Urban Martial Saint

Upon seeing this man, the Tattooed Dragon Man immediately wilted a fair bit, pointed at Ye Qing, and said, ”Yun, this one’s quite tough, hard to deal with!”

Yun glanced at the Tattooed Dragon Man, who immediately shrunk his head back, extremely awkward.

Yun slowly walked up to Ye Qing and sized him up from top to bottom.

”I didn’t think...”

Ye Qing had barely started speaking three words when Yun suddenly stepped forward, both hands forming palms, and directly slapped toward Ye Qing’s abdomen.

Ye Qing’s expression changed. Yun’s speed and strength were much stronger than the Tattooed Dragon Man’s by far. This person was a true expert!

Ye Qing stepped aside, trying to dodge the palm. However, Yun was also very fast, and as Ye Qing paced, Yun followed, adjusting direction, continuing to aim at Ye Qing.

Ye Qing dodged several times but could not avoid it. Seeing that it was impossible to escape, he finally had no choice but to step back several steps, both hands reaching out to grasp at Yun’s arms simultaneously.

Yun didn’t dodge or evade and ruthlessly slapped down. Ye Qing did catch Yun’s wrists, but his strength hadn’t fully recovered and couldn’t shake Yun’s hands at all. He was hit hard on the chest by Yun’s palms.

Ye Qing was sent flying over two meters, crashing heavily onto the ground. A sweet taste in his throat and a burst of fresh blood spurted out, his chest feeling tight. Yun must have also practiced Neijia Kung Fu; his blows were incredibly powerful!

”I thought he was some expert, but he’s just a small fry!” Yun disdainfully glanced at Ye Qing and turned away, saying, ”Let’s go!”

Fire Dragon, seeing Yun walk away, immediately came over and kicked Ye Qing twice, muttering under his breath, ”Better not let me see you again, or I’ll beat you every time I do!”

Ye Qing didn’t speak, slowly got up, and quietly watched the two men.

Fire Dragon felt uneasy under Ye Qing’s gaze and cursed, ”What are you looking at? Continue, and I’ll dig out your eyeballs!”

Fire Dragon extended his hands, gesturing at Ye Qing. Suddenly noticing the bullet pendant on Ye Qing’s chest, Fire Dragon became interested and snatched it, saying, ”Oh, it’s actually a real bullet!”

Ye Qing was instantly annoyed. This bullet pendant was a gift from his former commander when he first joined the special forces. The gunpowder had been removed, carefully crafted into a pendant. Although not highly valuable, it was very meaningful to Ye Qing. He had worn it for five years and had never taken it off.

”Give it back!” Ye Qing said sternly.

”Give back your ass, daring to carry a real bullet around, believe it or not, I call the cops on you!” Fire Dragon cursed a few more words, wore the bullet pendant around his neck, and swaggered off.

Ye Qing wanted to chase after him, took two steps forward, but his chest pained again and a mouthful of fresh blood surged to his throat.

Ye Qing vomited two mouthfuls of blood, struggling to keep his footing, but by then, the men were already gone.

Ye Qing frowned tightly, stood in place for a while, and eventually, turned around to pick up the scattered project plans from the ground, staggering back.

It was noon by the time Ye Qing reached the outside of his residential area. His chest no longer felt as tight, but the pain was getting more evident. Yun’s palm strike had caused him internal injuries.

Arriving at his building, he saw from afar Old Wang Ba squatting down playing chess with several old men. From Old Wang Ba’s loud complaints, it seemed the game was not in his favor.

”Old Wang Ba...” Ye Qing called out, the severe pain in his chest preventing him from raising his voice.

Upon hearing the call, Old Wang Ba turned his head, saw Ye Qing, and immediately rejoiced. He stood up, kicked the chessboard on the ground aside, and said, ”No more, no more, I’m going to eat.”

The old man he was playing with immediately got upset, stood up, and said, ”We’re just a few moves from finishing. How can you just leave? You are clearly losing. If you want to leave, at least pay up!”

Old Wang Ba glared and retorted, ”What do you mean I’m clearly losing? How can you just say I’m losing? Do you know what ’turning defeat into victory’ means? I already had a plan, and within ten moves I would definitely turn the situation around. I’m not even asking you for money, and you have the nerve to ask me for it!”

Old man: ”Impossible, you have no moves left, how could you possibly turn defeat into victory. Everyone can bear witness, you’ve definitely lost!”

”What’s this talk of impossible? You people don’t know the genius of my moves. Forget it, I won’t waste words with you, no future in this!” Old Wang Ba said, then almost ran to Ye Qing’s side, grabbing him and rushing upstairs.

The old men behind shouted a few more words but didn’t chase after them. However, Old Wang Ba had definitely lost face here.

Ye Qing followed behind Old Wang Ba and after a few steps could no longer continue, whispering, ”Slow down... I... I’m injured...”

”Injured? What injury?” It was only then that Old Wang Ba noticed something was wrong with Ye Qing, and after taking his pulse, he frowned deeply, sternly asking, ”Have you been fighting with someone?”

Ye Qing weakly nodded his head, causing Old Wang Ba to widen his eyes and exclaim, ”Don’t you know your current state? And you still went out to fight? Don’t you care if you’d die out there?”

Ye Qing had no time to explain, clutching his chest as he returned to his room.

Old Wang Ba lectured Ye Qing for a bit but still went out to buy some Chinese medicine for him, which he started brewing in the kitchen.

”Let me tell you, you need at least three days to recover your strength. During these three days, you’d better stay home, don’t go anywhere,” Old Wang Ba said gravely, ”You’re lucky the person you fought with wasn’t very skilled. Your injury isn’t that severe. Otherwise, you’d likely be bedridden for a couple of months!”

Ye Qing leaned on the sofa, no longer struggling forcefully, and slowly the stifling feeling in his chest subsided. He slowly closed his eyes, contemplating that three days was not a long time. After three days, he must retrieve that bullet pendant!

On the other side, Fire Dragon, wearing Ye Qing’s bullet pendant, flaunted it like a trophy. They got into the remaining car and halfway through, caught up with the previous two cars, following them to Shenchuan University.

Approaching noon, the campus was full of students rushing to grab their meals after class, creating a chaotic scene. The three cars driving through the campus especially drew people’s attention!

”Another rich guy coming to pick up his lover, huh!” a student spat sarcastically.

The person next to him gave him a sharp look and said, ”Lover what, don’t you recognize these three cars?”

”Are these three cars famous?” the student asked curiously.

”Of course, they belong to Lin Zhen Nan, the chairman of Lin Corporation. What do you think!”

”My god, these are Lin Zhen Nan’s cars? What... what is he doing at the school? Could it be that he’s also keeping a college student or something?”

”Cut it out, he’s here to pick up his daughter. Haven’t you heard? Lin Huayu from the mathematics department, she’s his only daughter!”

”Lin Huayu? You... you mean that famous beauty from the mathematics department?”

”What do you think!”

Amid the buzz of discussion, Lin Zhen Nan’s car arrived at the mathematics department building. Soon after, Lin Huayu, pouting, walked out accompanied by two bodyguards.

Seeing his daughter, Lin Zhen Nan finally showed a smile on his face and got out of the car to quietly watch her.

Surrounding students envied the scene, and of course, some were jealous too.

”Dad, why have you come again!” Lin Huayu stomped over, her face filled with a gloomy expression.

”What’s wrong?” Lin Zhen Nan asked with a light smile, ”Who has upset you again?”

”Who else could it be, other than these two blocks of wood you sent!” Lin Huayu glared at the two bodyguards and said, ”They don’t let me go here or there, I have no freedom at all. Even going to the restroom, they stand guard outside. Am I going to school or in prison!”

Lin Zhen Nan chuckled lightly and said, ”Huayu, they are just trying to protect you. What happened last time can’t happen again!”

At the mention of the last incident, Lin Huayu shivered. But seeing the two bodyguards, her face was filled with irritation and discomfort.

Lin Zhen Nan doted on his daughter and lightly stroked her hair, smiling, ”Okay, don’t be mad. Your cousin just came from Xi Hang, you’ve always missed her, right? Now you can go see her.”

Lin Huayu immediately beamed and urgently asked, ”Really? Cousin is here? When did she arrive?”

Lin Zhen Nan laughed, ”She just arrived, so I came to pick you up!”

”Let’s go, let’s go home!” Lin Huayu immediately turned and ran toward the car.

Fire Dragon, standing by the car, quickly bowed as Lin Huayu approached, ”Miss!”

Lin Huayu didn’t even glance at him, and directly climbed into the car. But as soon as she was settled, she suddenly turned and stepped back out, staring fixedly at Fire Dragon. Whether from excitement or something else, her body was trembling slightly.

Fire Dragon, not knowing why Lin Huayu was suddenly looking at him, felt puzzled yet secretly pleased. He always took pride in his appearance—could it really be the start of a grand love story between the heiress and the bodyguard?

Seeing his daughter like this, Lin Zhen Nan was quite surprised and asked quizzically, ”Huayu, what’s wrong?”

Lin Huayu did not answer him, but pointed at the bullet pendant on Fire Dragon’s chest and said, ”Where did you get this pendant from?”

Fire Dragon looked at the pendant and then back at Lin Huayu. He initially wanted to say it was his own, but since the other three had seen him snatch it from Ye Qing, he naturally did not dare to lie.

”This... I just... just took it off someone,” Fire Dragon glanced at Lin Zhen Nan and said, ”That person meant harm to Boss, and he was carrying bullets, so I took it away for safety!”

Hearing this, Lin Huayu immediately tore off the bullet pendant and, holding it carefully, examined it closely, and asked, ”Where is this person now?”

”Huayu, what exactly is going on?” Lin Zhen Nan, surprised, could not understand the allure of the bullet pendant that even made Lin Huayu delay going home to see her cousin.

Lin Huayu still did not answer, and continued to look at Fire Dragon, ”Where is he!”

”Uh...” Fire Dragon scratched his head and murmured softly, ”He... he seems to be a salesman at Yunchi Group.”

Without saying another word, Lin Huayu climbed into the front car and told the driver, ”To Yunchi Group!”
