The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1063: Chapter 1063: Two White Horses Arrive

After passing through the alfalfa field, several people quickly arrived at the place where sunflowers were planted.

The sunflowers had been planted for almost a month, and they were still in the seedling stage, but even as seedlings, they were already quite large.

This kind of weather was obviously very favorable for sunflowers, and they were growing rapidly.

Daniu and Shu Yu talked about the issues of fertilizer application and pests. In this regard, Shu Yu was not as experienced as Daniu and mostly listened to his advice.

Moving on to the hiring of workers on the manor, everyone had been working diligently over the past month.

Moreover, because it was the first time planting sunflowers, everyone was quite concerned. Occasionally, even in the hot midday sun, someone would come to take a look, and there was almost always someone watching over the field all day.

Just as they were talking about hiring workers, Ms. Guo happened to come over, happily running in their direction.

”Boss Lu.”

Shu Yu looked up and noticed that there was someone else beside Ms. Guo, someone who looked somewhat familiar.

As they got closer, Ms. Guo excitedly spoke up, ”It really is Boss Lu.”

The man beside her also stepped forward, speaking somewhat nervously, ”Village Chief Lu.”

Shu Yu looked him up and down, ”Have we met somewhere before?”

”Yes, for the past month, I’ve been working at the Lu Xiang Manor,” the helper said, mentioning he had attended the housewarming banquet at the Lu family’s home yesterday.

Ms. Guo’s husband was named Surplus Rice, and although he was somewhat thin, his dark skin gave him a capable appearance.

With that, Shu Yu remembered him.

It turned out that this man was involved in repairing their large house.

Previously, Little Ya’er had mentioned that in Ms. Guo’s family, there were only her and her sick mother-in-law, with her husband not being around as he went to the county town to find work. Therefore, when she encountered danger before, she didn’t run to Ms. Guo’s house, fearing she might bring trouble to them.

Who would have thought there would be such a connection?

Ms. Guo walked over to Shu Yu, somewhat embarrassed, and said, ”Boss Lu, as you know, my husband has been working at your place for a month. You can see he’s diligent and willing to endure hardships. Now that he’s back, can he also work at the manor?”

Ms. Guo herself had been hired by Shu Yu, and she was efficient in her work.

But if Surplus Rice couldn’t be hired by Shu Yu, he would have to continue finding work in the county town, which wasn’t a sustainable solution.

So when Ms. Guo heard that Shu Yu was coming, she brought her husband over to give it a try.

Shu Yu thought for a moment, ”Sure, you can come sign a contract in a bit.”

Ms. Guo was overjoyed and quickly pulled Surplus Rice to thank Shu Yu.

Shu Yu waved her hand, and since she had finished looking at the sunflowers, she planned to head back to the manor due to the hot weather.

Lu Dasong didn’t want to leave just yet; he wanted to walk around this hundred acres and take it all in.

Shu Yu let him be, just reminding him not to stay outside too long to avoid heatstroke.

She then led Ying Xi and Zhou Qiao towards the manor. However, just as they reached the main road, they saw a carriage coming from afar, followed by two white horses.

As soon as Shu Yu saw those two horses, her eyes lit up. The horses were vibrant and beautiful, truly eye-catching.

Just as she was thinking this, the carriage and horses in front of her stopped.

A head popped out from the carriage, ”Yu!! Is it really you?”

Shu Yu was taken aback, ”Yuehua? Where are you coming from?”

Ding Yuehua chuckled with a grin and quickly got off the carriage.

”I came back from Donggu County, and I brought you a gift, see, these two white horses, do you like them?”
