The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Aunt Hong took a few steps forward, looking somewhat happy yet nervous at Shu Yu, ”Lady Lu, Lady Lu, you...”

Shu Yu lowered her head and gently nudged Little Song Le, ”Aren’t you going to call her aunt?”

Little Song Le took a deep breath secretly, raised his small head, and faced the startled Aunt Hong, his voice clear and bright, ”Aunt.”

Aunt Hong widened her eyes, staring at the little child carved in jade in front of her, not reacting for a good while.

She looked at Little Song Le, then raised her head to look at Shu Yu, and only after a moment did she ask in a dry throat, ”This, is this... Gouwa?”

”Yes, we changed his name to Song Le, Le from joy.”

Aunt Hong opened her mouth, and then lowered her head to carefully scrutinize the child in front of her.

Indeed, there was still a resemblance to Gouwa’s original appearance, but it was different now. This Gouwa was not only clean and as pink and tender as a child under Guanyin, but his eyes were bright and clear, evidently just like a young master from a wealthy family.

Aunt Hong squatted down, her hands trembling a bit wishing to embrace Little Song Le, but seeing his clean and noble attire, quickly withdrew her hands.

Unexpectedly, halfway through, Little Song Le suddenly threw himself into her arms, ”Aunt.”

Aunt Hong hurriedly hugged him, her eyes suddenly reddening, she sniffed a bit, ”Hmm, hmm, Aunt is here, it’s Gouwa, it’s really Gouwa.”

She cried and laughed, overwhelmed with joy.

Originally, on her birthday today, she was watching the lively scene outside but wasn’t very happy. She didn’t expect Gouwa to come back; this was the best birthday gift she could have today.

Little Song Le also smiled broadly, staying in Aunt’s arms, giving him a feeling of reassurance.

However, all the other people present were dumbfounded, the ones here today were family members who had a relatively good relationship with the Hong Family and naturally knew about Gouwa.

They also heard that Gouwa was taken away by an uncle from his mother’s side three years ago, who left the capital and hadn’t returned since.

Many people thought they might never meet him again, although Aunt Hong said the other party’s family was quite well-off.

But what good is wealth? This uncle had never been seen, just a distant relative, the relationship was quite distant. Not to mention taking care of Gouwa, even no relationship with Gouwa’s father; how could he take good care of the child? Who knew what would become of Gouwa in the future.

Now it seems, unexpectedly, he was taken care of this well?

Ms. Yu was even more shocked; her eyes were about to pop out. Her sister-in-law beside her nudged her with an elbow, whispering, ”Didn’t you meet the lady who took Gouwa before? Why didn’t you recognize her just now?”

Ms. Yu slapped her thigh hard, ”It’s been three years, how would I remember?” No wonder she found the lady familiar; they had actually met before.

Then her eyes brightened, this lady must be wealthy, seeing how well Gouwa was dressed proved he was living well at his uncle’s house.

Thinking of this, Ms. Yu quickly stepped forward, very dutifully helping Aunt Hong up, ”Mother, don’t be too agitated, Gouwa coming back is a good thing. Haven’t you been constantly talking about him these past years, now you see, Gouwa is doing very well. Enough of standing here, this lady has come a long way, whatever you have to say, sit down and talk.”

Aunt Hong came to her senses, looked up at Shu Yu, and awkwardly said, ”I was too excited, Lady Lu, please pardon me.”
