The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

The Xu family’s heads suddenly lifted, what, what did it mean? Reporting to the central judicial office?

Is it what they think it is? Not only can the Xu family be absolved from their crimes and recover their assets, but even Xu Zhensheng has secured a legitimate position?

The county magistrate looked at them, ”Aren’t you going to express your gratitude?”

”Thank you, thank you for the great favor.” The three members of the Xu family stood up, supporting each other in a daze.

Initially, they never expected such rewards; they just hoped to be absolved from their crimes, and didn’t even consider leaving the southwest.

Ms. Lin’s eyes turned red, and tears uncontrollably fell.

Shu Yu handed her a handkerchief, and said softly, ”The current Minister of the Ministry of Central Judicial Office is Lord Jing. He is upright and favored by the Emperor. As long as Xu Zhensheng follows him diligently, he is bound to be promoted. The Xu family’s future will be brighter, you can rest assured.”

Ms. Lin nodded repeatedly, ”Yes, finally, finally the bitterness is over.”

She was really too happy, happy to the point that all this felt unreal.

They can return to the capital, her son can work in an office, and in a couple of years, he can marry and have children, and their family will be overjoyed.

The Xu family of three retreated to the side, slowly digesting the content of the Imperial Decree.

Now the county magistrate continued to read, next was the Fang Family.

The Fang Family hadn’t done much in this operation, but Ma Lu, along with several of his brothers, had helped Qi Lie accomplish many tasks.

However, Ma Lu is still a convict, and Qi Lie didn’t take him from exile before he left.

Now with this Imperial Decree, he and a few brothers can set off for the capital.

As Ma Lu’s wife, Fang Xiyue naturally was pardoned and could leave with her child and him.

But Father Fang and Aunt Fang were not pardoned.

Fang Xiyue immediately became anxious, ”My father and mother...”

Shu Yu promptly stopped her, shook his head at her, and Aunt Fang also immediately pulled her. Fang Xiyue could only bite her lips and suppress her inner anxiety, quietly awaiting the completion of the decree reading.

Then, they followed everyone in bowing, ”Thank you for the great favor.”

After rising, Fang Xiyue somewhat painfully embraced Aunt Fang, ”Mother, what should we do?”

Ma Lu reassured her on the side, ”It’s okay, Lord Qi assured me, once he returns to the capital and finishes his tasks, he will help overturn the Fang Family’s case, and then both mother-in-law and father-in-law will be released.”

Shu Yu nodded, ”Lord Qi is indeed reliable; what he promises, he’ll definitely accomplish. You just follow Ma Lu to the capital first. As Ma Lu works with Lord Qi, if he makes achievements, perhaps he can represent the Fang Family. It won’t be long, just a few months at minimum, a year at most, before you can reunite.”

”Yes, yes, Ayue, don’t rush. We haven’t suffered here; let’s be patient and wait a bit longer.” Father Fang now saw things clearly.

The Fang family never was wealthy; he used his hunting skills to support the family, although they never wanted for food and clothing, life wasn’t much different from now.

The only difference was between being registered as criminals or citizens. Now Ayue and Ma Lu are free from criminal registration, and their children will be citizens too. For Father Fang and his wife, that’s already sufficient.

Fang Xiyue felt reassured by this and gradually calmed down, ”Father, Mother, don’t worry, Ma Lu and I will surely bring you out.”
