The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1088: Chapter 1088: Going to the Yao Family

Shu Yu thought for a moment, ”Let’s go to the Yao Family.”

She hadn’t been to the capital before, and among the people she knew there, she could only count Qi Chan and Yao Tianqin.

Both had taken care of her and had even given her gifts on her Coming-of-age Day.

So, coming to the capital to visit with local specialties was just proper etiquette.

Actually, if it came to visiting the Qi Residence or the Yao Family, Shu Yu would prefer going to the Yao Family. Among the family, she only knew Lord Qi at the Qi Residence. Oh, no, she had also exchanged glances with the young Lord Qi earlier on the road to exile, but she wasn’t sure if he remembered her.

But at the Yao Family, she knew everyone.

Yao Tianqin, Yao Po, Madam Yao, and the Eldest Young Mistress, she had met them all, and the relationship was quite good, allowing her to be more at ease.

It’s just that Yao Tianqin was completely focused on his projects and not very attentive to other matters, not as knowledgeable as the influential Qi Chan.

Now that Qi Chan was not around, Shu Yu intended to visit the Yao Family to see the situation.

The Yao Family’s place was a bit far. Before Yao Tianqin was exiled, he lived in his own house, which was small and remote.

After being reinstated, he returned to the capital and was instead rewarded with a mansion by the Emperor.

Looking at it now, the mansion seemed quite nice.

Shu Yu had Yao Tianqin’s address, as the Yao Family wrote a letter to her father after returning to the capital, which included the precise location.

Shu Yu raised her head, looking at the courtyard in front, exhaling a breath.

”Miss, I’ll go ask.”

”Okay.”

Ying Xi was about to step forward when suddenly, after taking a step, she said, ”Miss, it’s an idiot.”

Shu Yu, ”...” I suspect you’re insulting me.

Ying Xi realized and quickly said, ”Miss, I’m not talking about you, I mean...”

Before she could finish explaining, Shu Yu had already looked in the direction Ying Xi pointed.

And indeed, she saw the idiot.

Unexpectedly, the Young Master Yao they met on the boat had serendipitously crossed paths again here.

Yao Tianqin, the Yao Family, Young Master Yao.

Fate is truly mysterious; it seems that Young Master Yao has a deep connection with the Yao Family.

Young Master Yao also saw them, his eyes slightly brightening, followed by a sneer as if recalling something.

The girl beside him was not the same one who had blocked Shu Yu on the boat.

This girl had an obviously more volatile temper, stepping forward a few steps when she saw Shu Yu and Ying Xi, saying, ”It’s you two? Ha, and you say you weren’t deliberately trying to seduce my brother. On the boat, appearing in front of us from time to time was one thing, but who would’ve thought you’d follow us here after disembarking. Truly shameless.”

Shu Yu was silent, thinking that if she were to say her presence here was a coincidence, the other party wouldn’t believe it.

So she chose not to explain.

She simply gave Ying Xi a look, and the latter cursed, ”Idiot.”

The Yao siblings immediately fumed, ”What did you say?”

Ying Xi didn’t bother with them, stepping forward to ask the Yao Family’s gatekeeper, ”Is Lord Yao at home?”

The gatekeeper opened his mouth, just about to answer, when the Yao girl sharply interrupted, ”Don’t answer her, these two master and servant mean no good. They deliberately showed up in front of us on the ship, who knows what they’re after by inquiring about Lord Yao?”

Shu Yu rolled up her sleeves, feeling like hitting the idiot.

Ying Xi immediately said, ”Miss, leave the hitting to me.”

As she clenched her fist, there came a puzzled voice from the avenue outside the Yao Family’s gate, ”Lady Lu?”
