The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

This decision was correct. If that day hadn’t been the day of action, Qi Lie’s people wouldn’t have taken action.

But originally, they were there that day to capture him, just not wanting to cause too much commotion. Unexpectedly, Liu Jie tried to escape, and they had no choice but to engage in a fight on the spot.

Both sides suffered casualties.

Shu Yu pondered, ”Who was that injured young man, did Shu Feng know?”

”He didn’t know, only said that Liu Jie cared a lot about him, willing to risk his life for him.”

”How did the youth get injured?”

Meng Yunzheng looked at her, his tone somewhat complicated, ”He was injured by Xu Zhensheng.”

Shu Yu, ”...” Who? Xu Zhensheng?

Meng Yunzheng nodded, ”Shu Feng said that the people of Righteous Dao Village were terrified. Steward Yu initially tried to take the manor’s officers up to block them, but finding it unmanageable, he immediately rode to the county town for reinforcements. The others in the village didn’t dare to go out. At the time, Xu Zhensheng was by the river catching fish. Upon hearing the commotion, he ran over, but by then, both sides were too entangled.”

Originally, that young man was hidden by two people. Qi Lie’s men couldn’t find him for a while.

But Xu Zhensheng, having lived in Righteous Dao Village for many years, was familiar with every nook and cranny, and he found the youth.

Xu Zhensheng told the youth that he knew a shortcut to escape Righteous Dao Village and could help him.

At first, the youth didn’t believe him, but then Qi Lie’s men found their hiding spot. The two protecting the youth engaged with them, leaving the youth with no escape route. Seeing Xu Zhensheng urgently wanting to rescue him, he decided to walk towards him.

Just two steps, Xu Zhensheng drew a dagger and held it against the youth’s neck.

Then he came out with the youth, forcing Liu Jie and the others to lay down their weapons and surrender.

No one expected this turn of events. Liu Jie didn’t understand why Xu Zhensheng got involved, and Xu Zhensheng didn’t say what he knew. He just pointed at Shu Feng, saying he’s not a good person, and anyone with him definitely isn’t either.

Shu Feng almost coughed up blood, which is why later when he fled here, Liu Jie ignored him. If Shu Feng hadn’t captured the Dongqing Temple master, Liu Jie might have abandoned him outright.

After Xu Zhensheng grabbed the youth, the situation did change, but he was still too naive and inexperienced.

Liu Jie pretended to lower his weapon, but then bent down and threw hidden weapons straight at Xu Zhensheng.

Two hidden weapons, one aimed at Xu Zhensheng’s wrist, the other at his neck.

Fortunately, the one aimed at his neck was blocked by someone who had been watching closely.

But the other one hit Xu Zhensheng’s wrist directly, and in pain, he dropped the dagger to the ground.

The youth immediately got up and fled, but who would have known Xu Zhensheng had another dagger in his other hand, and he plunged it into the youth’s abdomen desperately.

Liu Jie’s eyes widened, and he rushed towards Xu Zhensheng to kill him.

Their fight resumed, with Liu Jie hating Xu Zhensheng fiercely and slashing at his chest.

In the end, Liu Jie dared not stay and fight longer, ordering his men to hold off Qi Lie’s forces, while he carried the youth on his back and escaped Righteous Dao Village, escorted by two others.

When they left Righteous Dao Village, there were only four of them including Shu Feng, all others had perished.

After escaping Righteous Dao Village, they gathered the team they have now.

When Shu Yu heard this, her face changed, ”What happened to Xu Zhensheng?”
