Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2946: Chapter 2044: Turning the Tide_2

Vice Chairman Morgan’s eyes were bright as torches at this moment, and he couldn’t suppress the smile forming at the corners of his mouth.

”Wait!”

But just then, the door of the conference room was suddenly pushed open from outside, and someone strode in, bringing in a gust of fresh wind and letting out a loud shout.

Wen Yan was interrupted, and looked at the newcomer in shock.

Bai Xuanyu also raised his head, his gaze focused on that direction, and then he frowned slightly.

Everyone present was also surprised and turned their heads to look.

The person who barged in to interrupt Wen Yan was none other than Bai Xiaosheng.

Vice Chairman Morgan, seeing it was him, had a flash of hatred in his eyes.

As the saying goes, enemies meet, eyes burn with anger. Bai Xiaosheng had harmed him to this extent, and just when the result was about to come out, unexpectedly, he came to cause trouble again!

This Asian bastard, I won’t end until you’re dead! Vice Chairman Morgan vowed hatefully in his heart.

”Bai Xiaosheng, what are you doing here?!” asked a vice chairman sitting next to Morgan, frowning.

Another person from their ranks also said unhappily in a deep voice, ”You know what kind of meeting this is, only vice chairmen are qualified to enter, how can you barge in like this, it’s increasingly unruly!”

The one who had just spoken immediately followed up, ”Despite being a business president, just recently, you were rewarded by the headquarters, yet you act so recklessly, you should leave!”

Facing the successive accusations from the two people, Bai Xiaosheng remained calm, did not retreat but advanced, and walked over.

”Sheng... Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, you’re here in such a hurry, is there some urgent matter happening in the group?” Wen Yan raised his voice.

Barging into a high-level meeting is definitely taboo in the group, also a major breach in corporate conduct, Wen Yan believed Bai Xiaosheng wouldn’t act so rashly without reason.

He was giving Bai Xiaosheng an excuse.

”No.” Bai Xiaosheng replied calmly.

”Absurd, no urgent matter, who gave you the courage to barge in!”

”You, young man, are becoming increasingly arrogant, truly taking pride in your achievements!”

The two vice chairmen standing for Morgan’s cause shouted angrily, one sentence per person.

”You’re being too excessive!”

Li Yunyuan restrained them with a deep voice, then looked at Bai Xiaosheng and asked, ”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng, what is your purpose here?”

Li Yunyuan also wanted to give Bai Xiaosheng a way out, as long as Bai Xiaosheng said any reason, he would help Bai Xiaosheng make sense of it.

However, in this matter, Bai Xiaosheng was indeed being abrupt.

Barging into the meeting room means not only dealing with the sharp-tongued two vice chairmen but also Bai Xuanyu would be difficult to placate.

Li Yunyuan thought Bai Xiaosheng might have heard the commotion from outside and, upon hearing the outcome within, entered out of unwillingness.

However, this was even harder to explain since Bai Xiaosheng listening from outside itself was a major taboo.

No matter what, Li Yunyuan resolved to shield Bai Xiaosheng from blame for his actions.

Vice Chairman Morgan’s issues could be lightly dealt with, why should Bai Xiaosheng be penalized for this!

Are there no principles of justice in this world!

At this moment, Bai Xuanyu looked up at Bai Xiaosheng, his eyes shimmering coldly, meaning unclear.

In response to Li Yunyuan’s question, Bai Xiaosheng courteously and calmly said, ”Vice Chairman Li Yunyuan, I am here to attend the meeting.”

Everyone, including Li Yunyuan, was stunned by this phrase.

Of all things Bai Xiaosheng could say, he chose this...

”What a joke, this is a meeting only vice chairmen can attend, what rank is Bai Xiaosheng? You are just a business president!”

A vice chairman beside Morgan shouted.

”We say again, you do not have the qualification to attend!” another person also raised their voice.

Wen Yan and Li Yunyuan gave Bai Xiaosheng a complex look.

Bai Xiaosheng was surely unwilling, but this was indeed not his rank’s meeting.

”Bai Xiaosheng.” Bai Xuanyu spoke.

The other voices instantly quieted down somewhat.

”Considering your previous significant contributions to the group, and the effort you’ve invested in this matter, thus inevitably making some inappropriate actions, I won’t pursue this behavior. Remember, don’t make the mistake next time, or I won’t be polite.” Bai Xuanyu directly gestured toward the door, ”Leave and close the door behind you.”

Vice Chairman Morgan glanced at Bai Xiaosheng, secretly sneering.

He’s truly insane, worrying to such an extent for his own affair, actually thinking he could barge into the meeting to turn the tide.

Morgan suddenly hoped Bai Xiaosheng would refuse to comply and clash with Bai Xuanyu.

That would be brilliant!

As Morgan wished, Bai Xiaosheng did not leave, his gaze went past everyone and landed on Bai Xuanyu’s face.

Under the gaze of various people, Bai Xiaosheng suddenly smiled, took out a neatly folded piece of paper, unfolded it, and showed it to Bai Xuanyu and everyone.

”Years ago, Old Chairman Bai Zhenbei had laid down a provision, which hasn’t been used all this time, and naturally hasn’t been abolished.” Bai Xiaosheng said slowly, ”Mr. Bai originated from Huaxia, where the notion of abdication and appointing the worthy has existed since ancient times. Surely everyone knows what provision I’m talking about?”

Everyone present was taken aback.

Bai Xuanyu’s eyes showed confusion.

Wen Yan was the same.

These two prided themselves on understanding everything about the group, but they had never heard of such a bizarre provision.

Among the vice chairmen present, there were one or two who appeared bewildered for a moment.

But Li Yunyuan seemed to remember something, first shocked, and then his expression slowly turned incredulous.

Li Yunyuan suddenly got up, walked to Bai Xiaosheng, took the piece of paper from his hand, and read its contents closely.

”Bai Xiaosheng, what kind of mystification are you creating, I know the group regulations well, I’ve never heard of anything related to Huaxia’s appointing the worthy.” Bai Xuanyu asserted.

”There is!”

Li Yunyuan suddenly interjected, turning around with Bai Xiaosheng’s paper, his eyes gleaming.

Bai Xuanyu was stunned, looking at Li Yunyuan puzzled.

Wen Yan was the same.

Older vice chairmen present seemed to recall something as well, their expressions incredulous.

Li Yunyuan said solemnly, ”Back when the old chairman led a few of us in building the group, the group wasn’t as vast, it was just a small company, he appointed vice-chairmen positions to us and established quite an interesting rule saying that once the company grew bigger, if we brothers wished to retire, we could pass our title to a company-approved person, saying the company would continue to provide vice-chairman treatment for our retirement!”

”That’s right, I remember this provision!”

”I remember too!”

Two people aligned with Li Yunyuan nodded immediately, their eyes brightened as if filled with recollections, seeming to return to their days of youthful struggle.

Even the two vice-chairmen beside Morgan, their expressions changed slightly as if they recalled.

Actually, this regulation was more like a joke at that time, merely written into formal rules.

Which vice-chairman would hand over his position to someone else in the company, even to someone validly recognized by the company.

”So?” Bai Xuanyu suddenly felt a mysterious sensation.

Li Yunyuan raised the paper in his hand high, speaking loudly, ”Vice Chairman Lu Cheng’an is now handing over his position to Bai Xiaosheng, as evidence. Bai Xiaosheng has tirelessly worked for the group for years and made outstanding contributions, highly recognized throughout the group! This letter of abdication is valid, witness—Situ Yin!”

The moment ”Situ Yin” was mentioned, the audience fell silent.

Even Bai Xuanyu was momentarily speechless.

Situ Yin was not just merely Old Chairman Bai Zhenbei’s secretary assistant, he was the group guardian!

Back then, whether it was Bai Xuanyu ascending as acting chairman, or Wen Yan overseeing the supervisory department, it was him delivering the messages.

He could represent the Old Chairman!

Right now, whether it was Bai Xuanyu or anyone else, no one dared deny this document!

Otherwise, it would mean denying Situ Yin’s authority and the Old Chairman’s provision!

Suddenly, everyone fell silent.

Bai Xuanyu was speechless; if he denied this paper, would that mean denying his current position too...

Wen Yan’s eyes instantly brightened.

Lu Cheng’an handing over the position to Bai Xiaosheng meant Bai Xiaosheng was now a group vice-chairman!

The seven vice-chairmen are now complete!

”I said I’m here for the meeting, did I come late?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

Wen Yan smiled at Bai Xiaosheng, saying word by word, ”Not early, not late, just on time.”

”Bai Xiaosheng, Vice Chairman!”
