Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2787: Chapter 1972: Mr. Guoba

As noon approached, the flight carrying Bai Xiaosheng and his two companions landed on Liwu Island, part of the Oceanian island nation of Mogran.

On this island was Morglan’s third-largest city—Melantobas.

As soon as the three stepped out of the airport, someone approached them with a smile.

At this moment, the combination of two men and one woman from Huaxia was quite recognizable.

In front of Bai Xiaosheng and the others stood a young Caucasian man, about the same age as Bai Xiaosheng, chubby and round yet dressed formally in a suit. His smiling demeanor was rather festive.

Following the chubby young man were two attendants.

”Excuse me, are you Mr. Bai?” the young man inquired politely, smiling warmly.

”I am.” Bai Xiaosheng nodded, sizing up the person, and smiled, ”Were you sent by Mr. Auston?”

Bai Xiaosheng had mentioned to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying on the way that he asked Auston to arrange for someone to guide them here.

After all, being newcomers here, it would be inconvenient without someone to help them understand the local conditions.

They managed to shake off the Fei’er sisters and did not want to be noticed by their own company’s headquarters right upon arrival.

Although Fei’er and Mollya knew they were in Mogran, Mogran was vast, and were uncertain on which island they were, so for the moment, they’d vanished from view, allowing them relative freedom.

The chubby Caucasian man chuckled and said, ”Mr. Bai, I’m Mr. Auston’s nephew. You can call me Guoba.”

As he spoke, Guoba nodded with a smile at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, as a form of greeting.

”Guoba?”

Upon hearing the name, the trio was momentarily startled.

The chubby gentleman in front of them even had a name related to food, and given his wealth, it wasn’t without reason...

”So, ’Guoba’... what did Mr. Auston say about us?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

Bai Xiaosheng had indeed mentioned to Auston that he wanted their identities and itinerary kept secret.

Upon hearing this, ”Guoba” quickly said with a smile, ”My uncle only said you are his friends. As for your identities, he didn’t tell me anything.”

When saying this, ”Guoba” looked curious and a bit expectant, seemingly hoping Bai Xiaosheng would introduce himself.

In response, Bai Xiaosheng just smiled, ”We are very good friends of Mr. Auston; that’s all you need to know.”

Upon hearing this, ”Guoba” nodded eagerly with a smile.

In truth, Auston had gone a step further: he emphasized that these three Huaxia people are esteemed guests who cannot under any circumstances be treated with the slightest neglect. As long as they’re in Mogran, whenever they have any needs, he must attend to them with the utmost diligence.

”Guoba” had never seen his uncle so gravely repeat such instructions, yet without revealing the guests’ identities.

”Mr. Bai, the car is waiting outside, and we’ve also prepared a luncheon.”

”Guoba” smiled at Bai Xiaosheng, gesturing invitingly.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded and led Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying outside.

There, in the airport’s outer plaza, a stretched business car was parked. Despite being plump, ”Guoba” moved quickly, hurrying to open the car door for Bai Xiaosheng once they reached the vehicle.

The two people accompanying ”Guoba”—a driver and a secretary—went to the front.

Bai Xiaosheng, along with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, sat in the back with ”Guoba”.

The cabin of the car had been modified into a business suite, fitted with a leather sofa, hardwood floors, and a wine cabinet, making it exceedingly comfortable, with privacy glass providing a clear view outside.

The three were quite satisfied with the vehicle’s interior.

”Guoba” retrieved a fine bottle of red wine from the cabinet, opened it himself to pour for the three, and courteously offered it to each, ”Mr. Bai, you and your companions must be weary. Have a drink to unwind.”

Bai Xiaosheng accepted a glass of red wine with a smile, saying, ”’Mr. Guoba’, we’re about the same age. There’s no need to be overly formal; being friends with Mr. Auston doesn’t prevent us from being friends as well.”

Hearing this, ”Guoba” was immediately thrilled, ”Is that really okay?”

His uncle Auston, being the clan leader, valued this friendship greatly, and Bai’s friendship would certainly elevate his standing within the family.

”Guoba” looked even more hopeful.

This fellow’s mental age should be younger than his actual age, Bai Xiaosheng thought inwardly.

”Of course that’s okay,” Bai Xiaosheng laughed and said to ”Guoba,” ”There’s no need for ’sir’ and ’honorific’ all the time. Otherwise, I might think I’m an old fuddy-duddy. Why don’t we keep it casual?”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying also smiled encouragingly.

”Guoba” grinned broadly, and his posture relaxed, ”In that case, I’ll be casual with you.”

Bai Xiaosheng promptly nodded, ”Whatever’s more comfortable. We young people don’t need to be too formal.”

Sometimes, relaxing allows one to learn more useful information.

Seeing this, ”Guoba” relaxed a lot more.

”Bai, are you and my uncle business partners?” ”Guoba” asked tentatively.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”We just closed a big deal with your uncle, both sides stand to gain a lot. The friendship is one thing, but we also have a very close business partnership.”

”I figured as much,” ”Guoba” nodded and mumbled, ”My uncle is only that courteous to major clients. You wouldn’t believe, I was preparing for an important bidding event. But one call from my uncle, telling me to greet you first, and here I am. On the way, he called several more times, stressing repeatedly that you’re very important guests, and absolutely mustn’t be neglected.”
