The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Aunt Hong was startled, turning her head towards the alley entrance where there was no one around.

But Ying Xi had already moved quickly, and soon enough, had dragged out a frail-looking man.

”What are you doing? Let me go, I don’t even know you.” The man struggled, trying to shake off Ying Xi’s hand.

Ying Xi twisted his arms behind him, exerting force suddenly, causing the man to howl in pain, ”Let go, let go of me. Who are you, why are you grabbing me?”

”Watching us sneakily, yet asking who we are?”

”Who’s watching you, I’m just passing by.” The man refused to admit, but Ying Xi had already dragged him over to Shu Yu.

Shu Yu examined him; she didn’t recognize him.

Unexpectedly, Aunt Hong beside her squinted her eyes, looking for a while before suddenly exclaiming, ”Wei Tang?”

Shu Yu turned sharply to look at her, ”You know him?”

At first, she thought the man was after her, but it seemed he was after Aunt Hong?

Aunt Hong furrowed her brows tightly, nodding slightly, then glanced at Little Song Le, hesitating to speak.

Shu Yu noticed her gaze and recalled the name she had blurted out earlier.

Wei??

She understood and said to Little Song Le, ”Lele, you go first with Ying Xi to the carriage.”

Little Song Le complied, nodding and looked at Wei Tang before moving to Ying Xi’s side.

Ying Xi released Wei Tang, who immediately tried to run as soon as he regained freedom. Unexpectedly, after a single step, he was kicked in the back, falling directly onto the ground.

As he tried to get up again, he was grabbed once more, this time by Shu Yu.

Earlier, Ying Xi had dragged him from the alley entrance; now Shu Yu pulled him back into the alley.

Wei Tang, ”...” Why are you treating me like this?

Aunt Hong’s eyes were wide with astonishment; she could see that the girl named Ying Xi beside Lady Lu was skilled but hadn’t expected Lady Lu herself to be so adept, as she was the one who had kicked Wei Tang earlier.

Aunt Hong looked at the carriage where Little Song Le was being carried by Ying Xi, then at the two people entering the alley, hesitated briefly, and ultimately followed after them.

Turning into the alley, she saw Wei Tang being pushed by Shu Yu and sitting on the ground.

Seeing Aunt Hong approach, Shu Yu tilted her head slightly and asked, ”Is this someone from the Wei family?”

”Yes, yes, this is Wei Tang, Gouwa’s Mother’s brother, Gouwa’s uncle.” Aunt Hong felt very strange, ”Back then the Wei family clearly left the capital as a whole, why appear here suddenly?”

Saying this, Aunt Hong stepped forward, frowned and asked, ”Wei Tang, what are you doing here? You all came back, where is Gouwa’s Mother?”

Wei Tang stood up, brushed the dirt off his clothes, glanced at the two people in front of him, and then said, ”My sister is dead.”

Aunt Hong’s face changed dramatically, her eyes widened suddenly, ”How? How is it possible? How did she die, when did this happen?”

Wei Tang replied impatiently, ”Why do you have so many questions? Anyway, she’s dead.”

”You, you...”

Shu Yu frowned slightly, her expression not looking too good. Fortunately, she had Little Song Le follow Ying Xi, not hearing these words.

Yet Shu Yu remained suspicious of Wei Tang’s words.

She patted Aunt Hong’s shoulder, telling her to calm down, then looked at Wei Tang.

”Your sister is gone, what are you doing at the Hong’s? And being so sneaky, what are you planning?”
