Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2907: Chapter 2026: The First Candidate

Bai Xiaosheng and this Miss Clark sat opposite each other in the sofa area at a corner of the banquet hall, a waiter brought them drinks.

”I haven’t asked yet, what should I call you?” Miss Clark looked at Bai Xiaosheng and asked with a smile.

”You can call me ’Bai’.” Bai Xiaosheng replied.

Regarding his real name, Bai Xiaosheng didn’t hide it, and he wouldn’t mind if this Miss Clark noticed.

”Bai.” Miss Clark awkwardly repeated the word ’Bai’ and gave Bai Xiaosheng an apologetic smile.

”I’m really sorry, my pronunciation is terrible, Huaxia language is my weak point. I still don’t know the name of that business executive from Huaxia, I just can’t remember it. Many people have emphasized it to me several times, but I just can’t remember.”

It seems that even introducing himself, people still couldn’t recognize him...

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but smile, not feeling at all frustrated about it.

”So what if you can’t remember, what’s the point, why put yourself through it,” Bai Xiaosheng casually said.

Upon hearing Bai Xiaosheng say that, Clarke gave him a peculiar look, gazed him up and down, and said with a smile, ”I didn’t expect you to be so open-minded, unlike others who always place great importance on networking. By the way, you have a Huaxia name, so you’re likely from there, do you have any connection with that Asian business executive?”

Bai Xiaosheng guessed that she had made it to the final four for the Sixth Business Division’s executive president, surely indicating exceptional connections and channels.

Clarke was willing to sit down and chat with him, hoping to gather some unexpected information.

Bai Xiaosheng noncommittally sipped his wine, before he could speak, someone else approached smiling, holding a wine glass, eager to chat with Clarke.

Clarke gave Bai Xiaosheng an apologetic smile and got up to engage.

Though this Miss Clark claimed that no one at the event had caught her eye, showing some arrogance.

But when meeting this person who took the initiative to converse, she still politely engaged in small talk.

This was a form of etiquette.

Bai Xiaosheng sat there, sipping wine, glanced around, then his gaze returned to Clarke’s face again.

Initially, it was just a casual glance, all Bai Xiaosheng saw was a smiling profile.

But from that glimpse, Bai Xiaosheng’s heart was suddenly stirred, and he gazed intently at Clarke.

From this angle, this Miss Clark particularly resembled someone!

Miss Clark made small talk with a few people, about to finish the conversation, and upon noticing Bai Xiaosheng’s gaze, she instinctively smiled at him.

This smile once again stirred something within Bai Xiaosheng.

A profile, a frontal view, the charm in the smiles, all deeply imprinted in Bai Xiaosheng’s mind, comparing them to someone’s image.

Bai Xiaosheng suddenly had a bold speculation.

An interesting imagination.

After the person chatting with Clarke left, Clarke sat down, seeing Bai Xiaosheng still looking at her, she couldn’t help but smile.

Women naturally enjoy being admired by young, handsome men, just as men like to be noticed by young, beautiful women.

”Why are you looking at me like that? What topic were we discussing?” Clarke asked with a smile.

Bai Xiaosheng retracted his gaze and smiled, ”Miss Clark, you are so popular, surely you must have a high support rate. Now that you’ve made it into the final four candidates, you should stand out in the next round, right? Should I congratulate you in advance for becoming the executive president?”

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng taking the initiative to discuss this, Clarke smiled and said, ”It seems you are quite confident in me.”

Then, Clarke sighed slightly, laughing mockingly, ”But, will I really be the one to win in the end?”

Bai Xiaosheng’s gaze showed a hint of surprise.

Seeing her say so but noticing his expression, as if not privy to more insider information, she was slightly disappointed yet kept a calm face, smiling, ”Let’s not talk about this. I haven’t asked, which company are you managing now, and what business are you in?”

Noticing Clarke’s subtle change in attitude, Bai Xiaosheng’s mind shifted slightly, communicating internally with Red Lotus, ”Red Lotus, pull up the list of the current four candidates for the Sixth Business Division’s executive presidency, and search for information on each of them for me.”

”Understood, searching online information... connecting to the internal network...”

As Red Lotus responded, a lot of information flooded into Bai Xiaosheng’s mind.

Soon, Bai Xiaosheng locked onto a name in his mind, also gaining an answer to Clarke’s change in demeanor.

However, this internal change happened in an instant, with no trace on Bai Xiaosheng’s face, he smiled and answered Clarke’s question, ”I dabble in quite a variety of businesses, I’m someone who prefers to take on challenging tasks!”

This answer was quite vague, yet carried some arrogance.

Clarke couldn’t help but laugh, ”Didn’t expect someone like you who’s not very old to act so maturely, your demeanor is more like someone trying to become an executive president.”

Bai Xiaosheng smiled in response.

Just then, another person approached to greet Clarke.

Clarke stood up again to manage the conversation.

This time, after one person finished, another stepped forward, Clarke continuously chatted with three waves of people coming to engage.

Her popularity was evident.

Bai Xiaosheng sat there watching her, his mind racing.

The unexpected meeting with this Miss Clark was indeed a surprising find.
