Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 211: Chapter 193: Raising a Little Brother (Part 3)

She even peeled a few white anti-inflammatory pills, instructing Wei Ziang to take one per day, and as she was about to leave, she surprisingly found a box of Yunnan Baiyao powder.

This is good stuff; it’s perfect for treating bleeding wounds, much better than just plain anti-inflammatories.

However, she couldn’t take the packaging, so she deliberately found a piece of plain white paper and wrapped it up.

After thinking about it, she also found a tetanus shot. Although Wei Ziang’s wounds were at least over half a month old, she decided to give him the shot just to be safe.

She put everything in a bamboo basket, especially the syringe, so he wouldn’t see it.

Back in the room, she indeed found Wei Ziang lying on the bed. Hearing a noise, he looked up and smiled at seeing her, calling out her name cheerfully.

Xiaomi muttered in her heart, is this perhaps the baby bird complex?

Then she poured hot water, added cold water, and also poured some iodine into a basin.

”Big brother, let me clean the wounds on your body again and then apply some medicine.” In fact, it was just applying iodine, which can disinfect and prevent the wounds from getting infected.

Wei Ziang nodded slightly: ”Okay.”

He then propped himself up, allowing Xiaomi to remove the bandages on his body.

As she unwrapped them, Wei Ziang blushed a little since he wasn’t wearing any clothes underneath.

But Xiaomi didn’t feel anything about it; he was just a little kid, only five years old. Back at the orphanage when she was younger, she had often helped to bathe little kids around his age.

After cleaning his body, she reapplied iodine for disinfection, wrapped him in clean bandages, and gave him pajamas and beach shorts to put on.

During this time, Wei Ziang was determined not to make a sound, but he couldn’t help but gasp a bit. It was evident he was in pain, cold sweat breaking out from it.

He lay there on the bed afterward, breathing heavily, showing just how uncomfortable he was.

Seeing this, Xiaomi’s heart ached, and in her mind, she cursed that despicable assailant countless times.

”Big brother, turn your head over, don’t look over here.” Xiaomi coaxed gently, even more tenderly than she would with her own Iron Egg.

Wei Ziang was momentarily stunned and then ’oh’-ed and obediently turned his head away.

Once assured he couldn’t see anything, Xiaomi quickly took the injection from the bamboo basket, pulled his shirt down over his shoulder, disinfected the arm with iodine, and swiftly gave the shot.

Wei Ziang shivered a bit but didn’t turn his head; Xiaomi finished quickly, hurriedly taking the items out of the room, afraid of being discovered.

”All done, you can turn back now. Take some medicine to recover faster.”

Xiaomi handed him an anti-inflammatory pill, along with some warm water: ”This medicine is a bit bitter, just try to bear it.”

Wei Ziang’s eyes curved with a gentle smile: ”Okay.”

Without getting up, he took the pill in the lying position, following it with water.

Luckily, it wasn’t a capsule, otherwise, you’d have to remove the capsule and just take the powder.

”There’s another pack here, but don’t take the two kinds of medicine together. Take this one five or six hours later.”

Xiaomi took out a small packet of the Yunnan Baiyao powder.

”I will find you a small spoon later; each time... forget it, I’ll pre-pack it for you, just take a small pack each time.”

She had just checked; each dose of Yunnan Baiyao powder was 0.5 grams, though she didn’t know exactly how much that was, she could find a small scale that measures grams. It might be a bit of a hassle, but it can be done.

”Thank you, Xiaomi.” Wei Ziang’s tone was slow and tender as if he thoroughly considered his words before speaking.

Since there was no rush, Xiaomi lay down on the bed’s side: ”Big brother, do you really not remember anything? What about your parents?”

Wei Ziang hesitated for a moment, trying hard to recall, but after a long while, he shook his head: ”I don’t remember.”

”Oh.” Xiaomi thought for a bit: ”Alright then, you just focus on getting better here. When things are better outside, I’ll take you home, okay?”

Wei Ziang was puzzled: ”Isn’t this Xiaomi’s home?”

Xiaomi squinted her eyes and shook her head: ”This is my secret base, only I know about it. Well, now big brother knows too, but once we go to my house, you mustn’t tell my parents, okay?”

Anyway, keeping one more is raising one more; keeping two more is raising two more. There were already five kids at home, one more wouldn’t be an issue.

Wei Ziang obediently nodded: ”Okay.”

Xiaomi’s eyes darted: ”Good kids don’t lie, if you dare to tell, you’ll become a little mute, understand?”

Wei Ziang shrunk back a little; it seemed I had scared him, for he nodded repeatedly: ”I won’t tell, this is a secret.”

”Alright, I trust big brother won’t say anything, let’s talk about something else, otherwise you’ll be alone again when I leave later.”

Xiaomi thought for a moment, picking up the book next to her, ”The Classic of Mountains and Seas”: ”I’ll read to you, alright? Since you don’t remember anything now, we don’t know what to chat about.”
