Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 544: Chapter 541 It’s Worth

Whether he liked it or not, Zhou Zhen had to admit that Huo Sining’s level in stone gambling was indeed much higher than his.

However, it was precisely because of this that Zhou Zhen felt very skeptical about Huo Sining spending twenty million to buy that batch of Mogang Rock.

He did not believe that Huo Sining would spend twenty million to buy a pile of Mogang Rock waste stones, because those stones were not rough jadeite at all.

The more Zhou Zhen thought about it, the more he felt that this was a trap set by Huo Sining; he was convinced of this in his heart. Thus, he was not in a hurry to leave, deciding instead to stay and watch the show unfold.

He said to Jiang Sanbo, ”Mr. Jiang, rest assured, Miss Huo is a person who keeps her word, and moreover, a mere twenty million is nothing for a wealthy person like Miss Huo, so you don’t have to worry.”

As he spoke, he turned to look at Huo Sining and couldn’t help but say deliberately, ”Miss Huo, a gentleman prides in enabling others to succeed. Since Miss Huo you are insistent on spending twenty million to acquire these rough jadeite pieces, then I won’t continue to dispute with you. Mr. Jiang, I yield these rough jadeite pieces to Miss Huo.”

Yield? A hint of scorn flashed in Huo Sining’s eyes. Zhou Zhen really knew how to give himself airs. It was her who had first come to look at the rough jadeite pieces, but he had the nerve to twist the truth and shamelessly say it was he who had yielded them.

But now wasn’t the time for verbal disputes, and she had no intention of wasting her time entangling with such a person.

”Since that’s the case, then I should thank Young Master Zhou. I hope you won’t regret this decision,” she replied.

Huo Sining looked at Zhou Zhen with a half-smile, thinking to herself how composed he seemed now, as if she had taken a great advantage. It was nothing but a ploy to provoke her into swallowing this silent loss. But wait until she had carved out this piece of rough jadeite—then it would be his turn to cry!

”Miss Huo, please proceed with Mr. Jiang to sign the contract and make the transfer. Since I’ve said I will yield it to Miss Huo, I will not go back on my word,” Zhou Zhen said with conviction, still confident that Huo Sining was setting a trap for him to spring. He replied sarcastically.

A pile of Mogang Rock; unless she could turn stone into jadeite, there was no chance it could yield any green.

No matter how big the bait was tossed or how convincing the act, he wouldn’t be fooled. He just wanted to see what tricks this woman had left to play!

Zhou Zhen was waiting for Huo Sining to waste twenty million on this worthless pile of Mogang Rock; on the other hand, Huo Sining was waiting for Zhou Zhen to say precisely that.

Seeing that Zhou Zhen stated he would not interfere, Huo Sining immediately smiled and nodded. She turned her head, but ignored Jiang Sanbo completely, instead speaking to Jiang Xiaoqin, who had been zoning out, ”Xiao Qin, could you please bring all the decision-makers from your family? For a transaction worth twenty million, it’s better to have everyone informed.”

When Jiang Xiaoqin heard Huo Sining’s words, she immediately came back to her senses and her face flushed red.

Realizing that Huo Sining’s previous words were not made in jest, Jiang Xiaoqin looked at Huo Sining with some concern.

She could tell that Huo Sining had not been optimistic about the rough jadeite in the basement at first. It was after Jiang Sanbo’s group entered the yard that Huo Sining began to act strangely.

”Sister Huo, that rough jadeite is actually not worth...”

Jiang Xiaoqin still wanted to persuade Huo Sining to reconsider, but before she could finish, she was interrupted by Huo Sining.

”No, it’s worth it!”

Huo Sining looked at Jiang Xiaoqin with a steadfast belief in her eyes:

”I’m not joking with you. Just go get your grandparents, and it would be best if you could also bring Jiang Sibo from your stone gambling shop along too. I think he can make the decision on this matter.”

Seeing that Huo Sining was resolute, Jiang Xiaoqin didn’t press further and hurriedly ran out to find people.

Nobody noticed anything amiss in what Huo Sining said. In answering Jiang Xiaoqin, Huo Sining had used ”it’s worth it,” not ”they’re worth it.”

What she was really interested in was not the pile of waste stones in the basement, but the giant washboard standing beside her.

Taking advantage of the moment, Huo Sining had already pulled out A4 paper from her bag and begun drafting a contract. She was well aware of her own intentions. She had already said that she intended to spend twenty million to buy all the rough material. That included not just the Mogang Rock in the basement, but also the washboard in the courtyard.

Although she knew that the Jiang Family would definitely sell for twenty million, Huo Sining had to be cautious to prevent Zhou Zhen and the others from causing trouble. Thus, she deliberately played word games to conceal her intentions from Zhou Zhen.

By the time Jiang Xiaoqin had brought Jiang Sibo and the crazy old man back, Huo Sining had finished the draft of the contract.

In her contract, she specifically noted a clause: the rough material included both the Mogang Rock in the basement and the washboard in the courtyard.

Jiang Xiaoqin and Jiang Sibo were not fools; they too noticed this clause.

Even so, the Jiang Family still thought Huo Sining’s actions were ridiculous. The rough material could definitely not be cut to yield jadeite, and it simply wasn’t worth twenty million.

Jiang Sibo didn’t know about the underhanded dealings between Huo Sining and Zhou Zhen, but after all, he was part of a minor branch, not a direct descendant of Uncle Jiang Qi. Although he could act as a notary, he couldn’t make decisions on behalf of Uncle Jiang Qi’s family.

Grandma Jiang had also come out at this point, and hearing that Huo Sining wanted to spend twenty million to buy those broken stones, she went blank for a moment before murmuring to her granddaughter, ”How much did you say? Twenty million?”

”Miss Huo, do you want to consider it again? Twenty million is not a small amount. Do you really want to buy this pile of Mogang...?”

Jiang Sibo was somewhat incredulous; he couldn’t fathom why anyone would spend twenty million on a pile of stones that clearly couldn’t be cut to increase in value. Wasn’t this just foolish?

”Boss Jiang, I’m not joking. Twenty million isn’t much for me, and I firmly believe that Uncle Jiang Qi’s rough material is worth the price. I just hope that after I open up the rough material, Boss Jiang, you won’t go back on the deal and refuse to give them to me,” Huo Sining said, half-jokingly.

Huo Sining smiled as she cracked the joke.

”Miss Huo, you can rest assured on that front. My Jiang Family has always valued credibility in business. If this contract is truly signed, there will be no breach,” Jiang Sibo said seriously after seeing Huo Sining was determined, knowing further talk was futile.

”In that case, let’s sign and seal the contract. Later on, I would also ask Mr. Jiang for a favor, to borrow a stone cutting machine for me,” Huo Sining said with an open smile. ”Mr. Jiang, I think Uncle Jiang Qi’s wish is just to open up these rough materials and see whether there’s any jadeite inside them, to fulfill his wish, right? Later, I’ll be stone gambling right here, and I promise not to disappoint Uncle Jiang Qi.”
