Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2938: Chapter 2040: Conflict (2)

”If it’s personal, Mr. Wen Yan is my friend, and I won’t allow anyone to hit him in front of me.”

Bai Xiaosheng looked into Bai Xuanyu’s eyes and said, ”And the words you just said to me are very disrespectful and unbefitting of your status.”

Arguing based on reason, neither humble nor arrogant.

These words from Bai Xiaosheng truly left Bai Xuanyu speechless. He exhaled heavily from his nose, trying to calm down a bit.

Beside them, Vice Chairman Morgan saw this scene and couldn’t help but glance resentfully at Bai Xiaosheng.

In fact, seeing Bai Xuanyu reprimand Bai Xuan Yan in public, even about to lay hands, Vice Chairman Morgan was excited.

The bigger the trouble, the more opportunities he has!

Vice Chairman Morgan even contemplated how to use Bai Xuanyu as an escape from today’s crisis.

After all, with Caroline’s incident first, Bai Xuanyu certainly doesn’t want the situation to worsen.

But unexpectedly, Bai Xuanyu was stopped by Bai Xiaosheng. After a conversation, there was actually a sense of retreat and truce.

Vice Chairman Morgan’s heart suddenly grew anxious, and at the same time, he truly hated Bai Xiaosheng.

If it weren’t for Bai Xiaosheng, he wouldn’t be in such a predicament.

Over a decade, Wen Yan had peacefully coexisted with him without budging an inch.

Without Bai Xiaosheng, Mrs. Margery wouldn’t have betrayed, and Caroline wouldn’t have died.

This menace!

”Mr. Xuanyu, this Bai Xiaosheng, he’s teaching you how to do things. You’re our acting chairman; how can you be swayed by him!” Vice Chairman Morgan approached Bai Xuanyu from behind, whispering, ”And Caroline was driven to death by him!”

”He also incited Caroline’s brother to usurp the position of Family Head, such vile methods!”

”Moreover, he colluded with Margery, using a heap of groundless, false evidence to threaten me!”

”Even just now, he insisted on continuing this meeting, completely heartless!”

”Mr. Xuanyu, acting chairman, you must stand for me! Otherwise, otherwise, I fear I might just follow Caroline’s path and jump off this building...”

By the end, Vice Chairman Morgan’s voice carried a sob.

The fire Bai Xuanyu had lowered instantly rose again, his gaze slightly narrowed as he looked at Bai Xiaosheng, but he didn’t forget to turn and comfort Vice Chairman Morgan, saying, ”Rest assured, Mr. Morgan. Today, with me here, no one can touch you!”

”Ah! Ah!”

Upon hearing Bai Xuanyu publicly ”promise” this, Vice Chairman Morgan nodded repeatedly, his gaze cold as he slyly glanced at Bai Xiaosheng.

”Acting Chairman, regarding all the issues with Vice Chairman Morgan, we have ample physical and personal evidence that can withstand any verification. Furthermore, the meeting process complies with the group regulations, even you cannot make arbitrary decisions!” Bai Xiaosheng reminded upon seeing Bai Xuanyu say this.

Bai Xuanyu sized up Bai Xiaosheng with cold eyes, ”What you said just now is very good; you want to speak by rules, so I’ll speak of rules with you.”

”What is your position, and what is my position?” Bai Xuanyu said proudly, ”Now, as acting chairman, I decide to terminate the meeting; all matters will be discussed later. Would you dare resist!”

It was clear that in the words of the group’s highest leader, all resolutions are unquestionable.

He was clearly suppressing Bai Xiaosheng and was also suppressing the people present.

Today’s events have been enough; there are countless troubles to face next, and he doesn’t want any further complications.

If another Vice Chairman has something happen, it can’t be explained externally at all. By then, public opinion would explode, causing the company’s stock market to plunge dramatically.

The losses would be immeasurable.

Bai Xuanyu believed that he was considering from a whole perspective.

Besides, Bai Xuanyu sees Vice Chairman Morgan, who has always supported him, and whose contributions over the years are well known; any errors are inevitable.

Everyone present, for each one of them, who doesn’t have a few minor issues?

As they say, ”Water too clean has no fish,” even serious problems can be addressed and considered later; there’s no need to solve everything today.

Facing Bai Xuanyu’s words, Vice Chairman Morgan was overjoyed, as if he saw great hope.

”I don’t intend to resist the acting chairman’s decision, but this matter has already been concluded. When you arrived, the meeting was already over, and the decisions regarding Vice Chairman Morgan had been made. Are you saying the acting chairman intends to use his position to defy the resolutions of the group’s ’Fifteen-Person Meeting’ and protest the authority entrusted to us by the Board of Directors?!” Bai Xiaosheng’s voice accelerated, ending with a direct inquiry.

Bai Xuanyu’s gaze sharpened like a blade, coldly glaring at Bai Xiaosheng.

”Mr. Bai Xiaosheng is right; the meeting has concluded, decisions have been made, and even the acting chairman cannot alter them as per group regulations!” Wen Yan stood beside Bai Xiaosheng, his voice steadfast, firmly supporting Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xuanyu’s sharp gaze turned to his brother without blood relations; in the past, he had never rebelled against him like this, even if there was some firmness, it was never so decisive.

Today, to support Bai Xiaosheng, Wen Yan dared to act like this!

”Acting Chairman, what Bai Xiaosheng said is true; the meeting has concluded, and decisions have been made.”

Another voice calmly sounded.

Bai Xuanyu looked over and unexpectedly found it was Li Yunyuan, even he stood for Bai Xiaosheng.

”Indeed, I can testify, a decision has been reached!”

”It’s a formal decision via standard procedure!”

”According to group rules, since you were absent, Acting Chairman, you cannot sway the outcome!”

One by one, people began to speak.

One after another Vice Chairman and business presidents started to declare their stance. Previously they remained silent, but now they were stepping forward to support Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xuanyu looked at them one by one, the resolve in his gaze quickly fading.

Vice Chairman Morgan, behind him, watched with a pale face and trembling lips.

Whether they uphold justice or throw stones while one is down, all are intent on seeing him doomed.

Such unprecedented unity!

After the last person voiced, Bai Xuanyu finally nodded, looked at Bai Xiaosheng, and said, ”Okay, okay. You’ve used the procedures quite formally and skillfully. But you should also know that the old chairman left the rule that to dispose of a Vice Chairman, it requires a vote by the seven main Vice Chairmen, over half must pass to be valid. Now I will wait for that vote result!”

After saying this, Bai Xuanyu glanced at everyone and turned to leave.

Vice Chairman Morgan slyly peeked at everyone and quickly followed.

The people present watched the two leave, their hearts filled with mixed emotions.

”Alright, all vice chairmen, all business presidents, the meeting is over, please go back.” Wen Yan addressed everyone.

Everyone nodded quietly and left.

With Caroline’s incident, there was a sense of heaviness in everyone’s heart.

Wen Yan quietly pulled Bai Xiaosheng, gesturing for him to follow to his office.

Bai Xiaosheng understood and nodded.

When they reached Wen Yan’s office, the door closed, but Wen Yan deeply furrowed his brows.

”The situation is severe. It seems Bai Xuanyu won’t let us touch Vice Chairman Morgan.” Wen Yan spoke straightforwardly.

”Why?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

”Vice Chairman Morgan has consistently been a firm supporter of Bai Xuanyu; of course, that’s just one of the personal reasons.” Wen Yan said, ”Bai Xuanyu is also a traditionalist, unwilling to see changes in the structure of the seven main Vice Chairmen. Besides, with Caroline’s matter first, he doesn’t want further complications.”

”Then can he still sway the outcome?” Bai Xiaosheng said slowly.

Wen Yan sighed, counting on his fingers, ”To dispose of a Vice Chairman, it needs more than half of the seven main Vice Chairmen to pass, which means at least four. Right now, Mr. Lu Cheng’an is seriously ill and hospitalized, unable to even appear in a wheelchair, leaving only six. Taking away Vice Chairman Morgan, there are five left. Among these five, four need to agree to proceed!”

”Didn’t you notice just now, two vice chairmen were not particularly vocal on punishing Vice Chairman Morgan? If Bai Xuanyu truly wants to protect Vice Chairman Morgan temporarily, he can manage to sway one or two...this time, Vice Chairman Morgan might evade it again!”

Upon hearing this, Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes grew solemn.

After a long time, he finally said one sentence.

”No way!”
