The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

In the days that followed, the busiest person was Yun Qide.

On one hand, he had to help Xiang Weinan train the new shopkeeper, while on the other, he had to pay attention to Shu Yu’s new shop.

Shu Yu took him to see the shop and also told him about the situation of several shops in Dongan Province and Changjin Prefecture, as well as the opening activities.

Yun Qide listened slightly surprised, and after contemplating, said, ”Here in the capital, merchants from all over the country gather, and activities like raffles have been held before.”

So it’s not too rare, as for jingles, they are still effective in Dongan Province, after all, the banner of supplying sunflower oil to the palace convinces many people.

But here in the capital, the effect is not significant; there’s plenty here that supplies to the palace, of all kinds of food and uses that you can imagine.

As for that set from Changjin Prefecture, it’s also not suitable.

In Changjin Prefecture, promotions are strong, relying on small retailers roaming the streets and alleys to influence people.

It’s not workable in the capital, because the forces here are intricate, even some small retailers themselves have backing, and may not benefit Shu Yu.

Certainly, there are many disadvantages for them, but there are also advantages.

Manager Yun said, ”The boss bought this shop well, once acquired, it became famous among circles of dignitaries. Plus, the conflict you had with Miss Wu in the cosmetic shop last time was seen by many people. Now, many in the noble ladies’ circles are following, just waiting for your opening day. If you invite some influential figures to oversee that day, your reputation in the noble circles will be established. But Lu’s doesn’t only sell expensive sunflower oil, it also has melon seeds and instant noodles for ordinary folks, so widespread promotion among ordinary people is necessary too.”

As he spoke, he paused, ”Actually, right now we have a uniquely rare opportunity.”

Shu Yu touched her chin, ”Promotion among ordinary people...”

She couldn’t help but look at Meng Yunzheng, who was studying not far away, as an idea was forming in her mind.

Probably feeling the undeniable gaze, Meng Yunzheng lifted his head, confronting two pairs of ardent eyes, ”What’s up with you guys?”

Shu Yu and Manager Yun were both startled, turning simultaneously, only then realizing the other was also looking at Meng Yunzheng.

The two of them, ”...”

Unexpectedly, did the two of them think alike?

Seeing Shu Yu had also thought of it, Manager Yun cleared his throat and said, ”If Young Master Meng becomes the top scorer, that would be the best promotion.”

Perhaps because Meng Yunzheng had once saved his family of three, Manager Yun had inexplicable confidence in him.

However, upon saying this, he feared adding too much pressure on Meng Yunzheng and Shu Yu, hurriedly added, ”Of course, that’s too definitive, we should still think of other ways, as a backup.”

Shu Yu nodded deeply, ”Hmm, you have a point.”

Actually, she also had great confidence in her fiancé...

As she thought, she looked back at Meng Yunzheng again.

Unexpectedly, he also just lifted his head, and as their gazes met, Meng Yunzheng squinted, were these two discussing him? Right?

Yun Qide and Shu Yu, after finishing their discussion, left, as he had to go back for more thoughts.

Shu Yu occasionally checked on the shop’s renovation progress, while also seeking suitable staff.

The rest was simply waiting for the exam results to be announced.

However, just the day before the results were released, Shu Yu suddenly heard a piece of news.
