Urban Martial Saint

”Tell him I’m out on business travel and won’t be in the office for a few days!” Zhang Daping said sternly into the phone.

”What?” The receptionist clearly hadn’t caught on.

”Just say it was the secretary who took the call!” Zhang Daping added before hanging up the phone and ignoring it further.

The seductive woman took the opportunity to wrap herself around Zhang Daping, hugging him tightly and cooed, ”Who has upset our Manager Zhang?”

”A vile person!” Zhang Daping replied angrily, still displeased with Ye Qing’s previous use of Lin Tianyou to pressure him. Therefore, he had no intention of giving Ye Qing another chance this time.

Of course, Zhang Daping had also made plans. If Lin Tianyou called him personally over this matter, he would say the Yunchi Group’s proposal had been downright poor and was unanimously rejected by the review panel. Knowing Lin Tianyou’s thin skin, he was sure he would feel too embarrassed to say anything further upon hearing this.

”Is it the Yunchi Group?” the woman asked.

”Yes,” Zhang Daping replied, then looked at the woman again and said, ”You know about Yunchi Group?”

”Of course.” The woman smiled and said, ”Speaking of which, their boss was my classmate!”

Zhang Daping sneered, dismissively stating, ”What boss, that small company, their so-called boss isn’t even as good as a janitor here!”

”You shouldn’t say that!” The seductive woman looked at Zhang Daping, batting her eyelashes, and said, ”The boss of Yunchi Group is actually a standard beauty, the recognized school beauty of our class. Later she started a business after graduation, a type of strong woman. There are still lines of people chasing her even now!”

”Really?” Zhang Daping perked up immediately; he had the least resistance to the word ”beauty.”

”Of course, if you don’t believe me, I’ll show you our graduation photo one day!” the seductive woman laughed in response, secretly sneering in her heart: Mu Qingrong, aren’t you the lofty one? Don’t you look down on me? I want to see just how much sacrifice you’d make for your company’s progress!

She and Mu Qingrong were indeed classmates, sadly their relationship was not good. By bringing up Mu Qingrong in front of Zhang Daping, she aimed to make Zhang use this chance to make life difficult for Mu Qingrong. She wanted to see firsthand how this person, who once stole all the attention from the girls in their class, could remain lofty in this harsh society!

”That’s great, when can you bring it?” Zhang Daping promptly rubbed his hands together, forgetting to behave lasciviously with the seductive woman before him.

”Not until this afternoon at the earliest, on such a hot day, you can’t expect someone to go out and get sunburned!” the seductive woman playfully scolded, ”What? Hearing there’s a beauty, you immediately stop caring about me?”

”No, no, you’re always my little darling!” Zhang Daping laughed lewdly, and began his earlier motions again.

Ye Qing was standing downstairs. The receptionist had informed him about Zhang Daping’s business trip, and Ye was at a loss as to whom else he could turn to. Yet, he was unwilling to leave; he truly did not want to give up on this business opportunity because the deal was incredibly crucial for the company.

Even if it were not for Mu Qingrong or the company, he had to fight for this for those workers who toiled for their livelihood!

Ye Qing waited there for nearly an hour, during which several individuals who seemed to have a good standing in Lin Corporation appeared. Ye approached them, hoping to show his business proposal, but they ignored him, and instead, his actions drew the attention of the security, who ousted him from Lin Corporation’s building.

Standing outside Lin Corporation’s building, Ye Qing was still unwilling to give up and continued to wait. After about another half an hour, three black sedans drove up to the building, each worth no less than a million. The license plates were notable too, especially the one with five eights, conspicuously affluent anywhere.

Ye Qing’s spirits lifted immediately; very few people in Lin Corporation could ride in such cars, and these few definitely wielded significant power within Lin Corporation.

Ye quickly walked over, and at that moment, seven or eight people walked out of Lin Corporation. At the forefront was a man in his mid-forties to fifties, dressed in a suit and looking stern and tall. While he appeared to be a businessman, an aggressive aura inexplicably emanated from him.

Ye knew this man held a high status within Lin Corporation. He hurried over, but before he could get within five meters of the man, two tall bodyguards directly blocked his path.

Unable to bypass them, Ye only managed to say from the side, ”Hello, sir, I’m Ye Qing from Yunchi Group, and I have a business proposal I’d like you to review!”

The man ignored him and walked straight to the car, where another bodyguard went to open the door.

Seeing the man was about to leave, Ye grew anxious. This was an opportunity. If the man drove off, he would miss this chance.

The two bodyguards still blocked Ye, who hesitated for half a second before stepping to the left as if to rush past.

The two bodyguards immediately moved left to block him, but Ye had only feigned the move. He distracted the bodyguards, then quickly slipped past them on the right and dashed to the car side.

”What are you doing!”

”Stop him!”

Several nearby bodyguards shouted simultaneously, and the two by the car immediately shielded the man, watching Ye anxiously.

Since the last time Lin Huayu was kidnapped, Lin Corporation’s security had become increasingly stringent. Now with Ye Qing making such a move, it was no wonder the bodyguards were nervous!

Three bodyguards immediately came over to grab Ye Qing. Although Ye Qing hadn’t recovered his strength, his reflexes were still sharp. He dodged left and right, avoiding the bodyguards, rushed to the side of the car, and handed over the project proposal.

”Please take a moment to look at this, it will only take a little bit of your time, thank you!” Ye Qing said.

Two bodyguards by the car door grabbed Ye Qing; the man gave Ye Qing a glance, then turned his head forward, completely ignoring Ye Qing.

Five more people came over and pinned Ye Qing to the ground, one of the bodyguards delivered a heavy punch to Ye Qing’s chest.

Ye Qing felt a suffocating pain. If it had been earlier, this punch wouldn’t have caused him much harm. However, he was not the same as before; this punch inflicted significant damage.

”Drag him away!” a bodyguard commanded in a deep voice.

Three people dragged Ye Qing into a nearby alley and pinned him against the wall to begin searching him.

By then, two cars had already driven away; Ye Qing couldn’t help but feel disappointed. It seemed like it would be difficult even to hand out his project proposal.

”No need to search, I’m just here to deliver a project proposal, I mean no harm!” Ye Qing said, trying to turn around, but a bodyguard slapped him hard across the face.

”Behave!” This bodyguard had a large dragon tattooed on his neck, looking quite fierce and striking hard.

Ye Qing took a punch and frowned. He hadn’t done anything, and these people were beating him for no reason, and they were hitting hard. It was too much!

”Let me go!” Ye Qing said sternly.

”Shut up!” the Tattooed Dragon Man slapped Ye Qing again.

Ye Qing became angry and tried to turn around. However, he had not yet regained his strength; his body twisted halfway, then he was pinned down again by two people.

”Damn it, still struggling, are you looking for death!” Tattooed Dragon Man roared angrily, waved his hand, and said, ”You two let go, I’ll deal with him personally!”

The two bodyguards laughed and let go. Ye Qing turned to look at Tattooed Dragon Man, frowned slightly but said nothing. He was also angry, but he knew his current situation; if a fight started, he would undoubtedly be at a disadvantage.

Ye Qing picked up the project proposal from the ground, turned around to leave, but Tattooed Dragon Man suddenly came at him, aiming a kick at his abdomen.

Ye Qing turned to avoid it and said sternly, ”What are you doing!”

”What am I doing? Playing with you!” Tattooed Dragon Man glanced at Ye Qing and said, ”You’ve got some nerve, even daring to stop our big boss. If I don’t teach you a lesson today, who knows how many more clueless people will come in the future!”

”I don’t have time to play with you!” Ye Qing retorted sternly and turned to leave, but two other bodyguards blocked his path.

”Looks like you have no choice but to play today!” Tattooed Dragon Man said as he came up and kicked at Ye Qing again.

Ye Qing frowned tightly, sidestepped, and backed up a few steps. Tattooed Dragon Man pursued closely, throwing another kick. Tattooed Dragon Man was quite strong, and his kicks were merciless. Had this kick landed, given Ye Qing’s current condition, he probably wouldn’t have been able to stand up again.

Ye Qing dodged several kicks in succession. Tattooed Dragon Man, failing to hit his target multiple times, felt humiliated. With a roar, he chased after Ye Qing, throwing punches and kicks like a violent storm.

Just because Ye Qing lacked strength didn’t mean he lacked fighting skills. Seeing Tattooed Dragon Man raising his foot, Ye Qing suddenly stepped forward, avoided the attack, and kicked the leg Tattooed Dragon Man was standing on.

Tattooed Dragon Man lost his balance and immediately fell to the ground. The force with which he had kicked added to the severity of his fall, causing him to groan in pain.

The two men nearby were immediately stunned. Tattooed Dragon Man was known for his fighting ability, and they had thought of Ye Qing as just a weak scholar. Yet unexpectedly, Tattooed Dragon Man had suffered such a setback in front of him.

Furious, Tattooed Dragon Man yelled, got up, and chased after Ye Qing again, his attacks even more ferocious, as if he intended to cripple Ye Qing.

Ye Qing kept retreating. If his strength had been restored, these men would have been no match for him. But now, like a tiger fallen to the plains and bullied by dogs, all he could do was keep dodging, looking for an opportunity to strike.

Tattooed Dragon Man was too careless again and Ye Qing seized the opportunity to throw him down several times. While Ye Qing remained unharmed, Tattooed Dragon Man ended up with a bruised face and bleeding from his mouth and nose, which made the two onlookers snicker endlessly.

Tattooed Dragon Man was on the verge of madness, but now looking at Ye Qing, he felt a bit fearful and dared not continue chasing after him. He wanted to call the other two for help, but couldn’t swallow his pride; the situation became extremely awkward.

”Fire Dragon, what’s going on, why haven’t you left!” Just then, a man in his thirties walked into the alley. The man had a cold facial expression and sharp, eagle-like eyes, and his hands were calloused, clearly no ordinary character!
