Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2912: Chapter 2028: Eliminated (Part 2)

Kaleb immediately remembered that he was one of Vice Chairman Morgan’s people!

Vice Chairman Morgan, he stands above both Mrs. Margery and Bai Xiaosheng!

Thinking of this, Kaleb’s back straightened a bit.

At the same time, he also began to taste the underlying tone.

Although Mrs. Margery seemed to take a neutral stance questioning Bai Xiaosheng earlier, their conversation was practically harmonizing like a duet!

In an instant, Kaleb became a fool, neither here nor there!

Kaleb’s heart suddenly surged with anger, and his courage swelled.

”That’s not right, Mr. Bai, I didn’t know your identity earlier, and you didn’t explicitly tell me. So when I talked to Miss Clark, even if I was somewhat offensive to you, I shouldn’t be scolded or hit. Isn’t there a saying in Huaxia, ’Ignorance is no crime!’?”

Kaleb heated up, and his mind started working better, actually arguing confidently with Bai Xiaosheng right in front of Mrs. Margery.

He was also gambling.

Mrs. Margery would never let him be so ”bullied”, after all, he stood for Vice Chairman Morgan.

In other words, he represented Vice Chairman Morgan’s face!

”Yes, ignorance is no crime.” Mrs. Margery turned to Bai Xiaosheng and said.

Bai Xiaosheng looked speechless, even sighed in public, then coldly glanced at Kaleb.

”So, Mr. Kaleb, you blame me for not informing you of my identity immediately, is that it?” Bai Xiaosheng said expressionlessly, ”It seems that the chairman of the group, vice chairman, and business president, should rush to inform you of their status to avoid offending you under the excuse of ignorance, and you speak so righteously.”

”What a pity, you don’t have that kind of qualification!”

”I, as the president of a business division, have no need to prove my identity to you!”

Kaleb was instantly at a loss for words.

Bai Xiaosheng then looked at Mrs. Margery and politely said, ”Mrs. Margery, truth be told, there are some matters I want to discuss with you. Although they are internal affairs of your Sixth Business Division, I can’t hold it in.”

Mrs. Margery smiled at these words, responding graciously, ”You’re too polite, Mr. Bai. You’ve done a great favor for my Sixth Business Division, we’re all family, speak freely.”

Bai Xiaosheng nodded and said in front of everyone, ”Before being interrupted by Mr. Kaleb, I had a work-related exchange with Miss Clark, and I greatly admire her operational performance over the past year.”

”I believe among you, some may be familiar with the enterprise operations under Miss Clark, while others might not be as clear. I can highlight a couple of examples for you.”

”For instance, the merger and acquisition case that happened half a year ago in the enterprise under Miss Clark’s supervision, was executed beautifully...”

Bai Xiaosheng cited examples, publicly praising Miss Clark’s enterprise management.

After listening to several matters, everyone around nodded frequently, looking at Miss Clark with admiration.

Miss Clark, however, stared at Bai Xiaosheng in disbelief.

The situations Bai Xiaosheng mentioned were not told to him by her, yet he knew so much, understanding her situation so thoroughly!

After appraising the accomplishments of Clark’s enterprise, Bai Xiaosheng said, ”This time, Miss Clark’s enterprise was the only one that encountered a major natural disaster but still managed a perfect self-rescue. With such capability, is there anyone dissatisfied?”

Everyone present shook their heads.

Kaleb listened with mixed feelings, silently.

What Bai Xiaosheng said was undoubtedly the truth, and since it involved Miss Clark, he really had no grounds to refute.

Reid standing beside had a hint of puzzlement looking at Bai Xiaosheng and then at Clark.

He was unsure why Bai Xiaosheng was suddenly elevating Miss Clark.

Could it be, Mr. Bai Xiaosheng really has taken a liking to Miss Clark?

Mrs. Margery remained calmly observant, occasionally nodding slightly at Bai Xiaosheng’s words.

”Therefore, I believe, with Miss Clark’s ability, creativity, and practical spirit, she is the most qualified person to become the next executive president of the Sixth Business Division,” Bai Xiaosheng turned his words to Mrs. Margery, ”I will recommend this to headquarters!”

These words revitalized everyone present.

There were already rumors that Kaleb would be the next executive president, but many felt discontented with that.

Kaleb’s ability was average, and his character was questionable.

If he were to ascend, many would feel annoyed.

Therefore, with Bai Xiaosheng’s endorsement of Miss Clark, everyone felt it was quite agreeable.

Miss Clark looked at Bai Xiaosheng in shock, never expecting he would publicly support her.

In contrast, Kaleb’s expression suddenly changed, eyes turning sullen.

Bai Xiaosheng complimenting Miss Clark was fine, but if it meant ruining his future, he couldn’t accept that!

”Mr. Bai, it is true you are an external aid sent by the group, but you do not have the authority to interfere in our Sixth Business Division’s internal affairs, do you?” Kaleb shouted.

He was also trying to prompt Mrs. Margery to speak.

Mrs. Margery was, after all, the person in charge of the Sixth Business Division, how could she allow an ”outsider” to influence matters under her authority?

”Mr. Kaleb, I was about to address your issues, why are you in such a hurry to step forth?”

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled lightly before Mrs. Margery could speak, addressing Kaleb.

”What, what do you mean by that, what issues do I have?” Kaleb frowned and asked.

Bai Xiaosheng’s lips curled into a sneer, then his expression became serious.

If there was a heavy aura of authority surrounding him before, at this moment, it turned sharp.
