Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 502: Chapter 311: Cleaning Wounds

Second Mother quickly brought a basin of warm water over, and Xiaomi hurriedly told her mother to go about her own business while she cleaned the bloodstains off the little fox.

”Then take your time, and when you’re done, put some medicine on it. I’ll go make dinner.”

”Alright, don’t worry, Mom, I know what to do.”

Xiaomi nodded repeatedly, and Second Mother wasn’t worried. Xiaomi was very meticulous and would surely take good care of the little fox.

But as soon as Second Mother left, Xiaomi closed the doors and windows and with a wave of her hand, the little fox, the water basin, and the washcloth all entered the space.

Then she lay on the bed herself and followed them into the space.

”Master, are we going to bathe the little fox?”

As soon as she entered, Ling’er spun around happily. Xiaomi was already certain that this invisible, intangible breeze was actually Ling’er’s true form.

”We can’t bathe it directly; just use the cloth to wipe it clean.”

”I’ll do it then,” the swirling breeze left Xiaomi’s side, and then a stream of water from the basin shot out.

In Xiaomi’s astonished gaze, the water column spun around the little fox, who seemed not quite recovered from the shock.

The clean water quickly became murky, and the dirt on the little fox disappeared swiftly.

In no more than a few breaths’ time, the filthy little fox was pristine, its fur all fluffy, as if it had never touched a drop of water.

”Ling’er, how did you do that?”

Xiaomi, shocked, reached out to touch the little fox, finding it fluffy and without any hint of moisture!

”I just let the water flow over the little fox, and the dirt naturally washed away.”

”Did you completely control the water to leave the little fox’s fur afterward?”

It seemed so amazing no matter how she thought about it.

So impressive.

Suddenly, she thought of a possibility: ”Ling’er, can you control anything in this space? If a person were in here, could you extract the water from their body directly?”

If that’s really possible, it would be incredible!

Like an unbeatable magic tool!

But in the next moment, Ling’er dispelled her fantasy.

”What are you thinking, Master, of course that’s impossible. I’m not a water controller.”

Tsk, Xiaomi actually felt a momentary disappointment.

”Then how did you do what you just did?”

If Ling’er had a physical form, Xiaomi might have rolled her eyes at this point.

”Master, you can do it too. In the space, anything that’s not living can be controlled at will. Didn’t you control the threshing and husking of grains with your mind before in the space?”

”Huh?” Xiaomi was stunned, then giggled foolishly, ”For years you’ve been managing the space, I forgot about that.”

Ling’er didn’t mock her master and instead brought over a medical kit: ”Master, the little fox’s wounds need cleaning and bandaging.”

”I’ll do it.”

Saying that, Xiaomi stroked the little fox’s head, ”Don’t move, I’m going to heal you. Applying medicine will help you recover faster.”

As she spoke, her other hand already took out a disposable blade, like the type used for shaving, with both sides usable, very sharp.

Holding both sides, she gently applied pressure and snapped it into two pieces.

The little fox seemed to understand Xiaomi’s words, allowing her to lift its injured leg.

The blade gently skimmed the abscessed area of the wound, releasing yellowish-white pus with a foul odor.

She quickly cleaned the wound, applied iodine with a cotton ball, sprinkled a little medicinal powder, and wrapped it with gauze.

Finally, she tied a bow on the leg.

”Okay, from now on, come into the space every night. Ling’er, remember to take good care of the little fox, give it some food from the space, like fish soup or milk powder.”

”Master, can we let the little fox stay in the space? We don’t have many animals here.”

Ling’er was always thinking about expanding the species of flora and fauna in the space, the more the better.

”Coming into the space frequently is fine, but staying inside all the time won’t do. Don’t worry, tomorrow I’ll head up the mountain myself and look for bees. I’m sure I’ll find them.”

Today when she went to the market, she had hoped to see if anyone was selling honey, but realized upon arrival that really good stuff doesn’t need to be in the market, it’s already bought up.

Just like the eggs from their chickens, ducks, and geese, in all these years, they’ve never really set up a stall at the market.

Coming out of the space, she placed the little fox into the small nest Mother had made. After drinking the Spiritual Spring water and washing its body, with the wound bandaged, the little fox now seemed extremely docile.

Lying quietly in its little nest, it began to sleep.

It appeared to be improving significantly, and Xiaomi felt relieved.

Only then did she carry the dirty water outside to dispose of it, then took the bamboo cage to wash it by the pond.

The bamboo cage was still in good condition, just a bit dirty. Once cleaned, it might still come in handy.

There was still a cartload of fish left, placed under the shade behind the house. Jiang Hu was scooping some water out and then fetching fresh water to pour in.

Changing the water would make the fish live a little longer.

”Dad, we already have a lot of chickens and rabbits at home. Can we start selling them again?”

”Yes, we discussed it with your Uncle Liu the other day. He said the manager would come over in a few days. Just like before, they’ll come to pick up goods every ten days. We decide how much and what to sell.”

When they moved to Xiangmu Village, they didn’t bring over many poultry, and now they have only developed twenty to thirty bamboo rats, with even fewer geese and ducks.

However, the chicken, rabbits, and wild poultry have bred quickly, and now there are many, with each type numbering over a hundred.

Moreover, after nearly ten months of development, the first batches of young chickens and rabbits are now grown and have started laying eggs and having babies.

After more than half a year’s accumulation, these poultry are ready to be sold again.

Xiaomi listened absent-mindedly as her dad talked about recent plans while she scrubbed the cage.

Gradually, her mind wandered.

Actually, raising more pigs at home has a lot of benefits too.

Like back in Fu’an Village, when everyone came to their house to exchange for manure water, if they raised more pigs, there would be a lot of pig dung too.

Since they couldn’t use it all themselves, they could distribute some to the villagers in exchange for pig feed.

Things like sweet potato vines, radish tops, extra cabbage leaves, and so on.

Manure is crucial for growing crops; all farmers know that the more manure, the better the crops grow.

This way, it’s a win-win situation. Others in the village get extra manure, and it makes feeding their pigs easier without having to work so hard to find pig feed.

As for being discovered, there was no worry since there’s no established history, and nobody knows about Little Lucky Star’s existence. They’d just think the manure works well because the crops grow well.

The more she thought about it, the better it seemed. Besides, when the sows at home give birth later, she planned to secretly take a few into the space for Ling’er to help raise.

In fact, Xiaomi sometimes thought, with so many things in the space, even if they only brought some out during meals to exchange with what’s at home, it was just a drop in the bucket for the stockpile there.

Logically speaking, there was no need to raise so many.

But since the space required planting and breeding to upgrade, and Ling’er said the more varieties, the faster the upgrades,

well, since the warehouse looked like it could never be filled, might as well keep planting and raising endlessly.

After mulling over these thoughts, Xiaomi snapped back to reality to see Jiang Hu had finished his tasks and was preparing to head back, so she promptly asked him.

”Dad, do we still have honey at home?”

They had bought some honey before, and Uncle Liu had also sent some. There was both truly wild honey from the mountains and farm-produced honey.

It has to be said, Mrs. Liu had great skills. Besides game from home, she often got them rare things, and honey was one of them.

They say it was pure acacia honey, exceptionally delicious, and although Xiaomi didn’t like sweets, she occasionally steeped some honey water to drink.

Actually, asking Mrs. Liu for help to buy a box of honey wouldn’t be difficult, but after some thought, Xiaomi decided not to trouble her.

She’s planning to go early into the mountains tomorrow, bringing Xiao Hei and Xiao Mi, and she’s sure it won’t be a problem.

”We still have quite a bit of honey left. Yesterday your Uncle Liu came over and brought another jar. Do you want some?”

”Yes, Dad, you go ahead, I’ll make some to drink.”

With that, she ran back with the bamboo cage. Second Mother was already cooking, and after asking where the honey was, she quickly took a small bowl and went over.

The kitchen had a storage room on one side for kitchen odds and ends, like all sorts of dried vegetables, and the honey jar was there too.

She pretended to scoop some honey into a small cup while no one was around, slipping it into the space, then put a little into the bowl to make it look like she was making a drink.

The next day, she planned to set off with Xiao Hei and Xiao Mi to search for bees, which should be no problem.

”We still have quite a bit of honey left. Just yesterday, your Uncle Liu brought over another jar. Do you want some?”

”Yeah, Dad, you go ahead. I’ll make a drink with it.”

Saying this, she hurried back with the bamboo cage in her hands.
