Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 534: Chapter 531: One of the Seven Treasures of Tibetan Esotericism

Some onlookers were just there for the excitement. Seeing the value of the beads that Huo Sining had cut out, their eyes suddenly turned red with envy. They were both admiring and jealous, unable to suppress their regret:

”Damn it! Just these few beads are worth tens of millions. If I had acted sooner and bought that waste material from that woman surnamed Liu, I could have had more than ten million, enough for me to spend for a lifetime!”

No sooner had these words been spoken than someone looked at the speaker with disdain: ”Easy for you to say, would you be willing to spend money on a worthless, moss-eaten green waste? And what she uncovered isn’t even that piece of moss-eaten green, but the other one, the Mogang Rock!”

”Exactly, you just see the beads are valuable, but did you see how she gambled on the stones? Look at the girl’s technique in cutting the stone, clearly, she had seen earlier that there was a Heavenly Bead inside the Mogang Rock; otherwise, she wouldn’t have wiped the stone so carefully. None of us could make out anything, yet she saw it at a glance. Do you think that’s just a fluke?”

With his face turning red, the lectured man found everyone looking at him with eyes of disapproval. Embarrassed, he hastily changed the subject to save face:

”Hey, I’m just firing after the horse, admiring her skill, where am I doubting her? This woman is indeed amazing, but that Ms. Liu is just tragic. It’s a good thing she left; otherwise, if she knew that her collapsed raw material actually contained a heavenly-priced Jadeite Dzi Beads, she would surely be furious enough to cough up blood.”

Liu Yuxuan stood right behind these people and, upon hearing their conversation, was instantly dumbfounded.

If she still didn’t understand what had happened by this time, she’d be an idiot. It turned out that the so-called waste had actually been bought by Huo Sining! What a great tactic!

Liu Yuxuan looked at Huo Sining, who stood by the central stone cutting machine, her face showing shifting emotions, while the gloominess in her eyes grew denser.

In fact, it wasn’t Huo Sining’s fault. Huo Sining had already bought a piece of waste material from Liu Yuxuan once, but Liu Yuxuan did not sell it to her; instead, she made another cut on that moss-eaten green.

With two cuts, the raw material was completely ruined. If Huo Sining had then offered to buy the two pieces of waste material, even if Liu Yuxuan was a bit slow, she would have sensed something was amiss. So, it’s not unacceptable for Huo Sining to employ some tricks.

The world of jade gambling is all about comparing skills in spotting the right stone, and deceit is part of the norm.

Huo Sining saw something special in the Mogang Rock that Liu Yuxuan didn’t notice. It’s not right to blame Huo Sining for being crafty. If anyone is to blame, it’s Liu Yuxuan herself for not having the skills.

Unfortunately, Liu Yuxuan had been pampered and chased after all her life, and had never encountered such a setback. Moreover, she was not a person of broad-mindedness and was never one to acknowledge any fault of her own.

Losing two million just like that, and now Huo Sining had picked up a great deal from her hands. With such a stark contrast, Liu Yuxuan naturally felt extremely aggrieved, and her entire psyche started to twist.

She became convinced that Huo Sining was responsible for her huge loss and thus began to detest her, her gaze toward Huo Sining filled with hatred.

”Two million and two hundred thousand!”

”I bid two million and five hundred thousand! I want all seven beads!”

Hearing the call for bids, the crowd was full of astute individuals who knew that the seven Heavenly Beads were extraordinary. Perhaps they concealed a vast value unknown to them. Thus, everyone joined in the bidding frenzy, and in no time, the entire square buzzed with excitement.

Regrettably, Huo Sining paid no attention to those calling out bids. He focused solely on polishing the remaining six small rough stones with the grinder.

By the time Liu Yuxuan had dug out all the bead-like objects from the rough stones, although they were mentally prepared, they couldn’t help but gasp at the sight of the seven dazzling emerald beads. Everyone’s heart began to pound violently.

Liu Yuxuan, of course, also noticed the seven top-grade Emerald Heavenly Beads, but unlike the onlookers, she was well aware of their value. Not to mention two million, they could sell for ten million and people would still clamor for them.

The Heavenly Bead is one of the seven treasures of Tibetan secret traditions, originally known as the Three-Eyed Dzi Bead, a sacred object in Buddhism.

The origin story of the Three-Eyed Dzi Bead actually lies in Tibet. Legend has it that the Dzi Bead was a celestial treasure that fell into human hands, capable of averting disasters, attracting wealth, changing one’s fortunes, and bringing blessings.

Each millenarian pure Heavenly Bead’s totem contains a mysterious blessing. Since ancient times, it has been the most mystically endowed Buddhist sacred object, eluding all but the most fated and immensely fortunate. There’s an old saying that a single bead could easily be traded for fifty fine horses.

In fact, true Dzi Beads are defined as tube beads made from natural materials and polished, distinguished as old Dzi Beads crafted from shell fossils and new Dzi Beads carved from natural agate.

When a genuine Dzi Bead is worn, it is said to align with the wearer’s meridians to create a mutual magnetic field, bringing great benefits to the body.

Tibetans commonly believe that Dzi Beads, adorned by deities with extraordinary powers, are jewelry that can help humans overcome difficulties and disasters, change misfortune into good luck, and bring auspicious and protective blessings from the heavens.

Compared to these later crafted Dzi Beads from shell fossils and agate, the seven pure natural Jadeite Dzi Beads that Huo Sining held were clearly more precious, even rare.

The naturally formed superior Jadeite Dzi Beads seem like otherworldly objects, fitting closer with the mythical origins of the Three-Eyed Dzi Bead among the Tibetan seven treasures.

Liu Yuxuan had not heard of unearthing Dzi Beads from Jadeite Raw Stones for the first time. Thirty years ago, her grandfather had attended a Jadeite gambling event in Yangon, Myanmar.

At that event, someone uncovered five Ice-type Jadeite Dzi Beads, which an American Chinese bought for half a million each.

This development caused a sensation in the entire Jadeite gambling community. Thirty years ago, possessing ten thousand RMB could make one wealthy, so instantly earning two and a half million was akin to a windfall.

This incident inspired many at the time; countless people followed suit in purchasing Jadeite Raw Stones, fueling the growing frenzy of Stone Gambling from that point on.

It was said that the five Dzi Beads were later sent by that American Chinese to Tibet to have a Living Buddha consecrate them with Buddhist Law. They were retrieved from Tibet years later. As soon as they returned to the American Chinese, numerous people vied for them, with some offering as much as two million per bead, but the owner was reluctant to sell.

Due to the massive sensation the beads caused at the time, Liu Yuxuan’s grandfather remembered it vividly. During his storytelling of Stone Gambling, he mentioned it more than once, which is why her understanding of Heavenly Beads was deeper than most.
