Reborn As Super Heiress

Knowing her son was with Gu Xu, Huo Sining’s heart, which had been hanging, finally settled down. Although she couldn’t quite understand how her dear child ended up with Gu Xu, given the little guy’s destructive power, he was already doing well by not causing trouble for others; surely others couldn’t bully him. At least in a dangerous situation, he would definitely be able to protect himself.

Thinking of this, a smile naturally appeared on Huo Sining’s lips.

In her past life, she had missed her chance with Gu Xu. In this life, she had gained so much—children, a career, a family. Most importantly, Gu Xu, this person, had finally become her other half, an inseparable part of her life.

After waking from a deep sleep, the spiritual energy within Huo Sining gradually recovered. Coupled with the nourishing soup sent by Mrs. Gu, Huo Sining’s complexion was noticeably rosier, and her chest even became plump and full. The colostrum couldn’t be wasted, so the nurse quickly brought over Gu Family’s little Xiao Yao.

Perhaps because a small amount of spiritual energy mixed into Huo Sining’s breast milk, it tasted better than formula. After the little girl tasted her mother’s milk, she refused to drink formula ever again.

Luckily, Huo Sining’s body quickly adjusted after the spiritual energy’s smoothing, and her milk was abundant, eliminating the worry of the little girl not getting enough to eat.

Apart from this, however, a more troublesome issue arose: since the little girl came into contact with her mother, possibly smelling the spiritual energy on her, she refused to stay peacefully in the incubator.

The nurse initially praised the little girl in front of Huo Sining, saying she was well-behaved and obedient in the incubator, not crying or fussing. But after tasting the breast milk, her temperament dramatically changed. As soon as the nurse took her away from Huo Sining’s side, she started crying and fussing non-stop, kicking and punching like a scene from ”Havoc in Heaven.”

The nurses found it difficult. What they initially thought was normal ended up with hours of unceasing crying when placed back in the incubator, her already red skin turning purple from crying. Seeing this, the nurses were terrified and hurriedly reported to Huo Sining.

Madam Gu and Mrs. Gu were there too, unsure of what the matter was, but everyone knew that letting the child cry like this was not the solution.

”Why not bring the child over to me first, and I’ll see what’s going on!”

Huo Sining was anxious too. Having never raised a child, she’d never encountered such a situation. However, she believed her spiritual energy had a supportive role and might help the child. If the reason couldn’t be identified, she’d use spiritual energy to see what the problem was with the child.

”Right, isn’t Ningning a doctor? Bring the child over and let Ningning have a look! Maybe she can identify the problem.” The Gu Family knew Huo Sining’s skills well. Even the experts and professors from Yulong Mountain spoke highly of her, so the Gu Family had blind confidence in her medical skills.

The nurse, aware of the identities of those present, dared not offend and immediately brought the child over upon hearing this.

No one expected that when the nurse placed the child in Huo Sining’s palm, it was as if smelling her mother’s scent; the previously heart-wrenching cries quieted down instantly. After a couple of whimpers, she instinctively snuggled up to Huo Sining, pouting briefly before sweetly falling asleep.

”This...”

Everyone was stunned, and even the nurses exchanged glances in astonishment.

Huo Sining previously couldn’t understand the situation, but now she had some insight. Estimating that a bit of spiritual energy leaked from her body, ordinary people might not detect it, but this little girl, emerging from her, surely sensed the difference between her and others. Thus, she refused to return to the incubator after being held.

”Haha, worthy of our Gu Family’s bloodline, so intelligent even as a tiny baby, already knowing who her mother is. Not bad, not bad!”

Madam Gu quickly reacted and slapped the table with laughter.

Beside her, Mrs. Gu nodded, saying, ”It’s the bond between mother and daughter. This child will certainly grow up to be smart.”

The nurses were both amused and exasperated, while Su Qingqing worried, ”But, the child is premature. If she doesn’t stay in the incubator, won’t she...”

Huo Sining thought for a moment, instinctively used spiritual energy to comb through the little girl’s body, confirmed no issues, then raised her head and smiled,

”She can eat and sleep. There’s no big problem. If we’re still worried, we can let the doctor come to examine her again. If there are no specific issues, let the child sleep with me.”

The nurses agreed, nodding, ”We should conduct another examination before resting assured. Although Miss Gu’s body is now stable, everything should rely on instrument data.”

Huo Sining had no objections, of course, and Madam Gu and Mrs. Gu also raised their hands in agreement. Both were unwilling to let the granddaughter (great-granddaughter) stay in that incubator, eager for close physical affection.

The doctors conducted the examination swiftly, and within less than half an hour after the nurse took the little girl out, she was brought back.

The little girl cried herself hoarse again, the nurses were exhausted, but still brought back good news: ”The child is perfectly normal and doesn’t need to stay in the incubator.”

Huo Sining nodded, took the little girl into her arms; indeed, upon smelling the fragrance of spiritual energy from Huo Sining, the little girl stopped crying and fussing.

At first, the nurses thought Madam Gu’s words were exaggerated, but now they had no choice but to believe.

This little baby was genuinely seeking her mother, but a baby only a few days old, could she truly sense who her mother was?

The nurses were amazed, even Madam Gu and Mrs. Gu were stunned.

Huo Sining was indifferent, simply finding it amusing, but her heart was filled with warmth. After all, this was flesh from her own body, and moreover, this little one was so clingy to her. She could already foresee the soft, cute look of the little girl in the future.

Watching the sticky rice dumpling wriggle in her arms, occasionally letting out lofty hums, Huo Sining felt a bit helpless, wondering what to do with this little one who loved to act spoiled.

The Gu Family only had sons; even Chen Yu’s child Gu Chengxuan was a boy, so the entire family, from Master Gu to Gu Xu, favored girls. When this little one was yet to be born, Gu Xu was already beside himself with joy. Now that the Gu Family’s only little daughter was born, the whole family might spoil her, and Huo Sining predicted the Gu Family might become this little one’s domain in the future.
