Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 207: Chapter 192: As Expected, Younger Sisters Are More Considerate (Part 2)

Once the water boiled, I steamed the fish, two plates, one for Wei Ziang and the other with two pieces for Xiahei and Xiaomei.

Steam for fifteen minutes, then let it sit for another three minutes, pour hot oil over it, and add some fish soy sauce.

Xiaomi took a deep breath.

No, no, when there’s a chance in the future, I’ve got to let Mom and Dad taste this fish soy sauce, it’s so fragrant!

”Big brother, this fish smells so good, try it, here, I’ll heat up this porridge for you.”

Xiaomi happily placed the fish by the bedside, set a small table on the bed, then put the steamed fish and chopsticks on it, signaling him to eat first.

She heated the porridge and brought over a pot of hot water.

Then she noticed that Wei Ziang hadn’t touched his chopsticks, tilted her head in confusion, ”Big brother, why aren’t you eating? Aren’t you hungry?”

Wei Ziang held his chopsticks, ”Aren’t you eating?”

So he was waiting for her! Xiaomi smiled, her eyes curving into little crescent moons, ”I’ve already eaten, this is just for you.”

Wei Ziang was obviously surprised but still nodded with a smile, ”Thank you, Xiaomi.”

As the first bite of fish entered his mouth, Wei Ziang was slightly taken aback, immediately praising, ”This is so delicious! Xiaomi, you’re amazing, so young and already such a great cook.”

Xiaomi giggled without saying much, just took an empty bowl, poured in half a bowl of hot water, added a little cold water, and then scooped in a few spoonfuls of milk powder.

”Drink this, if I come back late sometimes and you’re hungry, just make yourself some, cold water is fine too.”

The cold water here was all from the Spiritual Spring and didn’t affect anything if drunk directly.

Wei Ziang’s eyes were full of delight, he took the milk powder Xiaomi offered, first sipping a little, savoring it slowly, then finishing most of the bowl.

”It’s very tasty, Xiaomi, what is this?”

Xiaomi had already brought over a small wooden bucket with a lid, also made of wood.

”I don’t know what it is, but you can drink it; it’s good for your body too. If you’re hungry, just help yourself. After eating, leave the dishes by the bed; I have a little something to do outside, I’ll tidy up later.”

Xiaomi moved a table to the bedside, placing the water, a few empty bowls, and the milk powder on it, then hurriedly left the courtyard.

First, she called back Xiahei and Xiaomei, closed the main door, and left the space.

This time she spent quite a while in the space, in other people’s eyes, it was only morning, having just gotten up, she had slept half of another hour.

Sure enough, just as she got out of bed, Mother returned, taking a few steps to Xiaomi’s side.

”Are you feeling unwell? How come you just got up and went back to sleep again? Did washing up last night give you a cold?”

Xiaomi shook her head, ”Mom, I’m fine, just didn’t sleep well last night, a bit tired. Aren’t you and Father watering the sorghum? Why are you back?”

Second Mother touched Xiaomi’s forehead and neck, even pinching her palm, assured she was fine, she was slightly relieved.

”Your second sister said in the field that you fell asleep again, Mom was worried, so I came back to check.”

Xiaomi immediately laughed, ”Mom, I’m really fine.”

As she said this, she pulled Second Mother along, running outside, ”Mom, second sister said there’s lots of water in the pond, is it true? I haven’t seen it yet.”

Seeing Xiaomi regain her vitality, Second Mother was finally at ease, smiling as she quickened her pace to keep up.

”There’s indeed a lot of water, everyone’s busy watering the sorghum.”

Once outside, sure enough, she saw many villagers coming and going, all busy hauling water and irrigating the fields, almost everyone was out, hauling water or watering the fields.

It seemed like if delayed, the next moment the sorghum would wither away.

Xiaomi pretended to be surprised as she came to the pond, no surprise that the pond water was almost all drawn up.

But listening to the discussion around, at least most people had watered their sorghum fields adequately.

”Xiaomi, you’re here.” A cheerful aunt greeted Xiaomi with a smile, ”Here, today’s your and your brother’s birthday, take this and share it with him.”

The aunt gave Xiaomi two pieces of dried meat, not big, even quite small, about finger-sized.

Xiaomi happily accepted, ”Thank you, auntie!”

She never refused others’ kindness, and accepting it made them even happier.

Second Mother was a step behind, catching up to Xiaomi when the dried meat was already tucked into Xiaomi’s bosom.
