The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1131: Chapter 1131: Yu, What Should I Do?

But Ms. Kang is different. After she became pregnant, Madam Yao didn’t let her worry about other things, leaving her with too much time to overthink.

Besides, Yao Po and Wang Jiayi don’t have many chances to meet, so he doesn’t understand her, but Ms. Kang has seen her more often.

What’s wrong with Wang Jiayi’s health? She’s perfectly fine, walking steadily and swiftly. How could she fall for no reason?

With just a bit of attention, the old women assigned to tidy her guest room quickly understood her intentions.

How could Ms. Kang not be angry?

”Whether it’s the Yao siblings or that Wang Jiayi, as soon as they arrived in our house, they caused chaos like chickens and dogs flying, utter mess. I really want to send them back to Huajiang Prefecture immediately.”

Shu Yu found it strange, ”They’ve been here for over a month, right? Still haven’t found a chance to send them back?”

Ms. Kang sighed, ”There was a chance earlier, but over this month, a lot happened in the capital. With the chaos outside, we didn’t dare send anyone back at this critical juncture. Especially when Father-in-law is still working at the Ministry of Industry, and it’s the Minister of Public Works who got involved. So many people from the Ministry are implicated. If we suddenly send people away at this time, it will inevitably draw attention and cause more trouble.”

Shu Yu understood. Recently, the entire capital has been heavily guarded, with occasional news of officials’ family members being harmed, particularly serious with the Ministry of Industry.

Fortunately, Yao Tianqin had just returned from the southwest and had no entanglements with court officials, plus everyone knew his character.

So he was considered the most uninvolved person in the Ministry of Industry.

”Oh no?” Ms. Kang suddenly exclaimed in shock, startling Shu Yu, ”What, what happened?”

Ms. Kang turned her head, ”Originally, that Wang Jiayi thought I couldn’t have children, so she was eager to become Brother Po’s main wife. Now that she knows I’m pregnant, wouldn’t she...”

Shu Yu frowned. This Wang Jiayi didn’t seem like someone who would back down easily, so she might very well harm the child in Ms. Kang’s womb.

Ms. Kang immediately became tense, ”No, I must drive them away at once. As long as they are in the Yao residence, I’ll be on edge.”

Even if they stayed in the capital, she wouldn’t feel at ease.

Saying that, Ms. Kang stood up, but before stepping out the door, she came back again.

With a worried expression, she asked Shu Yu, ”Yu, what excuse should I use to make them leave?”

Shu Yu, ”...”

In this regard, a large family is not as easy as a countryside household.

If her grandmother were here, whether to let someone stay in the house was up to her, and if she didn’t want to see troublesome people, she could simply chase them out with a broom.

But in a large family, one has to consider their reputation, afraid of gossip that might damage their name. Even if they truly despise them, they have to greet them with a smile.

”Yu, you’re smart. What do you think I should do?” Ms. Kang held Shu Yu’s hand, her face full of hope.

This problem stumped her.

”Yu...” Ms. Kang looked pitiful.

Shu Yu thought for a moment and said to Ms. Kang, ”I think you should talk to Brother Po about this and ask what should be done. I believe it’s not just you who cares about this child; he and Uncle Yao and Aunt Yao care too. When it comes to matters concerning the child, no one would take risks.”

Madam Yao understands the inner household struggles better than Ms. Kang, and what she thinks might be even more serious.
