this, or I’ll be doomed.”

Yang Lao Mao and Yang Junni were extremely anxious, ”What’s going on, tell us.”

Yang Fugui hesitated and said, ”Sanni is pregnant, and their family insists it’s mine...”

Yang Junni pushed Yang Fugui away and took a deep breath but still couldn’t hold back, slapped Yang Fugui hard across the face, leaving his face swollen.

”You beast, how could you...”

Yang Lao Mao was heartbroken, ”Danni, why are you hitting your nephew, your nephew is also...”

”Shut up.”

Yang Junni didn’t even care about Yang Lao Mao’s dignity, ”You all just indulge him, raise him to be idle and useless, and now he’s done something so vile.”

She really couldn’t stay anymore, turned and walked out, ”I can’t handle your mess.”

Yang Fugui got up to block Yang Junni, ”Aunt, elder aunt, I beg you, can you lend me some money, Sanni’s family said if I don’t want to go to jail, give money, one hundred thousand yuan and the matter is settled privately.”

”I have no money.”

Yang Junni coldly refused.

Yang Lao Mao quickly came over, ”Danni, if you have money, just give some, you can’t just watch your nephew go to jail, he’s the root of our Yang family...”

This really made Yang Junni laugh bitterly.

”Dad, I finally understand why second brother doesn’t want to care about you, and I know why mom doesn’t like coming back. With people like you, how can others care for you? The more someone cares for you, the more you take them for granted. When something happens, you sacrifice them.”

Yang Junni was truly angry, her head hurt, ”Over the years, hasn’t my elder brother and sister-in-law treated you well? If it weren’t for us three sisters occasionally supporting you, could you have lived until now? We cared for you, wanted to take care of you, but taking care of you brought trouble.”

She pointed at Yang Fugui, ”Sanni is a girl who knows nothing. If he had no bad intentions, if he hadn’t lured Sanni, how could Sanni be with him... He wouldn’t even spare a fool, Dad, why do you protect such a person? What ’root of the Yang family,’ if it’s such a rotten root, I would rather not have it.”

Yang Junni got angrier as she spoke, truly didn’t want to stay at Yang Dachou’s house any longer.

She felt staying any longer would make her sick.

Before, she only thought Yang Fugui was lazy and didn’t like to work, somewhat ambitious but never expected Yang Fugui to have moral issues, no, Yang Fugui simply wasn’t human.

Seeing Yang Junni not caring for him, Yang Fugui panicked.

He ran over to tug at Yang Junni, ”Aunt, you can’t turn a blind eye, I know you have money, Xiangshan has been in the sports team for so many years, sending money home every month. Xiangxiang didn’t spend much of your money during college, she won scholarships, tutored others in college, instead of spending money she saved money. Later she went to grad school doing research with professors, earning even more. Over the years, you and uncle have worked hard, surely saved quite a bit, Aunt, how about giving me some money, why are you so heartless...”

Yang Junni tried hard to shake off Yang Fugui but couldn’t.

Her face turned blue with anger.

”Let go.”

Yang Fugui started to act rogue, ”No, if you don’t give money I won’t let go.”

Yang Lao Mao was still helping Yang Fugui, ”Danni, just give your nephew some money, it’s life-saving.”

Yang Junni only felt her head hurt a lot, her breathing became rapid, she felt throbbing pain on her forehead, as if something blocked in her nose, felt she couldn’t breathe.

”Let...”

Yang Junni said just one word, then her vision darkened and she collapsed.

This really scared Yang Fugui silly.

He looked at Yang Junni, then at Yang Lao Mao, turned and ran out, ”Grandpa, I didn’t come back today, it’s you who angered my aunt.”

Yang Lao Mao watched Yang Fugui run out of sight, not knowing what to do.

He wanted to call someone over but worried that since Yang Fugui just ran away, calling people would let them know he caused Yang Junni to faint. But not calling someone, he feared Yang Junni might be in serious trouble.

Eventually, the love for his grandson overwhelmed everything.

Yang Lao Mao decided to wait a bit longer.

Despite how good Yang Junni was to him, she was just a daughter, a daughter married out is like spilled water, she’s no longer part of the Yang family, but Yang Fugui could carry on the Yang family line.

Anning was on the way to pick up Su Mingzhu and Su Mingyu from school when she received a call from Yang Baoni.

”Ningning, your, elder aunt is in bad shape, you all hurry back.”

Anning was shocked.

”Second aunt, what’s wrong with my elder aunt? Don’t cry, speak clearly.”

But Yang Baoni couldn’t calm down, she was still crying, ”Your elder aunt... come back and see for yourself, this matter I...”

She really didn’t know how to explain.

”What about Xiangshan, should we tell him, he is in training now, can he come back?”

”Tell him.”

Anning thought for a moment, ”Xiangshan isn’t competing until next year, there’s plenty of time. If we don’t tell him now, he’ll find out eventually, I’ll call Xiangxiang later and let her tell Xiangshan.”

Anning stopped the car on the roadside to call Zhang Xiangxiang, and then called home to inform Old Madam and Li Cuixia about it.

When she picked up the two kids and returned home, Old Madam had already packed their things. The whole family was waiting for her, even Xiao Yuan had returned.

Anning didn’t bother changing the kids’ clothes, quickly had the driver take the family to the airport.

After checking the luggage and passing security at the airport, Anning called Yang Baoni again, ”Second aunt, where is my elder aunt now?”

Yang Baoni was waiting outside the intensive care unit at the county hospital, extremely anxious, pained, and angry, ”At the county hospital, the intensive care unit, the doctor said the situation is very bad.”

”What exactly happened?”

Anning asked again.

At this moment, Old Madam came over and grabbed the phone, ”Baoni, what’s wrong with your sister? Did she argue with your brother-in-law or what?”

Old Madam thought it was something happening at Yang Junni’s husband’s side, but never expected it happened at Yang Dachou’s house.

”No, not my brother-in-law, these past few years my brother-in-law treated my sister so well, Xiangxiang and Xiangshan are successful, Zhang Family treats my sister very well, it’s, my father and Fugui angered my sister...”

At this point, Yang Baoni was trembling with anger, ”Yang Fugui grabbed my sister asking for money, made my sister faint, my father let Yang Fugui escape, didn’t call for help, just let my sister lie in the yard. If I hadn’t happened to go over today, my sister would have been doomed.”

Yang Baoni was extremely angry, gritting her teeth, ”Mom, you all come back quickly, my sister’s matter needs you to take charge.”

”Okay.”

Old Madam listened and was also biting her teeth in anger, ”Your father, that fool, has been muddle-headed all his life. He... caused all this at home. Living well yet causing trouble, if anything happens to Junni, I won’t let him off.”

Old Madam having seen much with Anning, plus her second son and three daughters all stood by her, she self-consciously felt upright, even didn’t fear Yang Lao Mao anymore, she fiercely said, ”He’s unrepentant, you all shouldn’t care about him in the future, I see what good he will end up with following his eldest son.”
