Reborn As Super Heiress

Having explained thoroughly, Gu Xu was unsure if the kid understood, but he knew very well that time was running out for him. He couldn’t afford to be verbose anymore; holding that precious egg, he swung his arm and forcefully threw the Blue Fatty towards the distant water surface.

Ever since the mission started with Gu Xu, the little guy had been very obedient and hadn’t caused any trouble at home. During the emergency retreat, it quietly curled up inside Gu Xu’s backpack and slept, even when Gu Xu parachuted and plunged into the sea, it didn’t wake up.

Unexpectedly, while sleeping soundly, it was smacked on the bottom by its own dad. Even though there was a shell in between, the little guy still woke up from the smack.

Having been smacked on the bottom, the little guy was a bit ashamed and irritated, subconsciously opened its eyes and glared at Gu Xu, wanting to protest against Gu Xu. However, in the next moment, it was thrown out by Gu Xu with great force, causing the whole egg to soar into the air.

Evidently, the little guy hadn’t heard the previous words from Gu Xu at all, still thinking Gu Xu was playing a game with it.

After it landed into the water more than twenty meters away from Gu Xu, the little guy got excited. Before Gu Xu could react, almost in one second, the mischievous little guy appeared once more in Gu Xu’s arms.

After being stunned for a moment, Gu Xu realized the egg kid had returned. He couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth, feeling both annoyed and anxious, yet unable to reason with the little guy — he could only throw it out once again.

However, in the next second, the Blue Fatty returned, even twisting in his arms, fluttering happily inside the egg, giggling a few times, clearly enjoying this game.

Gu Xu was about to explode in anger. Seeing the yacht approaching closer, he couldn’t delay any longer. At this point, he could no longer care about the precious egg and took out a dagger, aiming to stab towards his heart.

Just as he hadn’t expected, as soon as the dagger pierced less than half a centimeter and blood started to ooze, that precious egg let out an angry and piercing scream. In the next instant, Gu Xu felt his arm suddenly go numb, losing sensation in the hand holding the dagger, unable to stab any further, and the dagger sank along with the ocean water.

Gu Xu was stunned, unable to react in time as the yacht already rowed over, accompanied by a massive wave crashing over. He subconsciously closed his eyes, ready to endure the crushing current of the wave.

But what Gu Xu didn’t expect was this time, the wave seemed to encounter some resistance. At a distance of less than a foot from him, it timely stopped and split to both sides, successfully avoiding his location.

Not being drenched by the wave, Gu Xu was somewhat dazed, before he could understand what happened, the searching yacht stopped at a distance less than five meters from him.

At such close proximity, Gu Xu could even clearly see the Country F’s search personnel wearing cruise uniforms on the deck, sweeping searchlights across the water while looking around, occasionally having moments when Gu Xu’s gaze met theirs.

Gu Xu instinctively held his breath, his heartbeat racing furiously.

He already sensed this time he would be finished.

However, slowly, Gu Xu started to feel odd, even inexplicable.

Clearly, the search team was just a few meters away, the yacht’s light even illuminating the water surface he was on, completely unnecessary to use a searchlight. Just looking down would reveal him, yet the personnel seemed like they couldn’t see him as if standing in the shadow of their own lights, looking around aimlessly.

He heard search personnel on the yacht saying something, someone excitedly explaining, and others moving around with searchlights around the yacht, seeming to be searching for him, yet they absurdly ignored the person right here within arm’s reach.

Feeling rather puzzled, Gu Xu was unsure of the situation but didn’t dare to move, afraid that a slight mistake would draw the attention of those on the yacht.

The yacht stayed near Gu Xu’s position for a good ten to twenty minutes, during which search personnel lowered a dinghy, carefully searching the vicinity but found nothing, returning to the yacht and sailing ahead again.

Until the yacht sailed away, Gu Xu finally let out a sigh of relief, just then sensing something was amiss, instinctively looking at the precious egg in his arms.

”Was it you playing tricks?”

Gu Xu’s tone was questioning, but inwardly, he was sure that it was indeed his own son helping out.

He recalled when this precious egg was born, causing Niuniu and Qibao to scramble around, the house turned upside down. Even then, the little guy had shown its invisibility ability, only at that time Gu Xu hadn’t thought this little thing could possess skills like its mom, not only being able to be invisible itself but also assisting others in concealing their presence.

Having survived, the tense string inside Gu Xu finally loosened. The searching yacht had already left far behind, but those people might circle back at any time. With Gu Xu having stayed in the water for too long, feeling exhausted and his energy gradually depleted, he didn’t delay anymore, continuing to swim towards the island.

```
After struggling in the sea for nearly half an hour, he finally stepped on the sand near the island, feeling the support of dry land, Gu Xu let out a sigh of relief, walking step by step onto the island.
Once on the island, Gu Xu realized it was a barren island formed by an accumulation of rocky reefs, entirely consisting of stones, not a blade of grass growing, but covered with bird droppings. Upon landing, a stench hit him instantly, Gu Xu’s nostrils were choked by the smell, uncontrollably retching. The joy he had started to feel instantly vanished completely.
The mood of seeing land, like finding an oasis in a desert, instantly became frustrated.
But at this moment, there wasn’t much room for picky thoughts, compared to soaking in the cold sea or being captured by the enemy, this situation was quite preferable, Gu Xu could only endure, quickly tearing a strip from his clothes to cover his nose, barely isolating a portion of the stench from bird droppings.
Having prepared for self-harm, when throwing out the precious egg, Gu Xu had already loosened his backpack strap, so the backpack containing food drifted away with the waves to somewhere unknown. Now Gu Xu was cold, hungry, and thirsty, yet had no food, not even water.
Without a handy dagger, Gu Xu felt a sense of helplessness, but just sitting idly wasn’t viable; he had to think of a way to acquire food, otherwise, even if he evaded enemy pursuit, without rescue, he might starve on this ocean.
